This actually worked on some Kone KSS 670s (with Dewhurst) at my local Bunnings and I have to say, it worked! Also the videos come out in a few weeks so yeah that might be soon basically

there isn't really much that i can remember when it comes to otis and for kone LCE logic this is very much the main trick but schindler has a couple of chime tricks. If you look in my newest chime compilation video for lifts at Premier Inn Cockermouth and also Great North Museum Newcastle you can see the tricks for those specific models, there's a google doc linked either in the pinned comment or description there that has all the timestamps you need, both lifts are 3300s but one is the newer design and the other is the older design
Yep all LCEs should do what you see in this video unless they're set up really odd. There's one I know where it does sort of work but it only shortens the door timer slightly rather than the usual almost-instant-closing that you normally see
Interesting! At my uni there is some 2nd gen ecodiscs that have a unique door closing trick. I have never seen it work anywhere else. What happens is that if you hold the door close button when the lift is arriving at a floor, the doors will only open a tiny fraction (no more than a couple of cm) and then will instantly close. Its a pretty cool trick other than when you are waiting for the lift and someone inside does this! As the doors barely open, you cant see who is doing it! The trick in this video also works and is the one I use because that way you get enough time to see if anyone wants to use the lift and if they do you an re open the doors.
i've seen that close trick in a video by someone else actually but they said they couldn't find any other ecodiscs that do it, has it worked for you on other ecodiscs besides those ones at your uni?

It does do it with virtually all kone LCE, there's one near me that's set up a bit different where it's harder to tell if it works or not, and I haven't had the ability to test the newer KCE logic but it probably does it too

This lift had two sets of doors so there is one for each, but the floors I went to used the same set of doors so the left button was not needed in this video
It’s interesting to see these types of things with lift logics. Did you find this out yourself? I’m quite good at finding little bugs or problems in the logics which can speed things up as well. This must be some sort of bug related to the way the logic is programmed, yet is just ignored or unnoticed due to how minor it is. The Otis 2000 logic seems to be loaded with these sort of things too. Doesn’t spamming the floor button also close the doors quicker on eco discs? Does this still work if there was a call on the outside on the floor you’re stopping at? :-)
yeah i think i found this trick out myself. A trick with an OTIS 2000 near me is if you call it up then press a lower floor, if it reverses direction to down it will sometimes announce the floor you're on as it starts up

No, the video works, quite well, but I have just the finger up or down button, not that one, where I can give you a heard or something similar. No, the video is fine, it works also on my mobile.
It needs to have kone's LCE or KCE logic for it to work, if its just a generic lift with a kone logo on the panel chances are it won't have either of those and therefore it won't work

Nice to hear! All that really matters is it has kone LCE logic and it should work as seen here, so it can work on lifts with a kone mod too

i need to experiment more with KCE to see what it can do but sadly i don't see lifts with that logic enough to get a proper handle on what it can do

This has nothing to do with the model of the lift, it should work with any KONE lift with LCE logic, just letting everyone know

I’ve got Kone elevators in my apartment complex and if that’s not work I have tried

I do this to make the doors close quicker on my 4th Gen Ecodisc because it takes 13 Seconds for the doors to start closing!
13 seconds? that seems a bit long for any lift, especially a kone!
