- This is a simple house build with a small area to the side for a couple of tames. this build is for those who want to build a house as a starter base, the stone could be switched out for wood if you are not high enough level for stone structures or who prefer the look of all wood.

I build houses like these in the snow biomes to add to the quaint and cozy feeling to it even thought the snow biome is dangerous and several creatures can break the material used

in the beggining where you showed off the interior you made some kind of rug underneath the bed. how did you do that?
Its called a shag rug and its from the aberration dlc
At 6:32 IM confused on how you get the snap points for the double door frames and the walls that go on top of them. whenever I do is the walls don't line up. is there a building trick I'm missing?

Why is everything always obstructed for me! I’m in a big wide open space I don’t get it!
You need to turn collision off in the settings
There are a lot of settings that can make building so much easier

Oh I meant like show the furnishing in a step by step included with the exterior build and I meant like show a shorter clip of you being done at the end instead of still kind of building when the credits role. Just imo but im a still watch like every video you put out. Love the work.

When you do the first stone pillars you place the stone fence foundation I can’t get the pillars to snap in the corner like that
You need to place a fence foundation on the corner

Thankyou. For this build you need to use ramps for the pointed part of the roof not actual roof peices and you need clipping enabled
On Cue I soon found that out and me and my friend are building a city on a primitive plus world and it would be fun if u could see it one time

in vanilla ark you have to put the pillars down before you build the walls 😉 happy building!

@@dingodrew9257 if you enable clipping it should work the way you want it to. Not sure if the pieces will snap together tho.

@@manacats they are in their own folder called stone not the structures folder
Doing this on ps4 is SUPER tricky. Everything I try to do dosen't work properly unless I play around with it for a couple of minutes. But it's still pretty cool and I really enjoy the base

Do you have any configuration when building? Because it doesn't let me build like you, it appears to me that it is clogged. ):
If your on single player then you need to turn collision on in general settings close to the bottom of the page

Is it possible to build something similar to this without clipping being enabled? Thinking about building this on official
You could either build this without the pointy roof or you could watch aaron longstaffs nordic house and do the method that he uses for the roof so its buildable on official. I apologise for the inconvenience i wasn't aware of how official worked with clipping but ive taken it into account since i know that there is alot of official players out there so alot of my other houses are able to be built on official

It's not letting me do the second part of the roof any help would be appreciated
The video doesn't show some corner pillars. At 7:25, two additional pillars appear at the wall intersections at the back of the base. Took me forever to figure out how to add those.

I can’t get the wooden walls and windows to face inward like you has them
You have to press Y or triangle on ps4 to flip the wall
On Cue yeah that wasn’t working but I figured it out. I had to put a ceiling on the outside then I could place the wall correctly and just delete the extra ceiling

I couldn't build the ramp roof for some reason. It says it's obstructed :(
You need to build the flat roofs first or just used sloped roofs
Turn off building obstruction

You need to use ramps instead of sloped roofs for the pointy part

Dude clipping has to be enabled for ALL my builds lol I don't have the patience otherwise

Why u can set the piller on the corners of the foundations?
Because i placed a fence foundation along the foundation and then snapped the pillar to the corner

For some reason the wooden triangle ceilings wouldn’t place for me
The snap points for them are broken so it can be fidley
I found out there's two triangle ceiling pieces. The triangle *ceiling* (flat horizontal) and the triangle *roof* (angled like the slopped roof variant). Not Ark's most transparent naming convention.
whenever I put the top roof on with the ramps there’s no snap points for the roof and such so I gave up on that part lol

When I'm doing the roof my roofs dont seem to want to clip they only want to clip sideways

No you can swap the materials out for whatever you want or have no pillars at all

I cannot get the pillars to attach in any of these videos cause there are walls there
If you are playing on official or official settings then place the pillars before placing the walls, otherwise go into you're setting at the main menu and then go to general settings and tick the box with structure collision
On Cue what about at 7:41 when you got the triangle roofs to go diagonal there’s no snap point for that

Because the devs don't care about ark mobile and ark mobile is handled by another dev team

For some reason I can not get the very top of the slope roof to connect am I missing something. They just won't turn to the right position. I really liked this house for the size and look. Disappointed.
Did you check that you where using ramps for the pointed part of the roof before commenting?
I like the build but found that the showcase at the start was a bit rushed. Slow down so we can appreciate it!
