It's evident that of ALL the projects Danny has completed, this Farmall has been his dreamiest. Men and their productive toys are amazing when it is put to its fullest use. I smile each time I see the "completion" face on Danny

I threw some store bought sweet taters in a shallow tub last year and it grew slips like crazy. Was too late in the season to plant them but just an experiment I did to see. I'm new to gardening but getting the hang of it. Sure wish I paid more attention with my grandpa.

Up north here in zone 4 we planned on planting sweet potatoes for the first time this year since our Amish neighbors gave us some of their homegrown taters. Right now we're about 7-weeks before our last frost and I planted 3 of them in a 6-inch deep container today and have them in my grow room. Keeping my figers crossed that this works for us! Thanks for the knowledge Danny and Wanda!

My slips are doing great! They are in shallow Walmart totes. I wish I could post a picture here. I’m sure I will be transplanting some into grow bags this weekend. I have Irish potatoes in the ground where my sweet potatoes usually go. But I have so many slips I’m just going to put them wherever I have the extra space! Can’t have too many sweet taters. Love y’all’s videos. Since I don’t have anyone to teach me these things you guys have really taught me a lot of stuff about growing vegetables. I’m a nurse so I work full time but I have managed to grow 90% of our vegetables on about a one acre yard that includes my house. Thanks for being such an inspiration!

Was very glad to finally get your Sweet Potato Manual. That's evidence I'm going to be very serious about growing sweet potatoes this year. Great resource to have for those who want sweet potatoes and don't find growing them as intuitive as we'd like. I like the straightforward process steps and pictures to go with the steps. Good video help on this podcast as well, thanks!

I started my slips back in December (I’m in zone 7B) and have some real beauties!. I am multiply handicapped and do all my ‘farming’ on my back porch and front porch. My slips will probably go into grow bags the beginning of May. Last year I grew a few as an experiment, and boy was I ever surprised! They are the easiest veggies to grow! Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos. I learn so much from you.

I,m in New Hampshire and I bought a big scarlet sweet potato and put it in a jar with water by the window , it is doing incredibly well , I have picked off about 8 long vines and put them in water and they have a lot of roots growing and the potato is still growing slips 😮😮😮, I got it locally grown so maybe that helped because this is the first time it has worked for me

Growing food for animals is going to be more important in the future as supplies shrink and prices rise.
I found a willow tree the other day and I took some cuttings off of it.
I am rooting about 20 cuttings.
I fed the rabbit the trimmings and she took right too them.
My mullberry tree has lots of berries this year. I should have pruned and shaped it and fed the trimmings to the animals but the best time of year to do that slipped by me.
I think fodder trees have a lot of potential for the small farmer.
What other trees make good animal feed?
    Thanks for all you do.

Mr Danny what is a good length to pick your slips. I’m sure you don’t want to pick one too short. I have 1 that needs to be pulled it’s over a foot long but the others are only a few inches long. My weather had been unseasonably cold up here in Taxachusettes and they aren’t ready to put in anyway. I am growing slips from sweet potatoes that I grew last year so I know they will grow.

I really would love to plant anything outside right now. The planting bug had bit. We just had a 3 day snow storm and the high today is supposed to be around 31. I usually wait until my fall planted garlic is 2-3 inches tall to plant my cool weather crops. I'm wondering if we'll ever warm up this year. The ground is still frozen solid

Thank you Danny for the information and encouragement. I pray that more and more of Gods people open their eyes and do what they can to help face the up coming days, weeks, months, years…. Gods people need to be praying for our great nation, that it will once again be known as “One Nation under God” we have lost our way and allowed Satan to get a foot hold on our nation and it’s people. 😢

As always another great video! I absolutely love sweet potatoes I've never tried to grow any. For some reason tear my stomach up do not know why. It could be because they have so much fiber in them? I know y'all eat a lot of them. I'm going to try to grow some this year. I agree with you Farmall Cub in my book is a number one tractor I would love to have one. Yours is absolutely beautiful. Thank you both for sharing all your knowledge! If you have any idea why sweet potatoes tear my stomach up let me know please

Good Morning, so you answered my question, I stored my sweets in the master bath that is bare walls and it was extremely cold and dark, now I know why some of mine rotted in my Walmart tub. I did get about 15 slips off just two sweets.
