- Now this is one AWESOME race-couple! Perry and Ruth are no strangers to the annual Merrill Ice Drags. Hosted in Merrill, Wisconsin - where automotive enthusiasts from around the area gather to get an early start on the race season. It’s a unique opportunity that we, and I’m sure A LOT of you would love to participate in during the 4-5 months of off-season brought on by the winter weather. Thanks for showing us the ropes Perry, and thanks for making us feel right at home!

I bet all those ice racers are tweaking like hell, experimenting to get that little extra edge. Different materials in the screws, different screw lenghts, different patterns, different number of screws etc etc.. "racing secrets"... So if you're winning, you don't want to give away your "secret receipt".

719Moto Mx it definitely is. Not as much now that it’s all pavement, but still bad ass.
I am from Vermont where we do this and am in Denver for college. I think they do some ice kart racing in Colorado but at least down in Denver it isn't cold enough. Plus the issue where most bodies of water are used for drinking around here and I think they would frown upon having a car fall in that. If you find ice drags in Colorado let me know. I have been missing it.
They race on the frozen lake quite a bit in Georgetown. Really entertaining
