- This video is of the western painted turtle (Chrysemys picta bellii) This a juvenile was found in south-central BC. Relatively common speices throughout it's range: in canada it's found through southern british columbia, alberta, saskatchewan, manitoba, and ontario. Watch in HD!
totally dude, they're definitely very attractive turtles. i always see piles of them on logs during the summer, sometimes along with other species, which is always a wonderful thing to see :)

i have a painted turtle i found it. Where i live theres alot of different types for turtles they roam all over the place so cute when their babies

Don't put turtles upside down. They can die since their lungs are on the bottom of the shell and under their lungs is their organs. So if you put a turtle upside down, their organs are pressing against their lungs, which makes it hard to breathe.

near by my house I have a pond and it had a lot of painted turtles like that size and smaller!

Hatchlings are about the size of a 5 cent coin.
I found one at m camp up on a path away from the beach so me and my friends thought a bird dropped it and it was the size of 2 quarters
They are easy to catch when they are baby's
This guy was from the interior, I've yet to discover any from the pacific coast population, I'm always looking though.

What do you feed them are they vegetarians /meateaters or both?
I have 1 who looks just like that except clean and smaller and I'm getting 2 more tomorrow who look the same.

Don't put turtles on they're backs because they can die out of stress I know because I have 18 turtles and I take care of them.
