@@MsBrendaDee yes the sugar cut the acidity that causes heartburn and the bitterness out of the sauce. I also add it to my beans and potato salad not much only to stop the acid and the bitterness that certain ingredients put off.

I believe if you add shopped garlic with the onion and fry stew meat after and a little bit of ground kamoun spice It will taste better than what my mom and grand ma use to make. I don t prefer using lemon juice but some peoples use it and green olive to it. that is my recipe try it you will thank haven that I am here to give you my recipe.

I love using Rotel Tomatoes in my Orka I put a little sugar to cut the acidity and also uses dry shrimp sometime sausages in it.
