Although you don't appear to respond to comments even when people say thanks, I will mention two things you (kinda) got wrong: In the task bar, rhe number of (standard apps) can in fact be more than 8. You simply create a folder. Also, the features of flex mode are not exclusive to z fold 5. Samsung gave the same features to older folds too. Other than that, nice vid.
@GusHayabusa I definitely respond to as many comments as I can. But I have a family and if I responded to every comment I'd have no time with them... As for your corrections, I'm certain I said for now it's exclusive to the fold5 in relation to flex mode panel. As this video was made before OneUI 5.1.1 went to the other folds. For Taskbar, it's limited to 8 slots, so yes, you can create a folder (or an app Pairing like I demonstrated), but it will not increase the amount of permament slots available.
@techwithbenefits Dude! Don't get all worked up and more important, it's OK to be wrong or to not have said something in the right way. 1) In here as you can understand, we don't examine the "family" aspect of a reviewer but what makes him/her better or worse than others and if he/she are worth watching again. 2) If you go to 11:36 of your own vid, you will see that you said "specific for Fold 5" without using any "for now" phrase. That's OK too. Now ofcourse you know that these features are not "specific". Don't get excited! Oh and 3) If you go again to 6:06 you are clearly saying you can't have any more apps on the task bar; Absolutely no discussion about slots. Again it's OK! The point of comments such as mine is to clarify a few points that aren't "accurate" so inexperienced users don't get the wrong idea. It's OK to be wrong (or inaccurate). We all are at times. And remember: it's not what you know (especially after someone corrects you) but what you originally present and say when you create a review. I still think the vid was fine 😉 Take care
This video is about the top 5 ways to multitask on the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Here are the key points: * The S Pen is a separate accessory that can be used with the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It can be used to take notes, write on the screen off memo, and sign documents. * The taskbar is a permanent dock that sits at the bottom of the screen to help you quickly jump back and forth between your most used apps. You can customize the taskbar to include up to four of your favorite apps. * Multi-window multitasking allows you to run three apps at the same time. You can easily activate multi-window by swiping two fingers from the sides of the screen. * App pairing allows you to launch two or three apps together in multi-window mode. You can create app pairings and store them in the taskbar for easy access. * Flex mode is a feature that optimizes apps for the half-folded state of the phone. When the phone is in Flex mode, you can use the bottom half of the screen as a trackpad or to launch another app. Flex mode is especially useful for content creators who can use it as a tripod.
Wow good to hear a Aussie accent on the phone review. Thanks so much, I have the Z Fold 3..might change to the 5 eventually..great review thank you 👍👏👏👏❤️
I went from iphone to S22U, to Z Fold 4, to S23U and now back to Z Fold 5. This many "upgrades" was a really dumb idea. However, I got a taste of both worlds and I have to say, I will stick with Fold. Something about Fold makes it very futuristic and honestly there isnt much of a difference between the 4 and the 5.
Thank you so much, this was super helpful! I could not find out how to do this on my own and Samsung did not make it very clear on their website. So your video was a lifesaver!
I really keen to switch to Z Fold 5, but there are 2 features that I need are not available. 1. S Pen air actions. If the S Pen that is built into the case has this feature, that will be great for me. I have been using Modes and Routines to customize the S Pen air actions. 2. Having S Pen writing on the cover screen. I understand that most people will say the cover screen is too narrow for writing. However, for my user instances, there are a lot of time that I need to take a short note in hurry. For example, when I need to take a short note while talking over the phone. I guess I am in the minority that most people are not on the same boat with me. My change is slim.
I still dont understand why were limited to 3 why can't they give us 4 split screen grid view if we could open 2 apps of both sides i don't see why we can't run then simultaneously both sides 2×2 windows upto 4 apps
@igot5onit423 it's not a fold related feature it's a software limitation that they could just bring to one ui 6 final release. Realistically, the tab s series should've gotten the feature 1ˢᵗ in fact, the tab s9 ultra is capable enough to do even 3×2. They should bring 4 app split screen to the galaxy zfold and 6 app split screen to the tab s9 and s9+, and the ultra is big enough for even 8.
@nickthaskater could u please stop telling me floating windows? I know this enough times, and I clearly want them to bring a real 4 app split screen. The limitation of 3 doesn't make sense, and instead of showing you 4 recent app just highlight the apps on taskbar that are opened like a desktop operating system and allow us to have 3 apps horizontally or vertically, if they implement they, then they are ahead of desktop when it comes to multitasking even desktop doesn't have drag and drop and hopefully with windows 12 they will copy android and bring dual screen drag and drop and we'll as allowing us to drag and drop from the apps pinned on taskbar to pip or split screen and bringing a proper pin whatever you want and being able to drag and drop that to where ever is a welcome.

Depends on what you feel you're missing. The software features will likely make their way to the Fold4. The only things you won't get are the updated ISP for camera optimization, better performance from the SD 8 Gen2 for Galaxy and refined hardware with the new hinge, lighter weight and brighter displays.
Apologies there was an error in the pricing link they provided me that was picked up on after uploading. The price is however in the links provided in the top comment and description!
There is only one proper way and thats connected to a portable monitor or using the fold inner screen as a monitor and running xfce desktop and a debian proot with termux.
First of all, don't be foolish. Samsung definitely can add the S Pen into the making of the Samsung Galaxy Fold they just choose not to. Why? Because they know they can make extra money not giving it to you, and the consumers are still going to pay that high price for a phone that doesn't even come with a charger. Samsung has learned, like Apple, that Americans are easy to manipulate, and giving them less for more money is a profit for the company and that Americans don't mind at all because they continue to support these companies. Just like everyone was saying, Samsung couldn't make the screen bigger on the flip because of the battery and people just accepted it. But then Motorola said, "Hold on, it can be done then Samsung got off their lazy asses and made it happen, So stop thinking Samsung can't put the S Pen in the fold and even make it a little wider. Hell, they just made it close all the way so it can be done. They question is when will the consumers will demand it. Stop giving the consumers updates on a new folding phone and give up a real upgrade.
Hmm I think you are grossly over estimating the R&D and Engineering it takes to make folding phones without sacrificing the core smartphone experience (IPX8, Camera quality, durability, weight, wireless charging). Some companies have engineered good folding phone designs but have sacrificed one or all of those to achieve their design. What Samsung is focusing on now is foldable software optimisation and performance improvements. They are refining the design where they can and making strides to achieve a design. Samsung have just realised it's not a race to the finish line anymore. They don't need to sprint, it's a marathon race and they are building into it. The S Pen will make its way inside, they have already developed prototype designs to that effect. Just exhibit patience and it'll get there.
I'd get the Z Fold but the far worse cameras (especially the selfie ones) and the higher price tag make it an absolute no no. Owning a tablet and an s23u makes far more sense
I do get that take. But there is a benefit to the Fold camera set up that the ultra doesn't give you. I'm doing a full fold5 camera breakdown in 2 weeks. Give it a watch and I'd love to know your thoughts!
Not interested in this totally overpriced and bad form factor phone. It does nothing more that the S23 does. It's facing side is too tall and not wide enough, the openned full screen has a very visible separation, plus it take time to open or close it, cumbersome. Not interesting and ridiculously expensive.
I tried both for a month because I loved my s23ultra but at the end of the day I started using the fold 4 more (now I have the 5) never thought I would prefer another phone but for me the Fold5 is more enjoyable and really boost my productivity.

A. 4K DeX
B. Return of Linux on DeX
C. Affordable.

Yeah point number one about Air Actions is only on the S Pen Pro, which is compatible with Fold5 but it is a little bigger 😅
