my favorite one is the "the actual owner" who just records the bike while talking about everything that has or hasnt gone wrong with the bike. not to be confused with "the dad" who keeps talking about his aftermarket mirrors and pegs
You forgot the one where the reviewer holds the camera in their hands walks around the bike, pointing and fideling with things, talking about it with a heavy accent and and never shows his face, if you are lucky he will even start it, the bike is obviously his own and he desided to share it with the world.
It may not be that they "Have no spine" maybe they don't want to alienate some viewers. There is a right way and a wrong way to point on shortcomings of bikes. IMO Spite's Corner does it wrong. Where MotoBob does it right.
Clichè, but Fortnine tends to have the best reviews in my opinion. And actually your channel is in second place for me. Fortnine has the fortune of having an enitre staff and crew to work with, but you despite being a one man job do a similar job in describing and letting the viewer feel your emotions on the bike. There are a lot of reveiws with logic and facts but the ones that are memorable to me are the ones that made me feel what emotion I would feel with that bike. The 2 that I liked the most from you were the harley and the KLR ones, partly because I'm not on the adrelanine side of biking, partly because you had so much to give opinions on.
In my country we dont have test drives and honestly i love all 5 approaches , they all offer something of interest when bying a bike especially if its a first ever bike.
For someone thinking about starting a motorcycle TH-cam channel, this video has been PURE GOLD. Thanks for breaking this down and showing all the examples! Superb video!
It was quite entertaining to try and figure out which moto reviewer is which type. Fortnine is quite easy to figure out. Througout the video I tried to figure out which one you are, but you literally have done all of them. My favorite is your R1 videos.
You forgot one major type: the professional motorcycle journalist. These are people who have usually written a lot and ridden a lot in their careers, and usually know more or less what they're talking about. Some have a better connection to what normal riders like and some are lost in the rare atmosphere of being able to ride 5 different $30k bikes a month. Also, my favourite by far are Schaaf's RAW videos. I know no other rider whose videos translate into my own riding feeling as well as his do.
All in all a great piece of footage and a perspective I was aware of but hadn’t seen put forward in such an illuminating fashion. Right up there with Ryan F9 and that’s a very good thing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love how we all know exactly who is who. It's a masterful vid if you can subtly roast the big creators without mentioning them, while also showing a bit of love for them all.

There is 6th type I can not stand. One who has "Best modern classic bikes 2024" text in thumbnail, "Honest review of Royal Enfield and Moto Morini" in title, but as soon as you turn it on, it's "Namaskaar doston, mere chainal mein aapaka svaagat hai. aaj ham Royal Enapheeld kee pooja karate hain!"
Long term reviews like Big Rock Moto who buys a bike and rides it in all conditions for 6+ months and provides reviews over time. I especially like reviews where they go into the service schedule and costs which can add significantly to long term ownership. Otherwise, the vast majority of reviews a just re-marketing and less than useful.

After some trial and error on my videos, i realized a voiceover is much better for me. But i don't have a gimball and an insta360. I'm still using my 5 year old samsung and a Hero4 for most of my footage. 😅
dangit! there goes ma bidness! TBH , motorcycle review has become an industry off of itself. Honest reviewers dont get motorcycles to review, so less content means nobody watches them. So eventually many cave in. Nevertheless, some people dont compromise on honesty
You might wanna check some motorcycle reviews from different indian channels. Found them recently while checking every video about my z650. You might not learn much, but you're guaranteed to fell in love with your bike. The amount of energy is turned to 90% constantly

I think you missed the travel reviewer if you can call it that. Freddie Dobbs comes to mind and I really like him. He puts the bike through it's paces and comments on it.

CC, Try this for a review. As the baseline for the review, Ask the question- "What was the manufacturer trying to make? And how successful where they?" Then See what the manufacturer has said about its own bike and if the bike lives up to the hype. Also as a secondary baseline compare it to other bikes in its class, but make sure the bikes are in its class. Compare it to those baselines in that order, the provide a conclusion, but leave it up to the viewer to form their own conclusion.
You need to watch themissendenflyer🤣🤣 this guy spends an hour in his kitchen reading the MCN to you while his 30 grand red paperweight collects dust in his garage. Every once in a while he'll borrow a bike to reveiw despite it being set up for someone else.
One thing I despise is reviewers that compare a given bike to another bike that is nowhere close to it. Not that I take any youtube review seriously, I don't.

If you fall or something would hit you your screen will be fcked up instead of the phone case protecting the phone or worse case scenario the back glass getting damaged what would be less bad than the screen
I don't like behind the desk guys at all but somehow they seem to have more subscribers. Non bikers and aspirants are their target audience hence the mass subscription.

I like the vlogger approach when they have their camera and mic setup correct. When they dont, it`s just a mess of bad audio. Nothing worse than hearing 1/3 of what they are saying because of wind blast. I really dont get why they need that many shots of the camera facing themself, feels a bit narcissistic. Fine it you are showing something with your hands, but seeing your face riding down the road for multiple minutes babbeling in the helment just looks wierd. The desk guy without footage himself is lazy. Most of them have some footage of themself in the appropriate setting is fine. Sorry, but almost every british vlogger / reviewer is really boring to look and listen too. Seeing people putting around town and calling it a review without even have ridden the bike over 5krpm is not a review. Most of them also have no personality and are as bland as their biscuits and tea. Oh and the most important part of a review, WE WANT TO HEAR THE ENGINE! Not the genetic music you have put over it, overpowering both you and the bike. Thanks for making the content👍

Yeah I find it useful he shows where the air box is and what access is like etc it doesn't even occur to other reviewers
