Since I started taking Bilberry and Saffron supplements before bed, I sleep well. I also sleep on my left side. I use a humidifier and clear both sides of nasal passage before bed...and try always to be conscious of breathing through my nose not my mouth. It's working. No more waking up in the middle of the night. I also use the sound of rain TH-cam videos. Works like a charm. No more sleep apnea or crappy doctors.
Since giving up sugary deserts, I "smore no more." LOL Seriously, I've tried some of these recommendations (e.g., no eating or drinking late, left side sleep, etc.) and they DO work !
Baby’s snore, puppy’s snore. I sleep on my left side and I still snore. I occasionally drink alcohol and my last meal is about 3 hrs before bedtime. I still snore. Now weight loss is my next step.
I have sleep apnea, and I correlated it with the absence of my gallbladder that's when I started having issues. I wish someone would do a video on the hidden side effects after gallbladder removal.
Humm, my gall bladder was removed in 2007, I’d ask my doctor but the only thing she knows is how to write prescriptions, I asked her if I could get tested for allergies, she said sleep apnea has nothing to do with allergies but I’m reading on the internet that it can be caused by allergies. 🤷♀️
1. Don't sleep on your back. Sleep on your left side. 2. Lose Weight 3. Don't drink too much or eat too much late at night 4. Drink a jigger of olive oil at bed time 5. Mouth taping - don't mouth breathe 6. Sleep Apnea study
This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way. I just love learning from his simple to understand videos ... I respect this man immensely. 👍👍👍
To be honest, I've had sleep apnea for over 10 years and I've never listened to anyone who told me. But now I realized that my brain was totally affected. So I'm trying to get an appointment at the sleep lab (which is really difficult here)
Good Morning Dr. Gundry, I have a Question. When I have seen all your videos, which of your books do I still need to read to learn everything important?
My ENT said that is more the sleep apnea causing weight gain than the weight gain causing sleep apnea. I DO believe that getting a fatter neck does make things worse
About mouth taping - you don't need to completely seal your mouth for it to be effective, and you shouldn't. A piece of surgical tape on each side of your mouth, leaving about a half inch gap in the centre, works very well for me..
Sorry Dr Gundry. There is another issue that causes sleep apnea that not one doctor has ever mentioned. You need to go back to school or talk to me directly.
Wake up Dr Gundry. There is another reason why sleep apnea exists and you are clueless to understanding the cause. I could do your same podcast and be an expert. However, I'm not a doctor to have the authority to do a podcast. I've listened to multiple doctors including all your interviews and not one time have you mentioned my condition. Sorry you are not a real expert.

the best thing I ever did was fight through the adjustment of having to use a Bipap machine, it has changed my life in such a positive way

I inherited this from my grandmother, she lived very healthy and planted vegetables in her garden.

Not everybody can sleep on the side for various reasons (TMJ, unstable neck etc.). Mewing helps.
My partner is a havy snorer. What helped was taking a snuff which contained menthol.

I’ve heard the same.
Great video.
Dr Gundry, you didn't mention CPAP's, which I use because I have to. BTW, I sleep on my right side, which I am told is unusual.
A lack of thiamine can cause snoring and sleep apnea because of dysautonomia

What is it
Let us know ….. if not one doctor is talking about it going back to school won’t help …. Curious why you won’t say what it is ….

So why don't you enlighten us instead of just saying Dr. Gundry doesn't know anything.
