Best statement was Dave. If you’ve got a bike, ride it! Brilliant video as always. Nice eclectic mix of machines and yes all will do touring depending on what you want to compromise on. Cannot wait for the next.
What an excellent video to watch and well edited between the discusion and the riding shots . I came to it whilst investigating the X Cape on MSL via the link there . Interesting what you all thought about the X Cape as I'm considering this as my first step up from my 125. Four relaxed guys having a great adventure on very different bikes . Great to watch and thanks for the comments on the X Cape , I'm going to look at one soon.
Living in Sheffield I've ridden these routes for over 40 years and still enjoy (some) of them. Fond memories of the Snake and C&F back in the late 80's/early 90's with fewer DWL's and no camera traps. I find many of the routes with 50 limits and cameras a bit of a bore but I guess much depends what you're riding. Much of my riding is now on a Classic Triumph 1200 Twin on roads like Strines, a great route!👍 A ZX14R is my go to for long distance stuff but TBH, bikes like that are wasted on tight back roads and camera infested A routes so it doesn't get used much locally. There's also some GREAT off road tracks/green lanes in the PD and are a great alternative to salty wet roads in Winter on a dirt or decent dual sport bike. In fact, the PD is a bit of a playground for bikes and bikers of all types and ages! Safe riding.😀👍

Glad you enjoyed it, Mr S!

Any route maps ????
Spent most of my teenage years on those roads, FROM MANCHESTER.
Nice choice of bikes away from the mainstream GSs 😀
