Meet Ella Bell, Sirpaw’s mother! Well, she was his mother for maybe a few days before abandoning him and 5 of his other siblings.
SO SOME CONTEXT!
In the world of Ayajay, new animals are born using magical fountains. The animal that is born is completely randomized, allowing a peacock to be a dog’s biological mother.
Sometimes, the fountains do weird things, and the child that is born can have odd qualities; like how Megakat, a cat, has dragon wings and can breathe fire.
These fountains are normally protected by ‘Creation Keepers’, those who tend to the fountains and ensure its powers are not abused.
But, in Serenis, a country so broken by The War that its Creation Keepers have long since disappeared, horrible animals take advantage of the fountains’ power, creating children over and over again until they get a “rare” one.
Because it is so easy to create children (all one has to do is put a drop of their blood in the fountain), these animals can amass multiple kids that they have no interest in caring for.
This is what Ella Bell did. It took her 7 attempts before she had a child that she found “desirable”. The rest of her kids, which included Sirpaw, were swiftly abandoned.
To make this all even worse, Ella Bell is rich. She only moved to Serenis to get a “rare” child, then quickly moved back to her wealthy home country to make a profit off them.
WAIT I realize the last sentence makes it sounds like she sold the kid, SHE DIDN’T (though she probably isnt above selling a child lets be honest), however she IS treating them like a circus animal and charges people to essentially just stare at them.
So uh yeah mom of the year
