After 2019, many badminton fans visualized that this man Momota may surpass Lin Dan's records and become the GOAT. However, although Momota is brilliant, he has flaws. You can notice many times he lunged deep forward for SYQ drop shots, sometimes fell for his deceptions here. How often Lin Dan fell for anyone's deceptions? Or panic in his footwork even how much pressure he was on? Or Lin Dan lunging very deep forward and out of reach? Momota also lacked sudden injection of pace which LD and LCW mastered. Attack wise, Momota also was not the best. So he would more than likely surpass Chen Long and Lee Chong Wei, but I doubt he would have surpassed Lin Dan.

yes but these are things he could have worked on. There is not one person in this world who cannot improve themselves over time. Given the time, momota could have learned these things. This is why Lin Dan post 2016 was still competitive, because of his experience and the things he learned from playing pro badminton for over 15 years (at that point)

I agree, Momota still needs more practice for these flaws. But I would love to see him compete with top players at this time, especially Axelsen.
Axelsen lost many matches against Momota but it's still entertaining to watch current top players compete.

hahahaaha what kind of theories are this . every player has their own style and ability. everyone has flaws but that flaws can be covered by a great mentality. this is why lin dan is so successful not because he not fall for others deceptive shot many times hahahaaa you're so bias
