I in the last two weeks have started using this and have seen amazing results I had a ton of acne covering my cheeks for the first time in my life (I've had moderate acne since I was 13) all this year and only now after starting this it started to clear not 100% but much much better to where I only have about 4-5 pimples on my face . It really works at first I was very concerned because of the coconut oil in it but then I searched with my wonderful Google-Fu and found out about the processes "Saponification", that changes the chemicals in the oils,I believe they are hydrolyzed then they are reformed to make soap!(honestly it was very fascinating I wish I had been learning this is highschool would have made me pay closer attention!XD) the only thing I've been very conscious of is it's rather drying (especially because of the colder weather) so for anyone with dry skin be sure to moisturize :) Now I just need help with scarring and my residual redness from old break outs This was a great video Cassandra ! Keep being you, Awesome Lady :)👍🏻
I have been using Dr. Bronner's liquid soap to wash my face twice daily for a few years now and I use coconut oil right afterwards to moisturize. My skin has never looked better. I think the anti-inflammatory properties of coconut oil make it a good fit for my acne prone skin. Also, leaving out dairy really improved my skin.
This soap is AMAZING, i have been using it for YEARS and it cleared my body and face acne. I also use it to wash off my make up and I noticed it makes my eye lashes grow so fast! The biggiest bottle size lasts me months...so amazing! This soap also can be used to clean your home! IM obbbbsesssed
Pure Coconut oil makes me break out so bad! I have used this soap for a year now and it works so good at clearing my acne and calming my Rosacea I love the rose and baby formula
I have gone to the dermatologist for years.... never had “ bad acne” but always had 4-5 pimples on my face at a time. I have TRIED EVERYTHING. I researched everything. Finally came across this and I have been using this for over a year now and it was always worked wonders for me! 😀
I tried this soap because you recommended it a while back. I decided to try it because it was cheap and didn’t know what else to do. I’ve been using this soap and it takes every bit of makeup off! And it has cleared my skin so much! I’ve been breaking out for months and it’s finally cleared and i haven’t been breaking out as much because of this soap!
I remember following you a long time ago before I went all natural & organic. Once I did I actually unsubscribed to every beauty channel & started from scratch subscribing to only natural channels. I’m glad to see you’re on a natural journey now as well. I wanted to also share that I have cleared up my skin by washing with baking soda either diluted in a bottle of warm water or a sprinkle from a shaker into a wet palm for extra exfoliation. & drinking lemon water daily. For moisturizing I use avocado oil because I find it absorbs better & is more moisturizing & less breakouts than coconut oil.
I just started using this too because I’m on a minimalist journey and thought this product was amazing! I got the baby non-scented version because it’s supposed to be more gentle and more suitable for sensitive skin (so it says on the bottle). I have been lovingggg it so far! Definitely my favorite cleanser I’ve tried so far for acne prone skin! Plus, I wash my hair with it 💁🏻♀️ Thank you for all your suggestions! Love your videos!
Am i the only one who's broken out more after using this soap? It worked great for about two days and then my skin started getting cystic acne again which isn't something I've had in a long time. I'd still had persistent small acne bumps that were annoying and now my face gets frequent breakouts again... Edit: nevermind i've been using shea butter to moisturize and the breakouts stopped(well, slowed down at least). I, like a fool, was using a moisturizer meant as body lotion on my face and the formula was breaking me out, not the soap(i thought it was the soap because the breakouts got worse as a result of it but i think the soap was just making my lotion react worse)
The soap is very drying, it literally takes off all the natural oils on your face, as your face lacks hydration it produces more oil than it usually does and that’s what causes breakouts. Using the appropriate face moisturizer is very important as it balances oil production in your skin. I started using this soap today, I’m a little skeptical cause as I said it felt very drying but I’ll give it at least 2 weeks to impress me :)
I tried it and immediately I got cystic acne, I no longer use it, I'm afraid of it. I prefer to wash with pure warm water. the sensibio bioderma gel goes very well my skin
I have very acne prone skin and it improved tremendously when I switched to an all natural routine. I use hemp oil to remove makeup (it's amazing) followed by oats that I have put in a coffee grinder so they are super-fine; and this removes any residual hemp oil. Then I use diluted apple cider vinegar to tone. Once a week I use a face mask with manuka honey only. I love it and my skin has improved SO much!
Ok so the coconut oil thing is tricky. My hair loves it in products and as a hair mask if I do it properly but my skin HATES it. I can use it on my lips but if it gets on the outside of my mouth I get a break out from Hell. If my hair still has coconut oil and touches my back I get a break out from Hell. But if I use it saponified in Castile I don’t break out. I don’t have any real reason for this happening but that’s how it works for me
This oil is bomb at removing makeup!! I use Dr. Bronners Peppermint and Hemp (I couldn’t find tea tree) and I took a makeup wipe across my face afterwards and all of my face makeup was gone!
Coconut oil is my holy grail along with dr. Bronners. I use the rose sent to cleanse, rose witch hazel to tone, and coconut oil to moisturize. My skin is soft, it has more elasticity, it’s brighter. I’ve used an entire 30 oz jar of organic cold-pressed coconut oil for my entire body and have not experienced clogged pores. My mother and one of my sisters now uses it, I bathe my nephew with it, and use coconut oil, he’s 6 and says he loves it and how it makes his skin feel, he has very sensitive skin as well. I used to get breakouts everywhere from dryness. They’d turn into patches of pus-like bumps that were itchy and painful. My nephew experienced it as well. All over, especially our hands. We’d found a prescription ointment which worked, but temporarily and included many chemicals I am not comfortable with putting on myself or a child. I recommend it to those I love because I believe it’s better for you. I trust this product along with coconut oil. And I hope to get all of my family to use it!! It’s non-toxic and is an 18 in 1 purpose soap. I get compliments on my skin and I love that it’s all natural. I’ve been using this since about January. We’ll see how it performs in the summer but in California, even on hot days I’ve never had a problem. It absorbs nicely and I wash my face once a day, at night. 10/10 recommend. And I prefer it over olive oil. I’ve seen various skin types benefit and think that regardless of the molecular structure, it doesn’t clog my pores. OR anyone’s I’ve suggested it to. I like using ONE product only to moisturize my skin. It’s much easier to target what could go wrong. I’ve always had very sensitive skin and this has helped sooo much. My eczema is better than it’s ever been and for that and many other reasons, I will and have always swore by dr bronners. It’s what my kids and family will be using and I trust their products. They really work to break down dirt and oils and residue on the skin. There is no need for a Clarisonic !!!! This soap is amazing and I used coconut oil with it everyday (: I hope this helped someone, somehow. It cleared my breakouts, tiny forehead pimples, and the witch hazel really helped the tone of my skin. I used his for my whole body, moping, cleaning. Next is too see how it works as a laundry detergent (: I would definitely recommend!!! There is also an unsented baby one (:
I’ve watched your videos forever and looking back at this video you have literally saved my life in curing my cystic acne. You’re so thorough and helped me learn about products and my own skin
@@Ohkeh640 No, I stopped using it on my skin after finding out it caused a third of my hair to fall out years ago. I was using it on my skin and hair at the same time. If it caused extreme hair loss due to clogged follicles, I can only imagine what it was doing to my face. I just use Dial Antibacterial bar soap. I wash my face with it, then use a white wet wash cloth to remove dead skin. I wash my face again with the bar soap. I let my face air dry and apply 100% Aloe Vera from the plant or OGX Extra Creamy + Coconut Miracle Oil Ultra Moisture Body Lotion afterwards. It doesn't contain silicone, makes the skin so smooth and soft, and doesn't cause acne. Try to eat a diet rich in plant foods.. veggies, fruit, legumes, and whole grains too.
I tried this because you recommended it & I’ve never broken out so badly in my life to the point it took over 3 months of me trying to get my skin back to normal. I’m not hating on you - just saying this is something I’m not exaggerating & it is definitely not for everyone’s skin.
I use dr bronners tea tree Castille soap to clean my makeup brushes, but I don't use it for my skin. I have very dry skin though so most likely not for me.
Hey Jen, Try using the baby unscented or almond soaps and use less of the product. Many people don't know that the baby unscented line has twice the amount of olive oil to make it extra gentle and the almond oil is especially moisturizing and nourishing. Also the liquid soaps are really concentrated so you only need literally 5 or so drops :) Hope this helps!
I am curious why you would ever leave a cleanser or soap on your face without washing it off? Just curious? And also,I have always thought that leaving the products that I put on my face at night for the whole next day could be causing problems. Like products break down after time and I'm guessing they would start clogging the pores so it just always made sense to me to wash them off and reapply. I barely wash my face in the a.m because my makeup was washed off the night before, but I still don't like to leave those products on for so long either... just my thinking..
So now that it's been a few years, how has the dr bronners been working out for you? I used to use it and my acne prone skin LOVED IT but people on the skincare subreddit advised me not to because after a while it'll mess up your skin. It scared me and I switched to CeraVe and I now have all my breakouts again. It's frustrating as hell because I had clear skin for the first time since I was a kid and I just wanna go back haha.
you can keep using dr bronners! just dont use it too often as it can damage your acid mantle (maybe use it once every 1-2 days) and you dont need to use a lot of product because it is highly concentrated.
Hi! I have been using dr bronners for probably 6 years now, and havent turned back. I also dilute it quite a bit and use a foaming soap pump to dispense. I have dry/combo skin and it has not caused me breakouts.
I use to use it religiously and quit for a while because I ran out of the bottle I had and just hadn’t had time to pick any back up. After a while I had forgotten about it and had just been using other cleansers for sensitive skin. I have really sensitive, dry, acne prone skin. My skin started looking TERRIBLE a little while after I stopped using it. I was struggling with breakouts all over my face. Other cleansers were just irritating it and making it worse... even though they were geared towards “sensitive” skin. My skin doesn’t tolerate a lot of things very well. I had painful cystic spots, breakouts and texture, and little bumps and breakouts all over my forehead... it was a mess! I bought a bottle of the baby (unscented) Dr. Bronners at the beginning of this whole pandemic so I could make my own hand soap at home for me and my husband and kids. Recently I decided to start using it again because I was so fed up with how bad my skin was looking. Since I’ve started using it again, my skin has cleared up and improved dramatically! I still have a few breakouts, but NOTHING like before. My forehead is back to being completely smooth. I don’t have a bunch of crazy texture on my face... it’s really made me so mind boggled as to why I ever stopped using it in the first place! 🤷🏻♀️ I only do it at night because my skin is sensitive and I don’t like washing my face twice a day! I swear by it, but skincare is so personable. You’d really just have to try it out for yourself to see if you like it. And hey... if you don’t, you could always use it for hand soap, laundry, dish soap, body wash... etc. etc. 🙂
I use the unscented baby one and it works really well, what I did notice is this one has coconut oil in it still too along with the hemp oil and others but I love that the ingredients are listed right on the front of the bottle.
I've been putting coconut oil on my face Day and night and within a month most of my acne scars ( hyper pigmentation ) was gone and it does not break me out.
Hi Cassandra, I immediately bought that dr. Bronner's Castile Tea tree soap right after seeing your video Top 10 Acne Products... I was thrilled to try it, because my previous soap doesn't seem helping to cure my acne (hormonal acne). I also have been using jojoba oil for 3 years as make up remover and moisturizer, my skin really loves it, the only oil that suitable for this oily acne prone skin (have tried grape seed oil, tamanu oil, rosehip oil, argan oil, coconut oil, they're causing clogs on my skin). That's why I trust your recommendation for this castile soap, because you love jojoba oil as well LoL. Now I've been using the soap for 2 days, and I feel my skin is clearer than before. Love it. Thanks God this dr. bronner's soaps are officially available in my country (Indonesia). Thank you very much!
The potassium hydroxide in this gave me a skin reaction. Immediately after using this I felt a burning sensation all over my face! I’m praying it doesn’t leave me any dark spots or discoloration 😩
I have perioral dermatitis. I use dr. Bronners baby hemp and jojoba oil for moisturizer. It is the only thing that clears my skin and brings the stinging pain down and calm the redness tremendously.
Love this video! I have been using Dr Bronners Castille Soap for a couple of years now along with coconut oil as a moisturizer. I feel that this is an extremely natural method and it works wonders. I also use a clay mask once a week can help clear black heads (you can use aloe vera too). Its almost like a refreshment for your skin.
I tried every face wash for my acne and they are all garbage NOW only because I tried the DrBroner only because I saw your video about how you cleared your skin. I was looking it up on amazon but I found it even sooner at my shoprite while grocery shopping! Ever since then I only use DrBroner the tea tree one and peppermint one. I would like to thank you for helping us! I was struggling with acne and this helped ALOT! I recommend to who ever is reading this try DrBroner! Thank you Cassandra!
Cassandra, I love your videos so so much! I am so excited to see how clear your skin has become over time and I have personally tried some of your tips and tricks to find they work too! I would love for you to film a video on your skincare routine now as I am struggling to understand how I would go about washing my face only once a day, especially on days I wear makeup etc. Look forward to seeing more from you! Adore your passion and knowledge
I am so glad I found this video! I’ve been watching your videos for the past few weeks and I feel much more educated on my acne prone skin!!! I just started using this soap yesterday and this morning my breakouts were really noticeable smaller. I washed my face again tonight but the whole time I was thinking I really wish I knew your opinion on it for acne prone skin and then I stumbled upon this video!! I will keep using it and see how my skin reacts to it but so far no redness or irritation!
I meant to comment on here when you first posted this, but I was in a hurry. But guys, i’ve been using Dr Bronners since I watched your video on how you got rid of your acne few months ago. I ordered it right away, and i’ve been using it ever since. Its AMAZING. I randomly started getting cheek acne about this time last year and my skin got so bad. It really sucked because it happened out of no where. But ever since I started using this soap and using natural oils my face has gotten sooooo much better!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the one with the blue label because that was the one you showed in that video but i’ll be ordering the orange one as soon as it’s done!! It takes off makeup so easily I love it so much. And I also only wash my face once a day and apply oils afterwards. I don’t use it or wash my face on day which I don’t wear any makeup. But seriously this has helped me so much it literally get excited to come home and wash off my makeup and apply my oils.
That is very useful. I use a strong glycolic acid product daily, plus a diy unbuffered ascorbic acid solution a different time of the day. My skin is probably quite acid. Maybe the Dr. Bronners might actually be a good choice for me. 🤔
My sister age 14 and I, age 27, both started using this. We live in the country with lots of dirt, pets, and in an old house that has very hard well water. We also wear makeup. So our faces get very dirty! We have very bad acne on our faces and shoulders and I have Crohn's disease which doesn't help the acne haha. After using this for some time I've noticed our skin has gotten better. Personally I think it just does an amazing job at stripping all of the nasty stuff off of my skin. It hasn't cleared my skin up completely but I do notice a big difference and because it cleans my skin so well I believe it has helped my other skin care products penetrate my skin better and those now work better. I was concerned about the coconut oil breaking me out but since I remove the whole product and use other things over it it hasn't had a negative affect. We also have food allergies which breaks us out and when we eat better our skin does better. :) thanks for telling us about this product! It even does a great job cleaning my dog! Haha
Coconut oil was something I was leery about in this and as someone else said, the process it goes through to be put I'm the soap I think has made my skin be able to deal with the soap. I hope people research this.
As a soap maker I can speak to saponified coconut oil in soap making. Coconut oil has the best cleaning/surfactant and lathering properties when used in soap making. It has been preferred since palm oil, which does the same thing, is not the most sustainable. However coconut oil used alone can be harsh and drying to the skin. This is why it is accompanied by other oils in the formula and only used at a certain percentage. this is why you have a great clean feeling with out feeling striped. Hope that helped.
I’ve been using this for a week now and it’s doing wonders! I struggled with acne when I was in my tweens then used proactive but we all know how that goes. Regular cleaners were always drying and always broke me out and honestly the smells were too strong for me. Honey worked wonders until I got pregnant and after my two girls it never worked again so I was looking for another natural alternative and I gotta say it’s doing amazing. As for coconut oil. It’s been like a holy grail for me. I use it in my own scrubs and a night time moisturizer. I never broke out using it. I love how my skin just soaks it up and it never feels oily. So since Castile soap is very cleansing after I rinse it off I use my own coconut oil mix with some essential oils as a moisturizer while my face is wet and this combo is probably the best thing I’ve found that works for me. Thankyou for you knowledge and sharing with us 💕
Just started to use Castile soap as a shaving cream and also a face wash before moisturizer...you got to Dilute it,it's concentrated. Your skin.looks clear..P.s and yes Sulfates in traditional cleansers are Highly irritating..Luv Dr.Bronners Castile soap, the Almond version is what I got
Dr Bronners soap relieves and repairs my eczema flare ups. Just started using Dr B as a face wash since my Elemis ran out and it seems to also be similar to the Castile soap composition.
I know this is an older video but I’ve had acne for so long. Using this soap really helped - until we had to start wearing masks when I went back to work two weeks ago and I now have “maskne” 😞 is there something I can do to clean my skin under the mask at work? I do change out my mask, but I have to wear one 8-10 hours a day.
I wasn’t ready to post this comment as I wanted to keep testing.. however since made the first video about this, I dropped all my skin care products with that hair products also. I have psoriasis on my scalp and face I’ve noticed every time I break out, that breakout becomes a patch of psoriasis. I started washing my face in the morning with doc Bronners Castile soap the hemp with mint. Then using jojoba oil from as you, not the same brand I use (dessert Essence) not sure if I got the name right. I noticed you face started to clear, my biggest issues is a breakout becoming a psoriasis patch. Anyways I haven’t broken out as I used too ( really bad breakouts) now I’ve only broken out once in my neck I believe it’s hormonal (time of the month) do not only is my face no longer breaking out but the psoriasis is clearing on my face. So what I do ? I started using Castile soap as my shampoo since my scalp psoriasis is really bad, let me tell you my scalp psoriasis isn’t gone but my god it’s clearing up and it’s less dry/itchy... my hair looks gross as the soap is very oily and i haven’t figured out a good conditioner to breakdown the soap on my hairs. Conclusion my face acne is gone, I’m psoriasis is clearing up only bad side effect is i have super dark long hair and it looks super oily and dead, but my scalp is clearing up psoriasis and scalp breakouts. I’ve been following you for a long time since your days with dermablend makeup, I just wanted to say Thank You! I’ve been to many dermatologist in my 15 years of dealing with breakouts and psoriasis and just a simple change is already doing sooo much ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Erika Moreno I have similar situation to you with acne and eczema for about 15 years as well. Could u tell me how you used the soap? How much and how often? Thank you!!
jjgal92 I just shower at night use very little soap on my scalp I don’t keep it on longer then 1 min, then I wash it off. Same for my face I apply very little on my palms rub it on and then apply to my face and wash off immediately then I apply Jojoba oil to my face and body. I only shower at night and I do make sure my hair is dry before i sleep, and I was my face in the morning then apply jojoba. Best luck I know the feeling hun
A good way to break down the soap on your hair is doing a rinse at the end of your shower with apple cider vinegar diluted 50/50 with water! It also is super good for your hair and scalp
Hey Erika! So glad this is working for your acne and psoriasis! The soap as she mentioned in the video is very basic and our hair likes to be more neutral so you'll need an acidic rinse to balance it out. Dr. Bronners has raise rinse concentrate (dilute dilute!) for sale or you can just use diluted apple cider vinegar to rinse your hair. It will take about 2 weeks or so for your scalp to adjust to a natural hair care routine but with great results in the long run. When I switched to their hair routine, my true texture came out. I no longer had limp, flat hair, it is super wavy and lots of volume! Hope this helps!
I first got introduced to Dr.Bronner's when my husband and I were still dating and we have been together for 17 years! Our favorite out of the whole line is the Peppermint Soap,I use it for my body as a wash or as a soak.I also have used it to hand wash my clothes in between laundry days. It is an all around excellent product in my book.
I’ve always been cautious of using coconut oil to remove make up for fear of it breaking me out. My skin is just like yours, so sensitive to anything i put on it. Coconut oil breaks down makeup SO WELL though and i’ve always wanted to know if it would cause breakouts so yes i’d love to see a video on coconut oil!!!
Please do a skin care routine as well as the coconut oil informative vid. Currently using a coconut oil and tea tree oil mix as an oil cleansing method. So hearing the good and bad of coconut oil would be very informative. Love your vids.
My skin is an acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. I will tell what has worked for me in controlling it. I ate less sugar and prepared at my own house with healthy foods. I also consumed nut varieties, seed varieties, and fresh coconut to stay cool. I tried to stay relaxed and not worry excessively. I used sunscreen and cleaned my face twice with litleeextra riceberyy face wash. I replaced my pillowcase every other day. I always put up my hair and had plenty of water. I avoided contacting my face too much. I followed my routine without skipping a day.
I have been using riceberry face wash now and it's my first time giving a review on this. I must say it's just created for my skin. My own skin is neutral and my own mother's dry, and this face wash is excellent for all skin types. It is the best cleansing face wash for dry skin, plus after cleaning your skin will have a glowing effect. For me, it's an amazing face wash, now I have that natural skin brightness, and it helps to enhance the face lightening.
yes please do a skincare routine and walk us through it. we always love to see your success. it helps us as well. but please also include blackhead removal techniques. Thank you
I’ve cleaned my face with Dove Soap for years. I have also used the Clinique Bar Soap. I think that Soap is a great cleanser for the skin. I have dry sensitive skin but I find that soap works best.
I have been using that on my face too now for a month now and I am still broking out. Been using the same products as you but so far haven't seen any difference.
Thanks for sharing- has your skin changed at all? Do keep in mind it takes about 28 days for your skin to fully renew. And all skin/acne is different, perhaps another product would suit your skin type better- or have you looked into alternative reasons for acne? Perhaps stress? Environmental toxins or allergies you may have? Diet or food sensitivities? I hope this info helps!
I was just going to say the same. I've been using the products for a whole month and a half. I went back to my old regimen and my skin is better. I never used any harsh products on my skin so my skin is not as bad as some other peoples but it was not like I wanted it. Doing her regimen made my skin worse.
I am so eager to try this! Is there something I should not use this with? I usually cleanse my face with a cleansing oil and then cleansing foam. Should I follow with either of those to wash this off? Or do I use water and follow with an acid, like the Glycolic Acid by TO? Thank you!
When using this soap, You NEED to dilute. Otherwise it's far too concentrated. I've been using this stuff for years by mixing it with some essential oils and stuff. It works so well and I don't get any dryness at all.
Some of us live in areas with bad water. Castille soap isn't always the answer because of the PH balance. Where I live, Dr Bronner's soap doesn't become soapy.
you said changes in walnut creek and I freaked out because I live 5 minutes from there! I forgot you were from the bay area! I have been using dr. bronner’s since you recommended it, and my skin is doing really well too! i’m glad you made this video so I could get more info on it!
So much useful, honest information in your videos. Thank you so much for staying true and giving genuine info that truly helps everyone! ❤️ love this channel!
I do the same. It helps a lot with acne scarring(and stings any active breakouts, but the stinging is brief and it helps get rid of the acne faster). I use a higher concentration of apple cider vinegar. 1:1 vinegar and water and about 8 drops(though probably more) of tea tree oil.
One thing about coconut oil!!! So most people avoid it because of oleic acid content, however it has lauric acid which is extremely anitmicrobial/antibacterial. I've been too scared to try it myself, but that could be why so many people have success with it!
Thanks for this. Love your channel. New-ish subbie and I've spent WEEKS - no, LITERALLY - weeks bingewatching your videos. Love that hair whip and just jealous that thanks to cervical spine damage I can't do that hair whip no more goddamit. Well that and menopausal hair loss but we won't talk about that. Love your advice. So hard to find youtubers talking about skincare who have actually done research behind it. Your playlist on the ordinary products stopped me from making a HUGE mistake that my skin WOULD NOT have liked. I've just recently discovered them too - and hence you! So glad of both discoveries.
I just purchased this soap so I haven't had time to test it. Cetaphil really cleared my skin. I absolutely love it. Also I went from washing twice a day to once a day too and my skin is amazing now. Only small hormonal acne aound that time of the money
Hey Cassie, I wanted to ask you a question. My 10 year old son has been getting pimples in his hairline and on his forehead, do you believe this is a shampoo allergy? I was thinking of switching his shampoo to a non fragranced one like Neutrogena t gel .He doesn’t have pimples anywhere else and I can’t use anything sulfur based on his skin because he’s allergic to sulfur.thanks so much!!😃
For all the people talking about coconut oil and how your skin generally doesn't like it, you're right coconut oil is a pore clogging oil, so leaving it on your skin harbors clogging and bacteria causing breakouts. However , I use the tea tree castille soap and the coconut oil definitely doesn't seem to stand out or cause any problems, in fact the soap actually helps clear my acne, it's very antibacterial so it eliminates bacteria prohibiting breakouts.
i have been watching your videos for more than a month now. thank you for educating me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 i have learned so much!! you have convinced me to get myself a pure castille soap ❤️ i am also curious what you think about the aleppo soap. i have been using it for years for my face, body, and hair and it is has been working great. but i am just wondering what your thoughts on aleppo soap are :).
Thanks for your video. Do you have any recommendations of textbooks or websites that are informative on the science of skin care? Your videos and pictures are always informative, so that has inspired me to want to learn more. Thanks!
Have you ever heard of Indian healing clay? It’s 100% natural calcium bentonite clay. I was wondering if this is good or bad for acne? I am afraid to use it without knowing
I in the last two weeks have started using this and have seen amazing results I had a ton of acne covering my cheeks for the first time in my life (I've had moderate acne since I was 13) all this year and only now after starting this it started to clear not 100% but much much better to where I only have about 4-5 pimples on my face
. It really works at first I was very concerned because of the coconut oil in it but then I searched with my wonderful Google-Fu and found out about the processes "Saponification",
that changes the chemicals in the oils,I believe they are hydrolyzed then they are reformed to make soap!(honestly it was very fascinating I wish I had been learning this is highschool would have made me pay closer attention!XD) the only thing I've been very conscious of is it's rather drying (especially because of the colder weather) so for anyone with dry skin be sure to moisturize :)
Now I just need help with scarring and my residual redness from old break outs
This was a great video Cassandra ! Keep being you, Awesome Lady :)👍🏻
Angelicsailor best way to get rid of scars from acne is aloe mask. Use gel straight from the aloe
Angelicsailor please dilute in water 1:10
Angelicsailor so would you say this works for oily acne prone skin?
Gyro Zeppeli
when did it start working?? Been using it for a couple days and still am breaking out 😭
I have been using Dr.
I use unscented kind on My face and also to remove makeup like foundation! Very gentle but I think tap water is terrible for our skin
@@naomibelette I don't dilute mine but I do use unscented kind
Do you use it also on your eye makeup?
Which one is that Victoria
The scenery in this video is beautiful.
And yes please do a skincare routine and show us how you use the products.
yesssss!
Baiba Saybe Kukute yes please ♥️
Heather Scott hey, how is it going? Are you still using it? Would you recommend it?
Try the bar soap...works even better
Nope this soap is way too strong
Love your name. My grandma's name is zada
I went from extra stregth proactive to just generic baby soap and my skin is so clear.
I don’t have any real reason for this happening but that’s how it works for me
Anastasia Edwards coconut oil is pretty comedogenic! Thats probably why its breaking you out on its own.
Hi Cassandra! Thank you for your videos! Do you dilute the dr Browner?
Started using this and it's AMAZING!My skin cleared up completely!
I’ve watched your videos forever and looking back at this video you have literally saved my life in curing my cystic acne. You’re so thorough and helped me learn about products and my own skin
I just bought this today and I hope it works .. thank you and I think you’re just the happiest person alive .. I love your energy !
I love it on my skin! It's odd, but it makes you look younger somehow. The skin is so smooth and shrinks the pores.
Do you still use it
@@Ohkeh640 No, I stopped using it on my skin after finding out it caused a third of my hair to fall out years ago.
Castile soap pulls toxins from underneath your skin and brings it to the surface. It's a detox period. Keep using it.
Can you do a video on apple cider vinegar pleaser?
You saved my skin. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!! now im acne free!!!!!!!
Go back!
And hey... if you don’t, you could always use it for hand soap, laundry, dish soap, body wash... etc. etc. 🙂
@@k.hebert hi, could you please tell me, are you using this baby sugar soap unscented or baby castille soap? Thanks :)
Does the tea tree castile soap help with scar, hyperpigmentation and blemishes??
i use the peppermint dr. bronner and it is my favorite!
I use the unscented baby one and it works really well, what I did notice is this one has coconut oil in it still too along with the hemp oil and others but I love that the ingredients are listed right on the front of the bottle.
Started using this baby castile for a couple of weeks now. Like the smell and the cleans soft way it leaves my skin.
Hey Cassandra! Do you use the soap just like that, or do you dilute it in a separate bottle with water?
Cassandra, I love your videos so so much! I am so excited to see how clear your skin has become over time and I have personally tried some of your tips and tricks to find they work too! I would love for you to film a video on your skincare routine now as I am struggling to understand how I would go about washing my face only once a day, especially on days I wear makeup etc. Look forward to seeing more from you! Adore your passion and knowledge
I would love the see a video with your full skincare routine morning and night. I will give this a try. Thank you!
Thank you Cassandra!!
That is very useful. I use a strong glycolic acid product daily, plus a diy unbuffered ascorbic acid solution a different time of the day. My skin is probably quite acid. Maybe the Dr. Bronners might actually be a good choice for me. 🤔
three days in from using this soap and so far so good! surprised it didn't break me out. thanks to this video!
How did you test the ph of your skin? I thought litmus tests could only be used in liquids!
Haha
I saw a squirrel running behind you! Awwwwww love nature! Great Great video, am going to buy this soap tomorrow!
I also found that if I rub a little bit of castor oil on my skin before I use Castile bar soap removes makeup like a dream.
What’s the best way to dilute it ?
Dr Bronners soap relieves and repairs my eczema flare ups. Just started using Dr B as a face wash since my Elemis ran out and it seems to also be similar to the Castile soap composition.
HI Cassandra, I have a question for you: what are your views on using apple cidar vinegar as a toner?
dont
Hi love ur videos... Which variant is best for sensitive oily acne skin? Thanksnin advance...
Black African Soap is also good for eczema and psoriasis.
Amy Blakewood I like to hand wash my silk pilllowcases once a week but I’m worried about damaging silk, have you ever tried it on silk?
I’ve always been cautious of using coconut oil to remove make up for fear of it breaking me out. My skin is just like yours, so sensitive to anything i put on it. Coconut oil breaks down makeup SO WELL though and i’ve always wanted to know if it would cause breakouts so yes i’d love to see a video on coconut oil!!!
Please do a skin care routine as well as the coconut oil informative vid. Currently using a coconut oil and tea tree oil mix as an oil cleansing method. So hearing the good and bad of coconut oil would be very informative. Love your vids.
I just purchased the Dr Bronner peppermint soap, Can’t wait to try it 😃
My skin is an acne-prone skin and sensitive skin.
Following two months of consistent use, my dark spots are much lighter thanks to rice berry face wash and its vitamin C face serum.
Are you still using Dr Bronners as a cleanser / makeup remover and is it still working for you?
yes please do a skincare routine and walk us through it. we always love to see your success. it helps us as well. but please also include blackhead removal techniques. Thank you
How do u test the ph of ur skin??
I’ve cleaned my face with Dove Soap for years. I have also used the Clinique Bar Soap. I think that Soap is a great cleanser for the skin. I have dry sensitive skin but I find that soap works best.
Is this product good for lessening itchy skin??😊
Hehe the squirrel at 5:29 ! And great video, as always
What do you think about Aleppo Soap, that consists of laurel and olive oils?
Cassandra, what are your thoughts on lush cleansers?
Cassandra what do you think about the Oil cleansing method?
I have been using that on my face too now for a month now and I am still broking out. Been using the same products as you but so far haven't seen any difference.
Baiba Saybe Kukute. haven't you seen any difference at all?
So far no. I am half way done with the products already. Maybe it needs more time for me to work. Idk I just hope that it starts to clear up.
same..
Hi...I just ordered lavender how do you like it for your skin?... I wanted to use it for spring cleaning. Have you used this one...thanks
I am so eager to try this! Is there something I should not use this with? I usually cleanse my face with a cleansing oil and then cleansing foam. Should I follow with either of those to wash this off? Or do I use water and follow with an acid, like the Glycolic Acid by TO? Thank you!
Is grapeseed oil ok for my skin?
When using this soap, You NEED to dilute. Otherwise it's far too concentrated. I've been using this stuff for years by mixing it with some essential oils and stuff. It works so well and I don't get any dryness at all.
Are you still using it
Hey 👋 in 2024 😊
Can we still use it maybe as a first cleanser?
Some of us live in areas with bad water. Castille soap isn't always the answer because of the PH balance. Where I live, Dr Bronner's soap doesn't become soapy.
Wack and Snooze i heard using the dr bronner soap 'bar' works better in areas with hard water, so you can use that on your hair face or body
you said changes in walnut creek and I freaked out because I live 5 minutes from there!
What are your thoughts on using apple cider vinegar as a toner? (2 parts water mixed with 1 part vinegar)
K R I use apple cider vinegar with a couple of drops of tea tree oil
I do the same. It helps a lot with acne scarring(and stings any active breakouts, but the stinging is brief and it helps get rid of the acne faster). I use a higher concentration of apple cider vinegar. 1:1 vinegar and water and about 8 drops(though probably more) of tea tree oil.
Since it’s a fruit acid it should work as an AHA, so you can definitely use it
I switched to using just this, coconut oil and cold cream and my skin has never looked better! I recommend this product to everyone.
Awesome Kelly! Im so happy to hear! th-cam.com/video/ONvWjoB6qdc/w-d-xo.html
One thing about coconut oil!!! So most people avoid it because of oleic acid content, however it has lauric acid which is extremely anitmicrobial/antibacterial. I've been too scared to try it myself, but that could be why so many people have success with it!
Hi Cassandra. Can you do a video on dying hair and what brand to use? My grays are sprouting out of control.
Yes on the skin care routine video please and thank yooouu!
Do you dilute the soap before you use it?
What an interesting and educational video! Thanks for the facts.
Dr Bronners is helping my acne rosacea tremendously! I am using the baby unscented and be :)
Cassandra how much do u use on your face?
Would 2 drops be sufficient?
Thanks
Is the peppermint one good to use?
I just purchased this soap so I haven't had time to test it. Cetaphil really cleared my skin. I absolutely love it. Also I went from washing twice a day to once a day too and my skin is amazing now. Only small hormonal acne aound that time of the money
Can you put a drop of this in your regular cleanser?
Hey Cassie, I wanted to ask you a question. My 10 year old son has been getting pimples in his hairline and on his forehead, do you believe this is a shampoo allergy? I was thinking of switching his shampoo to a non fragranced one like Neutrogena t gel .He doesn’t have pimples anywhere else and I can’t use anything sulfur based on his skin because he’s allergic to sulfur.thanks so much!!😃
Can you please do a video showing us how, which ones (order, etc) and when you use your skincare.
Nichole Service it cleans your pores in theory it should be good. It worked nicely for me
its nice for short term results but can rlly dry the skin out and cause your skin to produce excess oil because of the drying out.
What do you think about aleppo soap(consists of laurel oil and olive oil)?
She is right coconut oil is the most comedogenic oil also please wear sunscreen
