    Omg I'm trying to go to Excelsior too what are the odds I landed on this post. Even more excited now. I have so much credit from my BSN I dropped out of. Hopefully I can be done in 1 yr fingers crossed

      Do not do excelsior. They are not accredited. Go to a regular college

      Yeeii!! I’m glad!! Are you in CT?? You can always look for schools in your area and check out ratings and references. But keep in mind that you play a big part in it working out or not! You got this!! ❤️

      How long does it take to be a rn from lpn . Is it a year or 2

    I tried so hard to get over 62 on teas to get into RN program and I got 61 . Do you think it is a good idea to just do LPN to RN?

    • @NurseLaly
      @NurseLaly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I took my teas like 5 times. I do think Lpn to rn is a good route.

    I have been told that getting into the RN program is HIGHLY competitive! Do you think it is easier, not to complete the program itself, but to get accepted into the LPN program?

    • @NurseLaly
      @NurseLaly  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is competitive. I liked the route that I took getting my Lpn first and then my rn but it all depends on the person. Good luck to you, you got this regardless of what decision you make!! ❤️

    hey there, thanks for this info. Was Excelsior a decent school to do a bridge? what was your experience like with them? Heard a lot of mixed reviews

    • @NurseLaly
      @NurseLaly  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a good experience there but I have also heard a lot of negative comments about it so it’s up to you to decide. It was a good choice for me.

    Hi I just found your channel and am thinking the LPN route is for me. Do you have kids? Any advice for getting through an LPN program while also being a mom? Studying tips? Thank you!

    • @NurseLaly
      @NurseLaly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s awesome!! Yes I have kids I even became pregnant during the program 😩😅 I don’t recommend it but my point is that yes it can be done even if you have kids or pregnant! 😊 I have a video that talks about nursing school while being a mom! I’ll link it below! 😊 congrats on your decision and good luck you got this!! ❤️

      Hi 👋 I have a 17 month old that I had during school. My honest advice is wake up at 4am to study and do homework. Staying up late is harder. I passed my NCLEX & have been working as a scrub nurse in plastic surgery for 3 months. Keep pushing mama!!

    • @NurseLaly
      @NurseLaly  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Different people have different opinions it all depends on how committed to nursing one is, how long you want to wait before you start to work in healthcare, and other points…

    I did my LVN in a private school, I wonder if the credits are transferrable at all??

    • @NurseLaly
      @NurseLaly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not totally sure but I think they should. I did mines at a technical school and they were able to use the credits towards my RN. Good luck to you!! 😊✨✨
