Not a sponsor. Didn't get paid. Sent two mini samples for review same as every other brand and was asked to do an extra video on top. I came up with this one.
Oi, this is neat! This pretty much streamlines the choice-maiking process, I'm glad to see you included two of my all-time favourites from your channels in the top, I'd like to support you by using your affiliate links! Keep it up, mate.
I hate it when companies solder memory on their boards. I'm waiting for APUs to be on par with my RX 6800 before I consider downsizing to a mini PC from a desktop
Thanks for information and the codes! I just ordered the GMKtec K8 Plus using your link. I believe it's the same as the M7 but with a better processor. It looks like there's a decent amount of room inside. Do you think the heatsink on the Nextorage NEM-PA would fit?
Nice. Reviewing that one in about a week. Hmm, looks like it should, but I don't see the height of that heatsink mentioned in the product description...
@@Robtech Thanks for the reply. I look forward to the review. The dimensions are W:23 mm × H:11.2 mm × D:80.4 mm. I'll update the comments if I try it.
Would be interesting to see the review on Mini PCs with engineering sample chips. Especially the one with Ryzen 7 8845HS ES. That would be a real niche!
Looking for a fanless N100 for a 24/7 server. If I buy one I will use your link. I already own the white Firebat from the intro with a 7735hs. Great little machine
I have N100 based mini PC and while it’s not fanless, it is completely silent unless CPU is pinged to 100%, which unfortunately happens more often than I would like. Maybe on Linux with no background tasks it would work in fanless configuration, but I would be wary to use it with Windows as this CPU may get too hot without active cooling.
Decided to take the plunge on the Ser 8 when it showed up on Ali Express today at $474.57 + a $35 off coupon. This is the full 32gb 1tb 8845 processor, not the new cheaper 8745 option. We'll see what I actually end up getting. Either way, it's a great deal, and worth risking to beat the tariffs in the US.
You can if it's just for webbrowsing, office work etc. But the 6600H is far more powerful and presents better value. But also uses more power, gets hotter and has more fan noise. I have a 6600H review coming up shortly you might want to check out.
Exactly what I was looking for to make my mind about those mini PCs. I wonder if it would be a good choice for someone who wants to do some light video editing?
I'm thinking about getting one of those tiny asf mini PCs from GMKtec but there doesn't seem to be a definite and straight forward way to ensure you can power it with a power bank, do you have any experience with that?
Depends on a couple of things. If the power bank supports 12V output then it likely can. And the mini needs to also support 12V. Some support only 19V. Best to search the model as there are people that have tested it and report their experiences on Reddit etc.
Yeah. I have two M7 (6850h/680m) and a K8 plus (8845hs/780m) just arrived today. I will make a tree node proxmox homelab cluster from them with thuderbol-p2p network ring that may be 25Gbps between them.
@@Robtech I think I get that. The Larkbox is preloaded at a better price than the T9 is pre-loaded and the LB is DDR5. That's why you said it's a good buy if you have ram and a drive on hand. If you have to go out and buy a 16GB stick and a NVME drive it's going to get costly.
Why not the Aoostar GEM12 8845 variant as number one ? Still has all the goodies of the Beelink with no downsides + Occulink ... and the price should be very similar ...
I was looking at the FIREBAT MN56 16/512 and the pricing is odd: $309.89 for the R7 7735HS (basically a 6800H) $311.78 for the R5 6600H Why is the 7735HS cheaper?
I don't trust Ali Express as I've heard of people buying electrical things on there and they weren't as advertised. They used cheaper parts of the wrong parts.
@dominicconway2761 yeah but there are so many different sellers on there and maybe you just got lucky. Like I said, I've heard many bad stories from people buying off there.
Unfortunately, the prices are barely competitive with Amazon, while Amazon easily wins on delivery, return options and warranty disputes. I hope you checked all these mini PCs for viruses - Chinese companies are known to use some really shady distros of Windows.
That's unfair. EDIT: So, seriously, why did you even say that? Even if you don't shop from Ali, I know I never have before, why making this video reduce his integrity and trustworthiness? What's the logic behind this comment? Did he lie about anything?

Glad you are getting more sponsors. Just stay neutral bro, it matters more in the long run.

I got the ser9 and it is awesome! I wish someone would do a full maintenance video on these beelinks. (complete tear down for cleaning)

please do a frigate mini PC review too i.e mini pc for running Frigate and Homeassistant.
I feel the new mac mini 2024 edition is going to blow any intel out of the water, except for the price
And it will be able to play all Windows games and programs no matter what! /s
except for the price... and it being Apple
bought and used GEM12 (r7 8845hs ver) for a month. so far no issue with games like Gundam Breaker 4.
Which strix machine do you like best so far
Only reviewed one. Next review coming within a few days. And another TBA
I wonder how your #1 pic competes with the new cheaper M4 Mac Mini?
What kind of return policy are we looking at from AliExpress incase these decide to randomly stop working?

Do you like the T9 better than the lark Box?
Yes, but not for the prebuild price

Robtech in your reviews ever come across a box pairing dual network NICs of intel(i225v or i226v) and CPU being AMD?
Yes, there's been a few. AOOSTAR's GEM12 comes to mind.
@Robtech thanks

Can you post the link? I'm assuming it's not this one s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DCSylG
I have the option to buy Ser8 barebone for 200 usd lower. Is that a better option or it’s already good parts inside?
Beelink uses Crucial memory and storage most of the time. Up to you what's cheaper or more convenient.
There are a lot of N100 options. That 12GB Chuwi is indeed an interesting option.
I have to read more about the Ryzen 6600H 🤔
My upcoming FIREBAT MN56 review features that exact CPU.
@@Robtech Mini PCs with the 6600H are a bit too loud for my taste.

Choice labelled listings are fulfilled by AliExpress. Definitely safer than buying from non-choice listings.
Heyho, is it possible to donate a little without having PayPal?
There's Super Thanks through TH-cam. Although they take a hefty 30% cut.... Buying through the shopping links if you need anything works best.
Choice Day, Singles Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday. Salesvember has started. 😅
Yep, it's all happening now
I choose scorpion.
What I need is a mini PC that can emulate PS3 perfectly and has oculink also it has to be under 500.
Barebones you can get them. Just make sure it has at least a 780M igpu and not throttling.
Unfortunately, the prices are barely competitive with Amazon, while Amazon easily wins on delivery, return options and warranty disputes. I hope you checked all these mini PCs for viruses - Chinese companies are known to use some really shady distros of Windows.
65% of my audience doesn't live in the United States. Each mini has been tested for Malware since April this year.
Missing firebat on the list
I'll never risk shopping at AliExpress.
