Great job. Is there any particular reason for you not using Palicoes when you're not in a party? I'm assuming the reason is that monsters are more predictable when you're their only target, but I'd like to know for sure.

its beeen a long time since I played Gen so I dont quite remember all the mechanics of HH in this game but it probably has something to do with hitting the monster with your attacks to turn all your notes into double notes.
In mhgen the Akantor horn had the best raw damage output by far from HH. 250 raw and 40 affinity was huge before g-rank horns in mhgu. Even with white sharpness and AUL song, the grimclaw horn dealt less damage in mhgen.
I'd say Razor Sharp. You'll be in Green sharpness longer with with it, though Blundgeoning improves it's already high attack by boosting it even more. I use it with Razor Sharp, but both skills are good for it. It boils down to personal preferences.
PassionFlame64 Razor Sharp ist actually way better because it allows you to stay at green sharpness if you spam absolute readiness which is really important
I made 1 experiment and if you start atacking without using the self improve combo first and instead use another combo song you can play the song + self improve, and if you encore you will encore the 2 songs. But you must attack with the complete note or it will fail.
Not well done steaks, the eating animation is too long for that unless you have speed eating, but rations, potions, might seeds, and basically anything with the standard eating animation will work.

how are you able to keep your weapon out while when you absolute evade?
Late af, but he has 2 Hunter arts. Absolute Evade and Absolute Readiness. If he is able to keep his weapon out, he is using absolute readiness

I use the full Savage jho quest for sharpness+2 and razor sharp

Cancelling the "MMMMMMMM" animation that you do whenever you eat something. Saves like a couple seconds each time.
