    Hopefully y’all enjoyed todays video of me installing the RPM Powered R400 Turbokit!
    A few things to note about my setup with this kit.
    1. My car has stock internals temporarily, so I won’t be turning up the boost like crazy.
    2. Stock fueling still 🙃
    3. Stock Intercooler, car will have a hefty gain once I install a quality one!
    4. No boost controller currently. Still figuring out what route I’m going to go before I commit to anything!
    Big thanks to Mini to-be for supporting me! Check out his services on his Facebook page!

Ich habe den Endschalldämpfer gewechselt. Habe jetzt einen von inoxcar dran und der mittelschalldämpfer von Ragazzon. Edelstahl downpipe. Auspuffanlage ab Turbolader in Edelstahl 😊 your Mini Sounds good. In der Nacht als du da rechts vorbeifahren tust dieser Sound ist einfach nur Gänsehaut 😍 i can hear this Sound 24-7😅 ehrlich ich könnte auf Arbeit usw den ganzen Tag diesen Motorsound mir anhören 😅 einfach nur eine Furie ! you mentioned stock fueling ECT, how did you manage the ECU? since you have completely eliminated the stock pressure monitoring/saftey systems (DV, internal wastegate ECT) did you have a tuner map out the boost plausibility error codes?. the car sounds awsome with that turbo and mani setup. love it! im hoping to do internals in my R56 in 2024 to look at a bigger turbo setup.

    • @zevisgarage
      @zevisgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      It was actually still mapped on a previous tune for a stock style turbo at the time this was filmed. It didn’t have any issues but once I cleared codes then it was trying to go into limp mode for not being able to control boost.
      Awaiting smog then will be getting it tuned correctly

    I thought that for a Turbo charger replacement you had to put it « Front Service » mode. Take off the whole front bumper, grill, and tires. But I see that you were able to get turbo and manifold? Off without taking the front off. How long, how much did you pay for parts, and how much would that cost at the stealership? If you know of course. I live near San Francisco CA. Do you have any mechanic contacts that will save me some dough and could advise on easy upgrades? Thanks.

    • @zevisgarage
      @zevisgarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@arturothecook most people prefer to put it into service mode for more room but isn’t needed, especially with a stock turbo. No need to remove tires and all. This is a full after market kit, the dealer would never install this, you would need a private shop.
      I do recommend getting the R300 turbocharger and an upgraded intercooler, and a tune from Mario Palza. If you end up in socal drop it off at his place and he can sort you with what you need

      @@zevisgarage I need to replace the stock that Mini of Concord CA. reported as bad and in need to replace but I almost got a heart attach when they told me that it would be 10K to do it!!! Yet, I was not feeling comfortable with going full front disassembly mode. If it can be done without it. I will get the mechanic friend to help me replace it. He's work in a couple of our Mercedes-B cars before. I reviewed another YT video showing the hole process in detail almost bolt by bolt and got a little discourage that it required so many parts taking off. Thanks for your videos. Very educational and encouraging to venture on some of the easy ones. What OBD2 scanner do you use? or which one would you recommend for a non-mechanicly gifted and inexperience mini owner?

    How much power do you think it was making in this videos with no controller ? I would honestly be more than happy with this turnout. No need to up the boost if the internals are reliable at that hp for me personally. Also how much did you spend on this ? I did some research and I found the kit for 4.3k

    • @zevisgarage
      @zevisgarage  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@morechuckyblood the R400TS is around that 4500 range. The original R400 kit like the one I have is around 7k new if you pay full price. It definitely made nice power but shortly after filming I turned down the boost to make sure stock internals would survive. I’m pretty sure it would last at the 18ish psi I was targeting before.
      As of about a month ago I’ve now forged the engine and am almost done with break in, about 1 more week before I turn the boost up
