Once you said it, I could hear it! My daughter “borrowed” my G&R shirt a few years ago. She never returned it!! I’m 62 and she is 26. I guess it was time I passed it on to a new generation!!
Okay I must explain my confusion. Years ago on MTV, there was a show called Headbangers Ball. The show was for hard rock and metal. The head banger reference was for up and down head movement to the insane tempo of the music and homage to long hair. Bands like Metallica and Skid row were most notable. So when you young folk say… “that was a banger” after listening to John Denver…. I’m really confused. A banger to us is what you just listened to. And it was a proud moment when you actually head banged during this reaction. It’s the rapid beat that sends a shock wave up your spine to your neck. It’s like an uncontrollable impulse. Fun to watch. Thanks.
Do the fans a real favor and react to "Guns N Roses - Rocket Queen (Live at The Ritz 1988) (HD Remastered) (1080p 60fps)" - crazy days with skinny OG GNR.
My fondest memory of GNR ... I had a carload of visitors from Mexico and "I used to Love Her" came up in my playlist. After getting over my initial embarrassment I realized every one of them was singing along ... and they knew all the words!
Grace is given. I've messed up my share of lyrics and such and I'm 53! Still finding some even now that I messed up. Love your videos! Found you a few months back and have been enjoying your musical discovery journey. Congrats on your new daughter!
The concert footage where you said 'all the people' was filmed at Donington monsters of rock festival. I was there. Two guys got crushed to death whilst they were playing that set.
Sorry to hear that. In yr 2000 I was at Roskilde Festival where 8 young men died the same way in the crowd of a Pearl Jam concert, and another later passed in the hospital. May they rest in peace.
Love your reactions when you laugh at yourself. It’s refreshing to see someone not take things so seriously and just be genuine and open! You’re the best!
I love how you are owning up to this, even though it's funny, we all had miss heard lyrics back-in-the-day. You get a pass, I hear it now. I'm only singing "Very Last City" from now on!😆 On Jimmi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" he has a line that says "Excuse me, while I kiss the sky!"...but many heard "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy!" It can happen to anyone. There are even books about miss-hearing lyrics. Nice tutorial on using "in ears" and/or "wedges". Some of my fave reactions of yours are the revisited ones, glad you did this! 40!
We all do it lol ... "Hold me closer Tony Danza" is one of my favourite mis-heard lyrics 😂 ... and now i'm hearing 'take me down to the very last city' 🤦♀️ ... thanks for the earworm 😂😂😂
OMG When the song speeds up toward the end... your reaction was so dang delightful. I was waiting to see and boy you did not disappoint. 😂 You are so frakkin dopamine addicting! So hard to walk away from binging your reactions. 😅 It's so fun to see your perspective, especially as a lyricist. I wish your comments were live so you could get instant answers. You are fire. Hey Pegasus, I'm a babyboomer and love most of your reactions. It's nice to see the younger generations getting to know the jams of the 60s and 70's, heck even the 80's had some great music. But the music has changed a lot since then, technology stepped in and took over. Back when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's you only made it as a singer if you had the voice talent with just a microphone. I'm not saying that singers nowadays don't have great voices, the music was just different back then. I'm happy that you are listening to and liking what you are hearing. Back then we didn't have cable t.v., only a few channels using an antenna and rabbit ears. We had record players and vinyl, 8 track, portable radio's. Most on the radio was Classic rock, country, soft rock and we could only pick up a few stations, it was all we knew and listened to. We didn't look at color, we just loved the music. Remember, we only had a few t.v. channels and didn't see what they looked like unless it was an album cover or went to a concert. Or they appeared on a weekly t.v. show like Ed Sullivan or American Band Stand and Soul Train. But, anyways thank you for bringing back the Babyboomers Classic music back to life. But really, you have to admit that you like it." The Eagle's" is a great rabbit hole to keep going down, too many hits. Desperado, New Kid in Town, Tequila Sun Rise, Take To The Limit, Lying Eyes, Life in the Fast Lane, Witchy Woman, Take it Easy, Peacefull Easy Fealing. Plus, many more, please support "The Eagles" channel, it's great music.
I absolutely love the Eagles!! I played them non-stop in '88ish. Summer of '89 I played pretty much only G&R, (was late to the party), and let's just say that my daughter was born in the Spring of '90. I'm not entirely sure, but would bet $$ I don't have that her middle name should have been "Rose" (or Gun) HA!! 😅😂
@@xxlordbelxx1368 Patience has been one of, if not my # 1 favorite song since I was a young child. I used to listen to the whole album as well as Bat Out of Hell every morning on the way to school.

New here, and I like this Black Pegasus guy. Very funny how he was asking for a pass on misunderstanding the lyrics, then deciding he doesn't deserve a pass since it isn't really very close. Seems like a pretty chill dude.
Grace is given. Yes guns n' roses did welcome to the jungle. They also did Sweet child o mine, knocking on heaven's door, yesterdayß and my Michelle. It's been a long time but those are the ones I can think of.
Man you into some legends. Great stuff. The lyrics are hard to understand but they make sense when you read them. A lot of political overtones, almost like welcome to the jungle in a way of talking about the world. " Civil War" is a great one to check out
I'm embarrassed to say that the first time hearing this song I thought he was saying "Prairie Dog City"!!! I was 33 at the time.....my 9 year old son corrected me! I'm now 70....bit still enjoying the song!
If you haven’t reacted to Welcome to the Jungle, please do it! We ran out of the locker room onto the court before HS basketball games to it and it takes me right back to game day every time I hear it.
Me too, they were amazing, best bit was watching the cynical "who are these Yanks, never heard of them?" turn the place into a giant moshpit by the end of the band's set! GN'R weren't that huge yet, they were at the bottom of the bill below David Lee Roth, Megadeth, Kiss and Iron Maiden.
Haha it does sound like he is saying "very last city".. reminds me of "Reverand Blue Jeans".. we all thought Neil Diamond was saying Reverand Blue Jeans when I was a kid, but he was saying "Forever in Blue Jeans".. ps this song is waking me up this morning lol... good start to my day. :)
I am so glad to have been able to experience them live and to be able to do so during their heyday, but also during their lowest band chemistry period...first and only, last world/European tour in 1997 in Paris as a teenager! After that, GnR disbanded in its legendary line-up and was never again as good and full of power as in the 90s!
BTW, Manny's is a world famous guitar shop in NYC; with that context the shot of drummer Steven Alder bored out of his mind near the start of the vid is funny as heck.

GnR at Alpine Valley, crowd tore up the sod, they were tossing chunks of grass, mud onstage. Took down Slash's mic stand. Crowd on the verge of rioting. It was awesome
Carrie Underwood is singing Guns & Roses songs in her concerts, with & without Axl. Her band also opened for Guns & Roses. Apparently even though she’s Country, she’s a big fan of Axl. Check it out.
G'n'R hit different than the hardcore metal acts and the hair (glam-rock) bands from back in the day. THIS first album is THE Guns & Roses album. Use Your Illusion I & II were achievements for sure especially for a band like this and at that time. THIS album tho captured their unhinged energy! It bangs, slaps and all the adjectives that describe this album as their best!
Guns n Roses, Wembley stadium, England. Nine inch Nails. Skid Row. Absolutely off the chain concert. I still have the jeans, shirt, boots n belt worn to it.
You mentioned Revelation and it got me thinking... Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" would be an AMAZING listen for you. So deep and powerful... think you'd really dig it. Love the channel! 🎶🌴🌞

Don’t be tripping on the missed lyrics I’m 62 and been singing certain songs wrong my entire life and until I start watching some of these reaction videos and getting clarity on certain words is pretty funny and I do think it’s very easy to misunderstand those lyrics so that’s just my two cents for what It’s worth by the way love your channel. You do a really good job. Appreciate it.
Everyone mishears lyrics. I used to think the Elton John song “Island Girls” was “I Like Girls”. There are some people in rock who still don’t use in-ears.
You are forgiven, lol. I can hear how you came up with those lyrics. GNR Is in my top 3 bands of all time. And this is my favorite song!! Thank you for reacting to it. It's good to go back and listen to stuff as an adult. You catch stuff you catch as a teenager. Love it!!!
Check out Mr. Brownstone.. I get up around seven Get out of bed around nine I don't worry about nothing, no Because worry's a waste of my time Show usually starts around seven We go on stage around nine Get on the bus about eleven Sippin' a drink and feelin' fine .. just some of the lyrics.
When you listen to different songs he uses different sounding voices. Their first album was so vocal heavy that when they toured it was intense on axle vocal chords singing night after night
In 2016 Brian Johnson of AC/DC could not finsh the AC/DC tour due to hearing problems. Axel Rose stepped in and completed the tour. That combination was a powerhouse!
I would also love to see you react to "Welcome to the jungle" by GNR. As a Bengals d Dan, that's the song of our city. I also would love to see you read some of the lyrics on these songs...only because some songs have really interesting messages. And I love seeing you dissect lyrics like you have in previous videos. But either way, another great reaction!
I can feeeze frame this video and find myself in the crowd. The black and white footage from monsters of rock festival, castle donnington aug 1988, 96,000 people. Two people died in the crowd surge during thier set. Its also the show that broke g’n’r in Europe as megastars, which then broke them in the america.
You need to try these GNR tunes, these are some of my favorite songs of the group (I Used To Love Her), (Mr Brownstone), (My Michelle), (Get In The Ring), (The Garden with Alice Cooper) & (The Garden of Eden) this last tune almost sounds like an Axl Rose is rapping it's really hard to understand what he's saying, cuz he's singing so fast . You'll love these songs a lot they are some of the most different guns n' Roses songs, that most people forget about talking about when they think of GNR songs.
"Patience" is a great song by them. I was in college during the Height of GNR!!! Loved them. I was uilty of changing some lyrics in this song as well, Take me down to Paradise City, Where the girls are tan, and they got big __________. I never got to see them in college bc of no money........ but i finally bought tickets for them in person in Detroit for April of 2020. but, then Covid....... bruh.
I have misheard lyrics in songs as well. It’s funny too, I was about 10 when Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) was released. I thought it was saying Dirty Deeds ( Thunder King)..🤷♂️ LOL Another one was around the same time. I’m from East Tennessee mind you. Alan O’Day’s ‘Undercover Angel’ , I always heard Undercover Angel, Midnight Tennessee…neither made sense but sounded right to a kid! LOL I was in the Army in Germany in 1987 and heard the sound and my buddies were more than happy to line me out…They said dumb hillbilly…lol
Rap/hip-hop heads tend to think rock/metal has little to no rhyming to it. But that's mostly to the fact that they haven't listened to that much of the genre, so they end up mislead.. as always great content!
Good Reaction...... 10:55 "I Don't know if I ever heard this part before?...."...... Shows the up/down side of live performances...... Some times the chorus or Solo will get extended, or they might change the pace/tempo of the song......... Just like if you ever go watch a live play..... No two nights/performaces are identical....... You saw it in the Journey video.... where Steve sang Houston instead of Detroit.....
PLEASE Check out some of Slash's songs with Myles Kennedy!!? Anastasia is the definition of a BANGER! Here's the link to their live performance in Syndey: th-cam.com/video/bC8EmPA6H6g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PwImuEtCl1ZIW5kK
Don't sweat it. Most of the tapes back then had the lyrics printed on the inlays. It was easy to learn them when they did that. As you know, no google back then.
BP you definitely have your Metal Card now!! We all don’t know every word perfectly when we first hear it or read the lyrics. Yes zero inner ear stuff, all done by monitors with a ton of practice. They are different, Axl’s voice then was insane. Concerts insane!! Tons of security insane. Lots and lots of hot women with drugs and alcohol which equals an awesome time through the 80’s and mid 90’s of this music. The LA strip was it and will never have anything like it again. BP you’re the man. Love your face especially when this kicked into overdrive. 🤘🏻🇺🇸💯👊🏻

Carrie Underwood is singing Guns & Roses songs in her concerts, with & without Axl. Her band also opened for Guns & Roses. Apparently even though she’s Country, she’s a big fan of Axl. Check it out.
That sounds even more painful than seeing Taylor Swift trying (and failing) to sing "Pour Some Sugar On Me", with Def Leppard!
Check out " Civil War", Used to Love Her, and You're Crazy. Good stuff that you don't hear much from gnr. They have so many
Seen 'em five times in the eighties but their best concert was 2016 when they played for three hours non-stop & three encores.
At least you're not hearing Elton John's "don't let the sun go down on me" wrong. Lmao. 😂
😂😂
😂😂😂😂
😆😂🤣😭
Or "Hold Me closer, Tony Danza"
The guy from Arrested Development (Speech?) does a great cover of Redemption Song.
@@EmmaBadOne - Thanks! I had not heard that version... he's got a great take on it.

I’ve misheard lyrics before. ❤❤
“Sweet Child O’Mine”is my favorite song from them
Another vote for this on the channel
Don’t be tripping on the missed lyrics I’m 62 and been singing certain songs wrong my entire life and until I start watching some of these reaction videos and getting clarity on certain words is pretty funny and I do think it’s very easy to misunderstand those lyrics so that’s just my two cents for what It’s worth by the way love your channel. You do a really good job. Appreciate it.
Everyone mishears lyrics. I used to think the Elton John song “Island Girls” was “I Like Girls”. There are some people in rock who still don’t use in-ears.
"Coma" was my favorite GnR song. Think it was on Use Your Illusion 2.
Never stab you in the back!! We love your reactions!!!
You are forgiven, lol. I can hear how you came up with those lyrics. GNR Is in my top 3 bands of all time. And this is my favorite song!! Thank you for reacting to it. It's good to go back and listen to stuff as an adult. You catch stuff you catch as a teenager. Love it!!!
It's so fun watching you vibe to this genre.
From about '87-'90, GnR ruled the rock world. They were it, everyone else was a distant 2nd.
Check out Mr. Brownstone.. I get up around seven
Get out of bed around nine
I don't worry about nothing, no
Because worry's a waste of my time
Show usually starts around seven
We go on stage around nine
Get on the bus about eleven
Sippin' a drink and feelin' fine .. just some of the lyrics.
Nice, haven’t even started the video yet. My top 20 song forever. Let’s Go BP! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
BANGER 🔥🔥🔥 LOVE Gun's and Rose's ❤❤❤
I loved Guns n roses when I was young
When you listen to different songs he uses different sounding voices. Their first album was so vocal heavy that when they toured it was intense on axle vocal chords singing night after night
Gawd I miss going to concerts like this!!!!! Hair bands were the best ❤️
In 2016 Brian Johnson of AC/DC could not finsh the AC/DC tour due to hearing problems. Axel Rose stepped in and completed the tour. That combination was a powerhouse!
Saw G&R in 1989 when they opened for The Cult in Long Beach CA. And in 2023 at the Hollywood Bowl! 🤘🏼
Awesome song bro! ❤
You need to try these GNR tunes, these are some of my favorite songs of the group
(I Used To Love Her),
(Mr Brownstone),
(My Michelle),
(Get In The Ring),
(The Garden with Alice Cooper) &
(The Garden of Eden)
this last tune almost sounds like an Axl Rose is rapping it's really hard to understand what he's saying, cuz he's singing so fast .
You'll love these songs a lot they are some of the most different guns n' Roses songs, that most people forget about talking about when they think of GNR songs.
Fire reaction man 🔥
I remember whem I was a kid and they came to Manchester, UK. I couldn't afford tickets so I just sat outside the stadium amd listened with my friends
"Patience" is a great song by them. I was in college during the Height of GNR!!! Loved them. I was uilty of changing some lyrics in this song as well, Take me down to Paradise City, Where the girls are tan, and they got big __________.
I never got to see them in college bc of no money........ but i finally bought tickets for them in person in Detroit for April of 2020. but, then Covid....... bruh.
This is why you would lay with the cassette insert and read all the lyrics while listening a billion times to master songs.
Was 12 when it came out. I loved it and my neighbours, too
1st half of the video was Giants Stadium in Jersey and the second half was in the UK at Castle Donington.
I wish i could go back in time and get front row at this concert. When this song came out i was a damn baby. 😭
My favorite band. Love these reactions
Dozens of GnR bangers. Keep going
Funny, I always thought it was "Very Last City" as well! ☺
that fucking crowd near the end is absolutely massive
PLEASE Check out some of Slash's songs with Myles Kennedy!!? Anastasia is the definition of a BANGER!
Here's the link to their live performance in Syndey: th-cam.com/video/bC8EmPA6H6g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PwImuEtCl1ZIW5kK
09:58 best reaction ever
🤘😝🤘
I was at 8 GnR concerts in the 80’s and 90’s… best memories of my life!!!!!
Don't sweat it. Most of the tapes back then had the lyrics printed on the inlays. It was easy to learn them when they did that. As you know, no google back then.
I love the energy of this one 🤘🔥🤘
Gosh I love axels voice .....great music.❤❤❤❤
BP you definitely have your Metal Card now!! We all don’t know every word perfectly when we first hear it or read the lyrics. Yes zero inner ear stuff, all done by monitors with a ton of practice. They are different, Axl’s voice then was insane. Concerts insane!! Tons of security insane. Lots and lots of hot women with drugs and alcohol which equals an awesome time through the 80’s and mid 90’s of this music. The LA strip was it and will never have anything like it again. BP you’re the man. Love your face especially when this kicked into overdrive. 🤘🏻🇺🇸💯👊🏻
I do this as well with some songs. I always thought the Bee Gees were singing Bald headed woman, rather than "More than a woman". ❤
It was great being in my 20's during this rock and roll era.
