- In diesem Videos geht es um den Wechsel von Stoßdämpfern. Genauer gesagt um den Wechsel der vorderen Stoßdämpfer gegen BILSTEIN B6 Hochleistungsdämpfer bei einem VW Passat Variant. Wie üblich sollte man vor allem beim Trennen von Stoßdämpfer und Feder vorsichtig arbeiten, da erhebliche Verletzungsgefahr besteht.

@@Die-Profi-Schrauber super arbeit😂, kann man mir sagen ob ich den bilstein B6, aber mit original federn, am vw polo 9n3 2006 einbauen kann?? Ist das legal oder bekomme ich Probleme mit den Behörden??

Ich habe beim Golf 5 Gti KAW Tieferlegungsfedern drin. Jetzt sind die Stoßdämpfer fällig. Wäre B6 jetzt schon zu hart und zu sportlich? Genügen die B4 somit auch? Besten Dank und tolles Video.
Der B4 Dämpfer hat die Kennlinie vom Original Dämpfer. Wenn du damit zufrieden bist und gut gefahren bist, dann belass es bei dem B4. Wenn dir das Fahrwerk oder das Fahrverhalten noch etwas zu unsportlich ist, dann kannst du gerne auch die B6 Dämpfer nehmen. Bedenke aber bitte das dir das Setup auch im normalen Betrieb, auf dem Weg zur Arbeit oder auch in den Urlaub passen muss.

mal eine Frage, warum erwähnt Ihr nie mit wieviel Drehmoment Ihr die Schrauben und Muttern zuschraubt, das wäre für Hobbyschrauber die mit Drehmoment arbeiten hilfreich?!
Wir geben die empfohlenen Drehmomente in den Videos meistens nicht an, weil sich Herstellervorgaben immer nochmal nachträglich ändern können. Und wir wollen nachher nicht schuld sein, wenn jemandem eine Schraube abreißt 😉
Dazu kannst du aber die Werkstatt deines Vertrauens fragen (falls du im Raum Berlin lebst, gerne auch direkt bei uns: www.kfzteile24.de/werkstaetten-filialen). Und meistens findest du die Werte auch relativ einfach im Internet 🙂

If you take the drive shaft out of the wheel bearing, you have the clearance to take the suspension strut out.
Hello at 12:00 when you add the strut bearing do you add anything additional to catch the gap. Mine is done without fitting and now I hear constant knocking. We refitted and the knocking sound remained. At the top of the shockabsorber something must be put to clear the gap with the strut mount. Otherwise it plays with knocking sound - very annoying.
On top of the shockabsorber you have to mount the bearing it self and the ball bearing which is located directly under the strut bearing. So you have to assemble 2 parts on top. First the ball bearing, directly on top of it the strut bearing and screw everything together with the screw nut. Thats is.
I contacted Bilstein and they advised the two arrows on the strut mound should face the direction of forward driving, while in the video you show one arrow directs to front of the car and the other to the rear end of the car, please clarify?
Unfortunately after refitting the shocks 2 times the knocking sound during drive did not disappear. I visited the official VW dealership from where I bought the car. They examined the car and said the original strut bearings are not compatible with Bilstein B6 shocks and confirmed this being rhe reason for the knocking sound.
Ok, after further contacts with Bilstein, they advised that when mounting the strut bearing the top end of the spring should be alligned with the notch of the strut bearings, otherwise the spring will break the plastic bearings. I have 3 strut bearings broken that way. In the video you did not alling it? At 09:29 in the video, you may see that the original assembly is alligned, but when reassembled it is kind of random?
Ich bin gerade total Ratlos. Könnt ihr vielleicht sagen warum nach dem Stoßdämpferwechsel vorne bei mir der Wagen auf einmal ca. 3cm höher liegt ? Echt katastrophal 😢.
Die Fahrzeughöhe wird hauptsächlich durch die Federn bestimmt. Der Dämpfer hat nur Schwingung dämpfende Aufgaben. Prüfe also die Feder, wurde diese auch ersetzt? Ist alles korrekt zusammengebaut? Feder liegt korrekt und auch das Domlager ist korrekt montiert?
@@Die-Profi-Schrauber Federn sind die alten. Laut dem Kfz Mensch alles korrekt eingebaut.

That is a good question. You might definetly not install the Bilstein B6 which is shown in the video. Because this is a more sport shock absorber.
I have it on passat b8 1.4tsi and Bilstein B6 is much more responsive and comfortable gliding than Sachs. On Passat B7 I prefer Sachs, as Bilstein B6 is rock hard there. If you have passat B8 go and change directly to Bilstein B6, but if own Passat B7 I would not do it again - the ride is rock hard.

Wenn man nur die Stoßdämpfer wechselt sollte sich die Höhe des Fahrzeugs eigentlich nicht ändern. Die Fahrwerkshöhe wird fast ausschließlich durch die Fahrwerksfedern beeinflußt. Oft steht das Auto im ersten Moment relativ hochbeinig dar. Nach einer Probefahrt sollte sich das Fahrwerk gesetzt haben und die korrekte Fahrwerkshöhe haben.

Hätte man gleich neue Domlager nehmen können da der Aufwand sehr hoch ist und der deutliche straffere Bilstein B6 Stoßdämpfer das alte Domlager höher belastet 😅
Manchmal sind auch wir geneigt etwas kostenoptimiert zu arbeiten. Der Kunde meinte das die Domlager mit den neuen Federn bereits erneuert wurden und wollte die alten Domlager behalten.
I did the conversion on Passat B8 limo and the feel with Bilstein B6 is outstanding in cornering and great ride comfort (not like with Passat B7 - where the ride is much stiffer). However the strut mount does not fit 100% with Bilstein B6 and I started hearing a lot of sqeezing sounds on the highway - looking how to solve that problem.
Also das lösen und festziehen von der Koppelstange ist absolut widersprüchlich. Beim lösen schön den Kugelkopf mit der Ratsche drehen und beim festziehen drauf achten, dass der Kugelkopf sich nicht mitdreht. :D Wäre die Koppelstange neugekommen wäre die Vorgehensweise so richtig. Aber nicht bei der Gebrauchten. Sonst gutes Video.
