Those of you students and directors checking out this video, I thought I'd let you know I just finished the 1st drafts of movements 2, 3, and 4 of the Symphony. I hope you'll enjoy them when the come out.
Randall Standridge is this supposed to be similar to IronHeart? I played that one and I recognize similar rhythms but in a much darker tone. I sincerely enjoy your style of composition.
We played this my 8th grade year, my class has chosen this to be our senior song to play at graduation as our last performance together. This song is the root of many core memories:)
Mr. Standridge, you have the honor of being my favorite composer now! I played 1 of your songs for my ATSSB Regional concert, and it was Afterburn! Great song! Keep up the food work!
I'm so excited to be playing this song! I am from LRMS and I got to meet Mr. Strandridge before MPA. When I saw it was composed by him I got so excited! Such an amazing piece! Great Job Mr. Strandridge! Keep up the good work! If you remember, I was the one who asked with my friend for your signature...
Grace Pike I met Jens Lindemen (I don't know how to spell his name) I was so cool! I got an autograph from him and he's such an inspiration as a trumpet player.
this is so heckin cool!! For my school, this year's 8th grade band doesn't get to play it, only next year's and I'm cryin bc it sounds so nice??? wow 👌👌👌👌
Stuffed Cinema , yep, actually working on it right now. "Darklands Suite" which will make up the 3 middle movements of the symphony. The whole Symphony will be: Darklands March (1.March Through the Dark Forest) Darklands Suite (2. Dance of the Mad Prince, 3. The Serpent Priest and the Black Bell, 4.The Queen's Masque) DarkHeart (5. Escape from DarkHeart Castle)
I'm very happy to say for our marching season, we will be playing your whole Angels and Demons show!! I was wanting to play this, Mellophone on both of these sound very fun!! I can't wait!
I played this song back in 8th grade, and i loved it, now it's the 10th 2 years later and for our big four day concert we get to play Iron and Ice: A Vikings Adventure for Christmas. I love it and I am so happy that I haven't quit the band yet. And being the bass Clarinet of the band is so great.
I’d be really surprised if you see this Randall, but this piece truly is amazing. I find it so amazing that you put so much emotion into your pieces and I wanted to tell you that you really made so many people’s band experiences, including myself.
I agree, I’m playing this for our spring concert, and my partners have absolutely fallen in love with it. Mr. Standridge, my school band has played some of your songs like Blue Sky Horizon. It was a pleasure playing and I think my band fell in love with that one too. Though to say, it was quite hard for a bunch of 7th graders.
I had the pleasure of playing the timpani part of this in 8th grade, which was great cuz I got to play real loud. The way we played it was slightly different in that I was the loudest part of the band, catching the attention of the crowd.
If you are the real Randall Standridge, I love your music! It's so inspiring to me and I listen to it alot. Personally Ithink Dark Ride is my favorite peice youve so far and youre just amazing, I hapoe you see this.
We'replaying this song in band for a concert the week we get back from christmas break (I play snare), but I left my sheet music at school, and my teacher hasn't emailed me my music, so when we get back I have 3 days to learn this song fully
on my concert at the last bit of the song, maybe like the last 7 bars of the song, my band director knocked over the whole stand it was kinda funny and ironic and kinda awesome ending
I am currently in a band and we are going to be playing this for our spring concert and I love this song out of all of the other songs we have learned and I love the clairinet part I'm so happy to play that part!!!
My school is learning this after falling in love with Darklands March
The Boredom Cure I know same here, in my opinion it's very hard to play... It sounds really cool though!!
Darklands march is a lot better than this one, in my opinion, but this is still a favourite in our band.
Us too.
Mr.Standridge actually came to our school!
