Im seeing a peladn HA-4 7840HS that's on sale for $350 after the coupon. Is there a reason that this gmtek would be a better option? I find it strange that the prices for these mini pc's is wildly different for the same specs on different brands. Makes me scared to pull the trigger. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I can't comment on minis I haven't reviewed, but the differences often come down to the feature set, cooling, performance and noise levels. And some are just really good deals.
@@Robtech thanks for the reply! Is there one in the sub $400 that you would recommend above all else for gaming? I know there're a lot of variables to consider that are unique for each person. I guess more than anything I want one that is going to work and not need to be returned or troubleshooted too much. 😅 Thanks again for your time. Love your vids brother!
I am confused with the chart at 12:22. Why is the Herk Orion1 highlighted and where is the M7 Mini? Is it there and I can't see it? Regardless, this system appears to be a winner IMO though I would prefer better temps for the CPU. Thanks for the review.
What do you think is the best 8 core mini that can sustain high clocks on all core loads? I’d like a CPU-server type of setup where I want to send jobs to it and it constantly runs full speed to do processing. It’s hard to tell which of these products can meaningfully stay at boosted clocks forever or not.
I'd look at one that has low temps yet has a high multicore Cinebench R23 result. That's going to boost for the longest duration as the test is an average of 3x10 minute runs consecutively with all cores and threads under load.
Hey Rob, it looks like GMKtec released K8 Plus which looks very similar to the M7 design likely to address the tiny fan also. Did they send you that unit?
Thanks. Just a free sample, not paid. They wanted a full review, but I offered a brief plug in a mini review as I thought it was a cool product but didn't warrant a full length video.
Not so much a doctor needed, but a talk from mother, old schoolteacher or a trip to a shrink. As for the PC, not bad at all but metal and poor wireless performance vs plastic and better? Tell me again abut premium, The Zike dock is good but overpriced no matter how you look at it. But prices will come down quickly for USB 4 hubs that should already be widely available. A good example of the drip drip tech for maximum profit.

Typo at 1:19 says Radeon 780M graphics. Should be 680M. Can't fix it once published. Thanks TH-cam.

The AOOSTAR GEM12 is a really nice mini PC if you can stretch that to $410 amzn.to/4ey9BrA
At 1:19 it says it has a 780M iGPU. That's supposed to be an old 680M according to the specs.
Yep typo sorry. Can't fix it. Thanks TH-cam
The power brick puts me off a bit.. waiting for usb c power delivery.

Damn another error. The M7 is two above it at 87W.
@@Robtech I don't make editing errors, but I am the worst at statistics. Poop happens.
Hello, are you also testing the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra?
I have one. I like it.

This is so great for homelab use, I just ordered a second one :D
Is it though? Wouldn’t the M5 plus be better? Lower power?
1:03 oh, no "but"? 🤣 Man you are funny

Nope. Maybe since I haven't done the M7 Pro yet 🫠

UM760 Slim maybe better at same price range?
That review coming soon
Does it run Batocera for emulation?
Yes but it's way over what you need for any emulation.
@@PiManiac Also way over for ps3 emulation?
@@Paperinjerate Tried a few PS3, no problem. it did the working Xbox 360 ones also.
@@PiManiac Great to hear. Thanx for the info.
AtomMan G7 TI review please
This looks impressive
Considering using it as a Plex server, but I hear that Intel is better...your opinion?
Intel's media engine is unbeaten for encoding/decoding video. If that's all you're using it for, I'd go with an Intel option.
Do you thibk i can manage to play league of legends on the mjni?

27. The only change I’m interested in now is for GMKtec to change their customer service department, its horrible. Don’t buy GMKTec.
I just bought one, what am I in for?

this TH-camr won't care about that, he only cares about being paid by the manufacturer. he gets the devices for free
