I absolutely love this comment... We do strive for epic, but we also try to see the epic in everything we do and appreciate where we are at the time. Thank you so much for the great advice, I’m going to save this as a daily reminder of why we do what we do. Thanks so much.
Oh my god I love it when Maggie shows how loved she feels in your laps. You definitely are nice people. I can tell by your dog. What a beautiful site you had. When you took the walk it took my breath away. Nice virgin voyage! Thank you for sharing your trips, your views and Maggie. The picture of the three of you is awesome. It looks like Maggie is smiling. My hope is someday to cross paths and maybe sit by a fire and chit chat. Keep Trekking!
You guys are so cool !! So glad you got your new Revel ! We love watching your adventures! We are looking forward to Borders opening again soon !! Safe travels !🦋💕🇨🇦
Am happy your videos were introduced to me. Love yout attitude! Love how you look at life with humor! Throughout watching your adventures, I keep a smile on my face.
Thanks for another great video. I hope you continue to enjoy your Revel for many many more trips together. You both seem really happy together and I am pretty sure neither of you is that great of an actor. It is nice to see a couple so happy together doing what you both love.
Thank you so much for your kind words. You are correct that we are not very good actors. What you see is what we really are. We are both blessed and thankful that we are each other’s best friends and we love being together.
Glad to see you enjoying yourself with your new van and furry travel buddy. Give Maggie an extra hug, because we lost our 13 year old travel buddy Bella the Cockapoo this week. Our hearts are broken and it's hard to imagine our lives without her. Enjoy these precious short years with your fur baby.
Oh nooooooo! 😢 😢 We know all too well about the short lives. Maggie came into our lives at a time when our hearts were just crushed after losing our 17-yr-old Border Collie, Jake. We are so very, very sorry to hear about Bella. Our hearts are broken for you and your family. Come and get a Maggie kiss anytime you want to. I wrote and recorded this song about our Border Collie. It may mean something to you at this point (but it is a sad listen) owenpoteat.bandcamp.com/track/some-say-dogs-dont-go-to-heaven
Nice that you sold you Revel and to someone from Michigan where I’m from. I remember those memories you had with her that you showed on the video. Sad to see her go but now you’ll be making more memories with your Ekko. These memories might be better ones. Happy tails to you! And have a great week. Safe travels.
Happy for you, wishing many wonderful adventures. I watched you come down the rock steps, as we age we don’t scamper down them any. Please consider a walking stick for steps. It acts like a railing and keeps balance. I fell in my late 60’s, broke my leg and ankle in 3 places. Hiking on anything but good trails is over for us. Congratulations on the new toy, enjoy the ride.
Thank you for the advice for a walking stick. We’ve both tried to use one but with a camera in one hand and Maggie in the other it makes it hard. We do use one on more strenuous hikes, we just didn’t think this was going to be one of them. Sorry to hear about your fall, it only takes a slight slip to cause a lot of damage and we slip a lot. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
First time viewer looking to downsize from a 44' DP and jeep... like the concept of the 4x4 class B or B+ !!! Thanks for the intro and jealous of the North Carolina views - enjoyed Asheville area and our first 4x4 adventure while there ! one trick we jeepers do is bring a small 12v air pump along and let air out of the tires (even down to 10psi for show crawling) for rocky/rough roads, makes for a much more comfortable ride at the same time as better tire contact patch for better traction! Then air up when getting back to better roads... enjoy !
We have not done the airing up and down but I’m sure we will, that will be something we need to learn how to do. Thanks for the information. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, it is much appreciated.
Just love your videos - I think you both will be very happy with the Revel - I think they are a really nice looking van. You both remind me of the grandparents that I lost 10 years ago - my grandma always made us fried Bologna sandwiches - the best and snacks and we would go out fishing under our favorite old iron bridge in the country - memories I cherish now that they are gone I miss them so very much - you both worked hard all of your lives and now it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor - may you continue to have great health and wonderful adventures!!! Can't wait to see where you are at next Sunday!!!
We are honored that we can bring back wonderful memories of your grandparents. Continue to cherish those memories and it will make you want to do the same when you are a grandparent. Thanks for the wonderful comment.
Hi Owen and Lynn, We love your videos and you have inspired us to one day, purchase an RV. This week you mentioned you got rid of the rattles in your new Revel. We understand that rattles will be prevalent on any RV and would like to know your techniques to get rid of the annoying rattles. Thanks for all of your videos and tips and happy dances.
You are right. Rattles are in every RV for sure. All that bouncing just makes for perfect storm for rattles and noises. On our first shake down trip there were noises from everything in the van, most were due to not really have much in the cabinets and shelves, etc. So filling it up deadened the sound and cut down on rattles and noises. We also put insulation under the front mat in the van to cut down on the road noise. And we chose to get a more road-quiet tire instead of off-road style tire, Michelin Agilis Cross Climates. There are still noises and rattles. In fact every trip with every RV we’ve ever made has started out with Lynn crawling in the back to rearrange and “find that rattle”. But good packing in the cabinets and chasing down the loud spots and solving with insulation can make it very comfortable. We’re almost there in the Revel.
So nice to see your new home! We love watching your videos no matter which van you’re in. We have a Hymer Aktiv and travel very similarly to you. We also have our Stella who loves to chase squirrels like Maggie. Enjoy and be safe!
Thank you for your comment. It really doesn’t matter what you travel in it’s all about getting out there and enjoying this beautiful country. We appreciate you watching.
You’ve been with us for awhile 🤣. You are correct, my foot doesn’t have as much leverage as it use to, I think I will feel more comfortable taking the Revel off road.
Been a fan of yours since the travato k but with my disabilities and limitations I have stretched my limitations and am so happy my husband can drive me to see sites I couldn’t without the comforts and to be able to lay down or have a bathroom with my disabilities. I need a smooth ride and so far the travato has given me the opportunity to visit my five children.I am happy that you guys are able to do the things you are able to do by stretching things out to be able to do what you want. Thankyou for all your postings in helping us to decide on the travato 💕
I applaud your spirits of adventure! Your souls are still young and you are growing with every step you take that challenges your status quo. I absolutely loved this video and the location you chose. It was a great shakedown run. Owens videography skills have grown significantly in this episode! Carry on Trekkers! We are with you all the way!👍🤠🇺🇸🙏✝️
Thank you so much for this wonderful comment. It truly made my day. It was a prefect description of how we feel right now. We truly appreciate you being with us. Have a wonderful week.
Oh my gosh! You guys are so brave, I am not sure I could get so close to the edge of those rocks. It was a long way down. You hit one rough bump back there and I was wondering how Maggie liked all those bumpy roads. Enjoy and be safe out there! Oh yes, I love the video!
I wonder what the new Class B that Winnebago is supposed to announce on 11/18 that is supposed to be 4x4 and a bit longer? I have no clue but will.be tuned in for the live event. We can't wait for the details to unfold. Glad you folks are getting great use of your Revel on your shakedown cruises!
So from a T with a trailer to the Revel. Hmmmm. It will be interesting to see how you mount the E bikes and the kayaks. I do appreciate the flexible comments. It would be easier to just rent a cabin someplace but we like the challenges of the van.
It will be very interesting to what we can add to the van and yes it would be a lot cheaper to rent a cabin, but we always like to sleep in our own bed. Thanks for watching
Great video. I’ll say your lucky Owen, that your wife will camp in something as small as the Revel. I’m working on my wife for a Travato but I keep eyeing a Storyteller Overland Beast 😂. She died when I explained the bathroom and toilet. Anyhow great starter trip and video. ✌🏼
Love the Storyteller Overland Beast, we have some friends that have one on order and like that it’s more open than the Revel. Good luck taking your wife into the Travato, we loved ours.
#10 here...great job and those views from that cliff...could have starred all day, Glad you're adjusting to the Revel and if it makes you feel better...I'm an envious 71 years young, lol. Thanks for the free ride!
I live in the triangle and I love the NC mountains. I have been eying the Revel since it came out but it'll probably be 30 years before I could afford something like that. Looks like a lot of fun!
Owen has been eying the Revel for two years and he is loving it. We have spent a lot of time this years traveling close to home and have fail in love with the NC mountains again. Thanks so much for the comment.
You’re in good hands, I’ve seen the Revel’s do well in Alaska and Colorado’s roughest back country roads. I would recommend a skin plate underneath, some big bright fog lights up front on top or below. A lift kit if you like. Also learn how to air your tires for certain type of dirt, but I’m out here in Utah/Nevada/Arizona area so you might not have to worry about that. Happy trails!
Thanks for all the great advice. We are trying to figure out all the mods we need to do. We are hoping to spend the winter in the Arizona area if the virus doesn’t change that. Thanks again.
*SKID PLATE sorry typo! Probably the best investment for over landing. I’ve seen puncture oil pans etc on trail not a good situation. The fog lights as well. Arizona is fantastic in the winter. You should try to stick around for Bob Wells RTR (Rubber Tramp Rendezvous) in Quartsize it’s a great time.
You must have a really bad drive way. Most of the road was not that bad I guess we were taking it easy for out first trip, but it was still fun. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the inspiration. I am guessing that you are the same age as my wife and I. Currently we are lugging a 30' travel trailer all over the U.S., though it has amazing amenities, I crave camping in the out of the way spots down dirt/gravel roads, away from the RV parks, especially when we travel out West. Maybe I can share these videos with my wife and convince her to downsize like you all did. Happy Trails!
That’s is exactly why we got a van in the first place. We can’t wait to get out West to camp on some BLM land. I will say it is hard to give up all that space and amenities. Thanks so much for your comment.
You guys are awesome. I ordered my Revel back in August. Supposed to be ready for delivery in January!! Can't wait, maybe I'll see you guys out there!!!
We have the same $10 Walmart step stool in a different color and we are sitting in GCI Pico chairs identical to yours. All we need is a Revel to have the same camping setup. What a beautiful area, enjoyed the video.
Love this video! Oh the places you can go in a four wheel drive Revel. Love your ideas for storage. I'm the one who didn't think we could go smaller than our Navion but I'm thinking perhaps we could after seeing this. Oh, we're old enough to be your older sister and brother! 😃 Keep on having fun and give sweet Maggie a pat.
Your at my "go to" camping spot! Old 105 Whistler Hwy. It's changed a lot over the last 30 years. Too many people are killing trees and leaving trash behind. Love the new rig. Might want to pick up a set of snow chains if you drive the forestry roads this winter. Ask me how I know?
Yeah, we are with you on the changes and it’s our go-to place now too. We didn’t show it but just behind the camping spot was a renters 💩 area with toilet paper on the ground and a distinct odor. NOT COOL! I’ll play along,... how do you know? 😂
Another great adventure!! Beautiful Rebel !! Love the scenery as always . I can see the smile on your face when you drive this machine . Good wife you got there Owen . I heard that the best def you can buy is the platinum for you Diesel Mercedes ! It’s new and can improve your mileage . Thank you for sharing this video with me. BS & BK .
Good Morning Sweet Friends! Happy Sunday! Man, I was really hoping y’all would be excited about the new van! 😉 I can tell Owen’s like a kid in a candy store! I’m so excited for y’all! This was such a great place to camp! The Brown Mtn lights always intrigued me and creeped me out at the same time. Your videography here was so great! We were at Hunting Island, SC, while y’all were there. The weather is always something to contend with! We have some of the ottomans, too, they are great! I’m glad you’re enjoying the new ride so much. She’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing about getting everything situated. It’s a constant activity for me...trying to figure out a way to make things work better. I’m loving this! Thanks so much for sharing the journey with us. Love you guys so much! I look forward to seeing you each Sunday! Your friend in SC, Jane❤️🙏🏻😊BTW, thanks for sharing about your meals, too, Lynn, I am working on doing better about meal prep by watching/learning from you.
As always, we love hearing from you. Yes, Owen is very excited about the van he had a permanent grin on his face as we were driving on those dirt roads. We are still trying to get everything situated and it’s good to hear that I’m not the only one that keeps trying to make things better. Glad to hear you were out enjoying Hunting Island, we love that place, maybe one day we’ll be at the same place. Thanks so much for your continued support and have a wonderful week.
I'm loving you guys. I liked all the great information about the van set up and the beautiful places you filmed. But you really got me when you took me to school on the rhododendron. Thanks Fabulous!!! ❤️😊
Thank you, we are the lucky ones when Maggie found us... there’s not a day that goes by that she doesn’t make us smile in someway, it’s a priceless thing.
I'm so glad that you loved the Revel! I know it's hard to look that happy.....it's going to be a great new and exciting journey for you. Happy late anniversary to two great people....and Maggie!
Just discovered your great channel, and in just a few episodes my wife Mary and I have become great fans. We travel around the country in our GMC extended van. Just wanted to share our experience on Natchez trace parkway the same night of the tornado, we were at merriweather lewis campground . Would have been great to meet you there. Stay safe and enjoy the ride. Thanks Gary
What a great trip and the views where amazing. Don’t apologize for your age or the epicness of your travels! You guys are living the dream thank you for sharing it with us. I can’t wait to see the upgrades you’ll eventually make. Thank you safe travels. ❤️❤️
Hello Me and my wife are from charlotte nc and we are into our 1st year of Rving Me and my wife are from costa rival a and just saw your channel and we love it We hope to see you on the road
Flexibility is a great thing. You're thinking outside the box about how to improve the inside of the box! Looks like you're very well organized and Owen, you look happier than a pig in ----!
That’s a great line... I should have thought of that. 😂 We are getting there with organization... and yes, dear friend, I was and am pretty happy. Challenges at any age keep you sharp and growing. Lynn and I are always happy when we have a challenge to solve together like this. Hope you guys are warm and safe.
Looked like fun. Like the new van. We are gonna have to head out over there and hit some forest roads with the jeep and find some places to do some tent camping.
Love this! Glad to see you guys out on the forest service roads - that will be a perfect out-west rig too! Looking forward to seeing you guys go off-grid this year. Talk to us about solar, lithium batteries, inverters, etc. Also keep us up to date on the composting/cassette toilet. When we sold our westy, I was sure I'd get another van, but we're giving the truck camper thing a try - so far so good, but you might convert me back to a van guy. Cheers!
Hey old friend! I don’t know... there are lots of great options in truck campers. We haven’t tried that yet but maybe one day. We’ll keep you posted on components in the van. So far it’s been a well designed travel vehicle. Solar is working great, the toilet is too after the first trek at dumping and the lithium batteries are awesome. Does your truck camper have lithium? If not, it’s a worthwhile upgrade. Maybe one day soon we can camp on top of the mountain together. We’d love that.
Glad that you've found you have ample room. I feared you'd sorely miss the two feet and the pair of chaise lounges. The 19 ft Revel sure looks tiny from the outside.
Hey next time you cook on that black stone or any place try this one. Take you a tea spoon of butter or margin and a tea spoon of grape or any kind of jelly you want use as much as you want to. Grape is good stuff. Melt both on the grill or frying pan low heat to medium heat. Put your seasoning on the stake or poultry meat. Drop on top of the melted butter and jelly in the pan or grill. Cook it till you like it. Very good with wild game to. I try some onions on it when it was cooking. I will watch your videos to see if you try it and like it Enjoy. Try it cooking a hamburger. The jelly and butter just set's it off. I want to see you dance when you try it.
That sounds very interesting... we will give it a try. It sounds like something Owen would like and I’m sure you will see his happy dance. Thanks for the suggestion.
Going to take a lot to remove that smile from Owen's face. A great, early Christmas gift. Congratulations. BTW, my bride of 37 years makes fabulous deviled eggs!
I just found your channel and wanted to reach out to ya'll. I've had a Revel for a couple of years and we are really enjoying it. We recently got back home to Asheville, Nc. from a 3 month trip to the Rocky mountains. If you're in our area again, let's meet up and talk about van life stuff.
Hi, ya'll. Sorry I can't stay and chat, because I got to go out shopping for a 200 inch wide TV so that both of your smiles will fit in the screen ! Didn't God do good ?
Great video! You guys are easy to watch and since I am probably close to your age its perfect to see what I could do. I am on west coast, haven't travelled much to the east coast so I am enjoying seeing it through your eyes! See you next week. Have you given a tour of your new Revel? I can't remember. Happy trails and stay safe out there. Jan
So glad we are able to show what you can do travel wise. We have not done a complete tour of the Revel, we hope to do that soon. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Beautiful scenery! Not really biking territory so have you decided not to take the rad bikes with the new van? Or maybe they'll fit in the box when you get it mounted? It's late fall here so the tourists have gone home and cycling the rail trails is great! Here's to new adventures!
We do plan to take the bikes but we didn’t think we would be riding them much on this trip. It is something on our list to make sure it works. Glad you are able to enjoy your rail trails, it is a lot better without so many people.
Hi Philip. Thanks for watching and commenting. We live on the east coast so even if we head out west for off-road adventures, 90% or more of our driving miles will be on smooth pavement. For our Travato we tried more aggressive tread patterns when we went to Alaska. The tires did great there but there was considerably more road noise. We replaced them with Michelin Agilis Cross Climates and loved them. When we started out with that roaring road noise on the Revel we quickly decided that for the 5-10% of driving we’d do off-road in the Revel it wasn’t worth the road noise to have tires designed specifically for that purpose. If these don’t work out we can swap for more aggressive tread pattern but for now we’re opting for quieter, smoother riding and better mpg in the Michelin Agilis Cross Climates.
What kind of tires did you end up with? Glad to hear that you’re pleased with the ride and have managed to silence most of the rattles! Great campsite and area for your shakedown trip! There just aren’t many places to do that here in the east!
So glad you are happy with the Revel. We enjoy your videos very much. We have a 2021kl NPE and are curious if the queen mattress that you cut to size to replace the existing twin mattress worked. Was it more comfortable and would you recommend it? Can you list what mattress you used. Thanks so much and keep on trekking!
We felt the mattress was a lot more comfortable, it was more on the firm side. I would order a regular queen instead of the queen short. It’s on our Amazon page if you are interested in the “inside section”, here’s the link www.amazon.com/shop/vantrekkinglifestyle.
Hi! Loved the views, and so happy that you both are able to find, and get to, those out of the way places you've been longing for! How's the sleeping in the Revel going?
We are loving the places we are able to go and explore with the Revel. We are sleeping well in the Revel, we did add a topper, which was a small challenge due to the puzzle bed. We appreciate your comment.
The ottomans are a great storage solution but not very comfortable for sitting on for any period of time. Surprisingly the cassette toilet is working out well, the more we use it the more comfortable we are getting with it.
We did several things to eliminate the rattles, we tightened some of the screws on the bed, we added insulation under the driver seat and under the kitchen drawers, and we packed our stuff better than the first time. However, I’m not sure which one fix what we were hearing. Thanks for the question.
Ive got to hand it to you two. The Revel is a little tight. We have a 37 foot Jayco Eagle and love it but we are destined to stay at regular camp grounds. We do love watching your videos however and love them. You have Maggie and we have Minnie Rose who is a 4 lb yorkie. See ya next Sunday.
The Revel is tight for sure. We have traveled a lot of different ways, but right now we are ok with the size of the Revel I’m sure there will come a time when we will want something bigger. Give Minnie Rose a pat for us. Safe travels.
Like your new Revel and we enjoy your videos each week. BTW what brand of camp chair were you sitting in? You’ve got the perfect rig for some Colorado adventures.
Thank you for always watching. It means a lot to us. They are GCI Outdoor Pico Chairs. Here’s a link to those in our Amazon store. www.amazon.com/dp/B07N71DDXW/?ref=exp_vantrekkinglifestyle_dp_vv_d They setup quickly and are actually very comfortable. They are heavier than our other outdoor chairs and take up a little more space than our puzzle chairs... but are worth it for the ease of setting up and comfort.
The garage mod is brilliant, but what about the bikes? I've been away and may have missed a vid abt that, but will they now go in the Thule on the back? And the grill? The screen tent? Hooking a trailer up to a small, nimble 4WD seems to defeat the purpose.
We are in the process of solving how to take the things you mentioned. We have the griddle solved, next is the bikes, I’m sure we will put the on the hitch. We still have to figure out the screen room. You are correct that hooking up the trailer might defeat the purpose but I’m sure we will still take it on certain trips. We appreciate the comment.
Hello Owen, You've discussed in detail the move from the Travato to the Revel but as I looked back over your videos, I didn't find a discussion on why the move from the luxury of a large 5th wheel to the Travato. Now I've been on board with you two since the start of your Alaska trip. I even have a notebook showing each episode of the trip with details cause we are going to Alaska in 2022 when my wife retires. We own a 24' travel trailer purchased and modified just for the trip. Told you that, to tell you this - we plan on replacing the small camper with a nice mid-size 5th wheel when we return. So if you decided a large 5th wheel wasn't right for you, maybe it isn't a good choice for us either. So if you could tell me which video you discussed that in, I would appreciate it. I couldn't find it. Blessings, David.
Hey David. We don’t even have a notebook. We need one for sure. We kind of talked about it starting about 3 years ago. We took our granddaughter to the Grand Canyon in our 33-ft Grand Design. Many parts of that trip were stressful due to height, length and Lynn not being really comfortable helping drive it. That planted the seed to downsize. While in Florida the next winter we enjoyed the 5th wheel but decided that year that we were ready to go see more instead of camping in one spot. Our first big trip planned was Acadia and then Alaska but neither of us wanted to drag the Grand Design to Alaska so we started researching and got the Travato. Glad we did. It was a great way to see Alaska and the west during that trip and others. BTW, we plan to return to Alaska in 2022 as well. Your plans with your TT and 5th-wheel probably fit the style of travel most take best. We almost decided to go the comfort and luxury route last month too but we’re not getting any younger and want to explore as much as we can right now. Let us know if you have anything else we need to add to your Alaska notebook and we’ll be glad to help. Hope we see you there!
Does it really matter if every trip is epic? No, what matters is that you keep moving, keep doing what you enjoy, satisfying that hunger for another adventure, and not give in to being complacent. Don’t rest on your laurels, make it happen and do it your own way, So many roads, so little time. Happy tails Maggie girl. 👍👍🙋🏼♀️❤️🐕🚗🇺🇸

You guys are so cool !! So glad you got your new Revel ! We love watching your adventures!
We are looking forward to
Borders opening again soon !!
Safe travels !🦋💕🇨🇦
Thank you so much. We are hoping the boarding will open soon too. We appreciate your comment.
Am happy your videos were introduced to me.
Love yout attitude! Love how you look at life with humor!
Throughout watching your adventures, I keep a smile on my face.
It’s really good to hear that we put a smile on your face. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, it is much appreciated.
Nice that you sold you Revel and to someone from Michigan where I’m from. I remember those memories you had with her that you showed on the video. Sad to see her go but now you’ll be making more memories with your Ekko. These memories might be better ones. Happy tails to you! And have a great week. Safe travels.
Our plans are to make just as many great memories with the Ekko.
John says I'd be perfect if I cooked in the nude, no need for deviled eggs. Men are so easy.
Yes, men are easy... I don’t think Owen meant you had to cook while you were naked, but I’m sure he would like it too.
Some men!
🤣 Mine turned 80 yesterday and he would still say the same thing - and skip the deviled eggs!
So happy for you!!!!
Thank you so much Joyce. We appreciate the comment.
Beautiful colors and enjoyed your new travel toy. I also enjoyed your discussion about being flexible. It’s a great reminder. Happy Trails.
Thank you so much we appreciate you watching and commenting.
Thanks, for taking us along. Be Safe and Stay Healthy! Happy Trails!
You are so welcome and thank you for taking the time to comment and watch our videos.
Thanks for taking me along on your journey. Looking forward to more about the Revel. Safe travels
You are so welcome and thank you for following along, it is much appreciated.
We so look forward to Sundays to get our Maggie fix....oh and you two aren't so bad yourselves! So glad you are enjoying your new Beast!
Thank you so much. She is a Beast and Owen loves it.
Love the opening about being flexible
Thank you we appreciate you watching.
Thank you for sharing this awsome trip.. very nice ..🤗
you guys are so kind.. and sweet..
really down to earth couple ..
Love that..😁👍😊
You are so very welcome and Thank you for you kind comment.
Looks like the days of Lynn “putting her foot down” when choosing a suitable road are over 😇
You’ve been with us for awhile 🤣.
Sounds like you have a wonderful husband. We are glad the Travato is working out for you . Safe travels.
Beautiful, enlightening and just great views; happy “stretching”
Thank you, we appreciate you watching and commenting.
Awesome van, awesome trip! Thanks for sharing! 🤙
You are welcome and thank you for watching.
I really like your storage solution under the bed. Great use of that space.
The ottomans are great for storage but are not very comfortable to sit on for a long period.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle did you post where you purchased those ottomans? Thanks for the video!
@@mindyward3246 They are listed in our Amazon affiliate store: www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle
Such beautiful scenery.......showing God's handiwork!!!!!
Thank you so much. We love finding and sharing God’s handiwork.
Maggie doesn’t seem to mind the bumpy roads as long as she can hang her head out the window. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
We are very interested in the Winnebago announcement also. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Your joy is contagious. May it continue to grow.
Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot.
The garage mod you did for space was a great idea! Beautiful scenery.
Thank you, the garage ottomans are great for storage but not for sitting for a long period of time.
Hilarious! So much fun. Thanks for the video.
You are so welcome and thank you for watching.
Keep on Trekking! God Bless!
Thank you and God Bless you!
Wow some beautiful views would make a nice wallpaper for computer.
Yes it would. We appreciate your comment.
That's some impressive videography.
Thank you so much, you comment is much appreciated.
You are so welcome and thank you for riding along with us. We are continuing to adjust the Revel to work best for us. We appreciate your comment.
No rattles! Yaay! 😍. Gorgeous country... those views!!! Owen looks soooo happy!
The rattles was our #1 priority. Glad you could see that Owen is very happy with the van. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
What a beautiful place you found to stay! It reminds me a lot of the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan's UP.
We hope to go to Michigan UP this year, we will make sure we visit Porcupine Mountain. Thanks for the suggestion.
Omg what a Beautiful scenery. You guys are loving your new rig. Maggie smile at that picture 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much and we appreciate your comment.
Nice video, your 4x4 road looks like my drive way. 😀😀
Happy Days. Good job guys.
Thank you, yes they are happy days.
You guys are awesome. I ordered my Revel back in August. Supposed to be ready for delivery in January!! Can't wait, maybe I'll see you guys out there!!!
Congratulations on getting your Revel, I know you are excited. Hope we will see you on the road.
We have the same $10 Walmart step stool in a different color and we are sitting in GCI Pico chairs identical to yours. All we need is a Revel to have the same camping setup. What a beautiful area, enjoyed the video.
Thanks Gary, we are enjoying the Pico chairs. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
Very cool! Great set up
Thanks so much for the comment.
Nice first trip in the Revel.....she's purrty
Thanks so much, we appreciate your comment.
Thank you, I think the Navion is a great size. But we do like where the 4x4 will take us. Thanks so much for watching.
You guys are so fun! I also puck up the campsites I am at. Maybe more people will become interested in conservation as they enjoy these sites
Thanks for your comment. We appreciate you watching.
BS & BK .
Thanks for sharing the info on the DEF, we will check that out for sure. We appreciate you comment as always. Have a wonderful week.
I could feel the joy in this video. Thank you.
That is such a nice thing to say and it’s much appreciated. Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Hey guys. As always great video. Maggie sure was lucky finding you two.
Thank you, we are the lucky ones when Maggie found us... there’s not a day that goes by that she doesn’t make us smile in someway, it’s a priceless thing.
Nice episode in many ways. Thanks for trailblazing.
Thank you for your comment, it means a lot.
I'm so glad that you loved the Revel! I know it's hard to look that happy.....it's going to be a great new and exciting journey for you. Happy late anniversary to two great people....and Maggie!
Thank you so much my friend. We are very excited about this new journey we are on. Much love!
"Look back to learn look forward to succeed" that's my model.
That’s a great model, thanks for sharing.
Taking late Feb delivery on our '21 Revel. Cant wait to see ya out there, from one 'old guy' to another, ;-)
AWESOME!!!! You’re going to love it. Hope our paths cross while we’re both in 4x4 mode!
Beautiful area. I just love a foggy fall morning with a cup of good coffee. Enjoy and safe travels.
I think the fog makes thing more beautiful especially as it start to lift. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Gary
Glad you found our channel. We were only a couple of days ahead of you on the Natchez Trace. Maybe we’ll see you on the road somewhere.
What a great trip and the views where amazing. Don’t apologize for your age or the epicness of your travels! You guys are living the dream thank you for sharing it with us. I can’t wait to see the upgrades you’ll eventually make. Thank you safe travels. ❤️❤️
Thank you for the support and encouraging words. We are living the dream for sure and loving every minute of it. Thanks for being with us.
Hello
Me and my wife are from charlotte nc and we are into our 1st year of Rving
Me and my wife are from costa rival a and just saw your channel and we love it
We hope to see you on the road
We are glad you found our channel, maybe will see you on the road since you are so close. Good luck with Rving, we hope you love it as much as we do.
Thank you for the great videos!! Have a wonderful day!
You are so welcome and thank you for watching. Have a great week.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Feel free to use any pearl droppings, Owen! It's the very least I can do for all the smiles you give out!
Tip: If you’re going off-road pack a bow saw for those downed trees blocking the path.
That’s a great suggestion, we do have a saw and have used it for fire wood but never for down trees.
Looked like fun. Like the new van. We are gonna have to head out over there and hit some forest roads with the jeep and find some places to do some tent camping.
It’s a great place to go, have fun.
Maggie sure walks on the edge.... lol
Yes, she does. I guess she want to be able to see too.
Awesome 👏
Thank you, we appreciate you watching.
Very enjoyable video! {Now you've got me hooked on the Revel.}
Thank you, we appreciate you watching and commenting.
It’s beautiful, love the photos
Thanks you, we appreciate you watching.
Glad that you've found you have ample room. I feared you'd sorely miss the two feet and the pair of chaise lounges. The 19 ft Revel sure looks tiny from the outside.
Only time will tell if we will miss those 2 feet. The Revel is small but we are very confident that we can make it work.
Love that country my folks lived near Cashiers for a long time! Keep us posted on toilet issues 😂
It is beautiful country. Owen is doing better with the toilet, we’ll keep you updated.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Ok can't wait to see what he does with it.
When will you do a walk thru of the complete layout: Bed space, etc? Been up there in my Westy years ago. Good to see those camp sites are still there
We will do a walk thru soon. This is the first time we’ve ever checked out those camp sites... but I’m sure we will go back. Thanks for the interest.
Going to take a lot to remove that smile from Owen's face. A great, early Christmas gift. Congratulations. BTW, my bride of 37 years makes fabulous deviled eggs!
It has been a great Christmas, Birthday, and all those holiday gifts. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your comment.
That would be wonderful we would love to to that. We do come to that area often. We’ll be in touch.
I see a set of MaxTrax in your future...because now, you will always want to see what’s just around the bend😁
That was the first thing Owen bought for the van, and they do make us feel more comfortable about seeing what’s around the bend.
Hi, ya'll. Sorry I can't stay and chat, because I got to go out shopping for a 200 inch wide TV so that both of your smiles will fit in the screen ! Didn't God do good ?
HaHa!!! Thanks for the wonderful comment and the smile you brought to your faces. Yes, God did good!
Beautifull color!
Thank you, we appreciate you watching.
Nice spot to camp. Come up to the Adirondacks you would like it here also. Be safe.
I’m sure we would love the Adirondacks. It is on our list. Thanks for the suggestion.
You can boondock on my property. I will let you use my blackstone grill. Be safe. Rick Lake George, NY
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Isn't it ever! We look forward to hearing how it works with the bikes:) It's definitely a beautiful site for your first trip!
Give us a tour please! Would love to see layout & how it works. Thanks
Thanks for the suggestion, we will give a tour soon.
Thanks for sharing your your travels 👍 just wondering what brand of tire did you go with and what did you all do to fix all the noises Thanks!
We ended up with Michelin Agilis Cross Climates. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the info. We may go the mattress route also.
Great camera work! Show us how it looks with the both of you in your sleeping positions on that little bed. It seems pretty snug.
The sleeping arrangements are very snug for sure. We will try to show that in an upcoming video. Thanks so much for watching.
Your space usage with those ottomans was wonderful. I like the Revel concept just don't like the diesel chassis. How is the cassette toilet working?
The ottomans are a great storage solution but not very comfortable for sitting on for any period of time. Surprisingly the cassette toilet is working out well, the more we use it the more comfortable we are getting with it.
Looking mighty FINE...! Where did you find most of the "rattles" and how did you defeat them...?
We did several things to eliminate the rattles, we tightened some of the screws on the bed, we added insulation under the driver seat and under the kitchen drawers, and we packed our stuff better than the first time. However, I’m not sure which one fix what we were hearing. Thanks for the question.
Thanks for all the great tips! Can I get product details on the shampoo dispenser (assuming you still love it)? Also, how did you install it?
We couldn’t get the dispenser to stay on the wall so we are not using it. We tried two sided tape and Velcro strips, neither one worked.
Here’s a link to those in our Amazon store. www.amazon.com/dp/B07N71DDXW/?ref=exp_vantrekkinglifestyle_dp_vv_d
They setup quickly and are actually very comfortable.
I would be delighted to bump into y'all in Alaska in 2022! I'll put that in my notebook!!!
