well, yes, however if you think about it, most planets wouldn't even be suitable for a colony, maybe mining for resources, and a habitable world (non colony, straight up population on the planet) wouldn't be all that easy to find, even if you account for all the possible ways life may evolve and need to thrive, as well as the fact that most of the planets we found that are "earth like" still very possibly don't have many things that happen on earth, so if you think about it, if life were to evolve on a world where there are no storms, no earthquakes, no volcanoes, the sun isn't non stop trying to fry the planet, and the planet doesn't go trough seasons of extreme hot & cold, while the apex predator on that world would be equivalent to a common house cat, you could see why the notion of going onto a planet like earth would be terrifying to a being from that kind of world + you do have to account for different mental capacities and such, cultures, and even the very principle of which life is structured may be different, and some things may just be so far beyond comprehension for one thing, that the other just doesn't have to think about it for example, there was a massive extinction due to a sudden spike in oxygen levels in the earth's atmosphere, the beings killed then (if they were "sentient" and still alive) very possibly couldn't even imagine how a creature can breathe oxygen in such high levels that to themselves are deadly
