Barry also got his start in the music industry at Del-Fi Records in California. The label was founded by the legendary Bob Keane, who was regarded as both a genius and a crook. Having seen how Del-Fi operated, there was NO chance of cheating Barry, because he knew the industry too well! 🤔

I remember seeing Luther in the early 90s, and that was a concert to remember. We took a bus from MD to NY to a theater that had a stage that was in the round.
Luther is a legend in music and vocals, and we love him for that we knew, and that's his personal life, and he still carried himself with class.
This was a huge loss and I never really got over this and Whitney's death either. It's been a lot of talk about unexplained death in the industry lately!

I can't imagine anyone being attracted to Clive Davis.
I hate that Luther was gay, because I don't want his soul lost forever. But that fact of his sexuality has no bearing on the great talent he was. I still play his music to this day and I have every album. No one measures up to the quality of his ballads. Luther was one in a million and will always be missed. He didn't have to cuss or talk under the clothes to make a fire ballad.
Back in 1980s till present day, record companies took these demo or blank tapes to Malaysia, Thailand or Japan to mass produce copies of songs. This is known as
" cleats ". I saw a t.v. series called Wiseguy with the main character is Kenneth Wahl who was an Justice Dept undercover agent investigating organization criminals.
