These tip videos have been really helpful. I have noticed that I have been flicky with my hits and they are getting easily dug. Gonna try this next time I play!
love it...i feel like if i have to "go backwards" to go fwd...its too inefficient as a low jumper. I like having the arm swing integrated with the jump and the arm is always moving forward once i'm in the air
Ive found that with a low bow & arrow it's harder to hit with max overspin and it's harder to hit sharp angles, but it's way better than high bow & arrow.
Thanks coach, I've noticed my spikes in beach and indoor have been signiciantly more consistent in clearing the net + more top spin , however minimal power easily dug. Recently been focusing on the hand draw back thumb touching shoulder (per your video), which increased my serving power! + swinging as soon as I jump. However spiking power still lackluster, hoping this is the key . Any other tips for added spiking power?
Did you watch my video on generating power low to high? If i were to guess, you're probly hitting on the way down. If you can hit on the way up, you'll generate more effortless power.
@@menehunebvb Yes, I've watched all your videos, and the power low water hose analogy. However, couple sticking points, one is finding the correct jump low to high sweet spot for maximum power. I jump just high enough to clear the net and can block over the net. As i aforementioned, I am able to consistently hit the ball over the net and minimal net errors with the low to high mechanics, but I think my low to high is arcing the ball and not generating enough down ball or forward power. I'm assuming i'm over correcting and contacting the ball at equator low to high so it's arcing? 1) When attacking 2-3 ft off the net, what is the optimal hitting low/high Vs Jumping range for spiking power. I assume the optimal contact for attacking is when I am jumping on my way up reaching the vertical apex. If i jump and make contact before i reach apex then the ball will arc more and less down ball? 2) I think you addressed this question before, even though you're talking about the low-high elbow motion, you're saying mentally i should be thinking low to high contact but physically the actual contact is back to forward at the equator for maximal forward velocity?
Honestly it's really hard to fix anything or give personal feedback unless i actually see it and can break it down. It might be worth it for you to take advantage of my video analysis. It's only $20 and that way i know i am giving you the right information. 👍🏼
Your whole series on circular arm swing have been game changing for me - I am faster, more precise and more powerful, thank you!
Glad to hear it!

@@tman984 works great once you really start to get it! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
What are your thoughts on circular versus bow and arrow as well as low drawback for float serving?

I do not recommend a low drawback for float serves. You need a flatter attack on float serve. A low drawback will lead to overspin. 👍🏼
@menehune, could you explain why forming the passing platform looks different in beach than indoor.
Sorry i didnt play indoor so i dont really know. Im pretty much self taught when it comes to volleyball.
