- George Jones performs "She's My Rock" live at the Farm Aid concert in Champaign, Illinois on September 22, 1985. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?
Greatest country singer of all time, lived like an outlaw too. Long live Noshow Jones
I used ride shotgun with my dad motoring down the road in his 64 Impala listening to GJ on the ol 8 track stereo!! Now that's old school!! Baby!!
Nothing like a 1964 Chevy Impala in high gear!!!
same for me except it was either a 68 RS Camaro or his 67 short bed c-10
there is nothing at this level being played today.
+Real Country Music Albums well, I suppose I was excluding Merle
Absolutely still not happening 10 years later!!
And there's a pickle in a middle and a mustard on top.
george was the best country singer ever.
George Jones was one of the greats but Conway Twitty I believe was the greatest country singer ever.
Rodney Armstrong George Strait!
George Strait#1 jones#2
No this guy is right. You guys are talking about best artist not greatest singer. Either way Hank Sr. Was the greatest artist and there's really no debate on that. But George is still up there with the greatest artists. Turn off the radio boys. You might find the best music you've ever heard.
So I'm years late but either way I would say that George is a god without a doubt he might be the best singer . Jimmie Rodgers and Earnest Tubb would be his big contesters. Also Lefty Frizel. Idk if I could call Lefty the best. He was a great but not original.
Nobody today is filling their shoe's !!!!. Thank God its all recorded.
George is enjoying this song.. in contact with his audience... brilliant...
Yup he had a good vibe with his fans!

One of Country musics best.
Love this song
George points to his ears telling the sound man "I can't hear myself"!!!! It's hard to sing when you can't hear yourself. He does this a lot in this series of Farm Aid videos. He still sounded great tho.
Carl Rocco wow! Didn’t know that’s what it was
The sound was awful all around this gig. Glen Campbell and many others couldn’t hear themselves. Some guitars couldn’t even be heard due to technical issues. This gig was a mess
Oh George knocked it outta the park when with audio problems. Mark of a true professional. He's sorely missed. RIP Mr Jones
Yeah he looks at his lead guitarist and he kinda listens to his earpiece too. Then looks at George and kinda shakes his head. Like nope no audio!
