You posted yourself wobbling a bit and losing your balance. You explained that you weren't able to do it everyday. You let us viewers know you made dietary changes, and not just walked to lose weight while making no other changes.
You are creating the type of fitness journey videos that we need. This video is inspiring because it promotes realism. Thank you!
I am glad you appreciate my transparency!
@@TheChristopherFam
👍🏿So do I and thank you for being so. Wishing you continued success on your health journey. Take care.✌🏿
I agree! This is wonderful.
Yaaas! I do think some of the weight loss vids are suspect when people skip details and just show before and after pics ... Some people say it's all natural but be having surgeries and what not
The balance part is why I couldn't do this. I need something to hold onto
You did really well! 14lbs in a month that is excellent!
🥰🥰🥰
Keep going sis you got this 😊
@@TheChristopherFamSis where did you get your walking pad from? Great work
I need to lose 20 lbs, and it's the hardest thing. I think my harmones are wonky!😅 I have a plant based diet. I've also know that my muscle mass is greater than my body fat, but I was skinny. Now everything is fluffed. 😂 I weigh 165 lbs. I mostly eat vegetables and fruits. Maybe I should just lift weights because I sweat like a horse at my job while working. Some months, my belly looks like I'm eight months pregnant, and some months, it looks like my belly is losing weight. I eat 1-2 times a day and small portions, and I would fast as well.
Right at the beginning of 2021 I committed to doing 10,000 steps per day rain or shine. Didn’t lose any weight but felt wonderful
THIS is the kind of fitness content we need to see! Real people being honest and vulnerable, putting their best foot forward. It's MUCH more inspiring than fitness influencers whose job involves nonstop exercise.
🥰💜🥰💜
Thank you
Exactly 🎯
I'm a runner and was 242 lb. I never thought about the point of having something inside the house for consistency. I always avoided it because I thought it was silly not to take advantage of free workout materials. This is fantastic. Congratulations
These are great, I have one. I used it everyday but still get 10,000 steps outside too. Sometimes I just jump on and run for 10 mins when I have spare time. They go up 8kph
I don't even know her but I'm so proud of her. Keep it up. You got this. 😊
Thank you, I will
Right! I love seeing stuff like this.
Super proud 😊
Me too, great job. 👍 😊❤
I just thought this. But being healthy is so important and doing it the right way so it stays off… golden. You go girl. Good luck on the rest of your journey. 👏🏾👏🏾
I bought a walking pad a week ago and started walking 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. Feeling good each time.
Love to hear it!
I love that, am and pm. You are on your way!
Where can i buy one of those
@@user-ze9wx2ym3dI recently purchased one on Amazon
That’s a great plan. Walking 1st thing in the morning before coffee before using the bathroom before brushing your teeth, will jump start your metabolism and give u amazing energy and burns belly fat better than running.
Also try to eat your 1st meal after 12noon. Keep up the great work 👍🏽!!! Consistency is the key not speed and not even length of time. Just do it daily to be healthy!!! 🙏🏽
You've motivated me to purchase a walking pad, and you're very right about the consistency. Yes, I can walk outside, but sometimes I don't wanna bother dressing up to just go outside, and sometimes my walks take me far and the idea of walking back is miserable. With a walking pad, I'm already home, and I can stop when tired. Thank you so much.
You can do it!
What is the name of the device?@@TheChristopherFam
Agreed! The walk back is a turn off
Love mine does work
I’m so very proud of you!! Many people underestimate the power of walking, hydration, and eating well, and as you stated- CONSISTENCY. Keep on Keeping on!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽
So true!
This was a perfect example of how consistency and the comfort of your own home in your own comfortable surroundings can still be as effective as going to the gym.
💯👍
@@toneys4458 As long as you aren’t living in one room.
That’s impressive! The weight loss, but even more, showing up every day and being consistent. That’s not easy. Congratulations.
Thank you so much!
Facts!
Consistency is the most important part!
And that daily exercise will give all kinds of other benefits besides weight loss too. Heart health, bone density, sleeping better...
14 lbs in a month is INCREDIBLE progress! Well done, you should be proud of yourself. Thanks for sharing your fitness journey with us!
Thank you so much!!
I started walking consistently in June 2023 and I was 230 pounds. I’m 159 pounds now and let me tell you:
God it was hard, there were times I was lowkey $uic1dal from how tired and helpless I felt sometimes.
Thank you for being so real because there were were a LOT of days I said “F it” and didn’t workout and days I went way slower than usual
You, my friend, are inspirational!
So glad that I came upon this, I also love to walk I try to do 2miles every day, and you're right some days it's hard to get going, just keep on pushing ladies
This is beautiful. I lost 35lbs last year just from walking and managing my diet. Walking is a wonderful, easy way to lose weight.
Love this!
@@texas4648compared to other work outs it is easy, it's literally the bare minimum if you are able bodied. It just walking. If you're not losing weight and don't have a chronic condition (frustrating but doctors are wrong sometimes second opinions are always best) managing your diet (don't restrict, just add on to your meals add more fiber and more protein and try to lower the fat content and empty calories that don't provide nutrition during meals) and adding something apart from cardio like weights or even just running will help 5k steps per day can be considered sedentary for most adults if you have extra time (hard in this economy with so much time being fir working and for busy mothers😢) I'd say to double it 10k steps per day really makes a difference but start slow aim for 6 then 7 and slowly Amp it up. It's possible and gets easier and easier as you go. It's definitely discouraging especially if you don't manage your expectations. Just be realistic and take baby steps after years and years I've finally made a habit of going to the gym at least 3 or 4 times a week. Took me 1 month of not quitting and telling myself I wouldn't see results until month 2. After 2 months of going I noticed less wheezing and coughing, after 3 months my legs look so much more fit and I can do things I couldn't before 🎉 I look forward to it now. You got this
@@texas4648did you watched your diet??
Sometimes walking is not enough. You need to add some muscle by using weights. Muscle burns fat.
@@texas4648 You also have to manage your diet properly. If you eat more calories than you use, you'll either gain weight or your weight won't change. Even if you're predisposed to being heavier, you well lose some weight if you're consuming less than you use. It's that simple.
Not only are you losing weight but your body is gaining all kinds of benefits. You are a role model.
FACTS!!!!!
My whole heart dropped when she stumbled. If you've never had that moment on a treadmill where you thought it was all over, you can't hang with us.
And good work!!
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Keep it up 👏👏. I walked for 15 months straight and lost 70lb. I have maintained for 3 years now walking 3-4 days per week.
Wow. That’s amazing. How were you eating?
How long? Fast or slow ?
Good job 🎉👍 I lost 55lb in 3 months just by walking and only in taking 1300 calories a day! Keep up the good work!
I LOVE this ❤
Wow 1300 calories! You must be very short. I'm 5'11 so even at my goal weight I should eat at least 1900 calories
@@PhillyMunayI’m 5’8 nutritionist told me I need to do 1300-1800 per day/ I’m gonna strive for 1500!! Starting tmrw!
@@PhillyMunay I’m actually 5’6” and bottom heavy so 1300 calories is perfect for me!😊🙏🏽❤️
You can lose weight without any exercise at all, as long as you're in a calorie deficit.
I wouldn't attribute your weight loss to "just walking" when you were eating a very small amount of calories.
I love that the perks of this device are being explained more. I was watching a video the other day where the girl started her walking journey by using this while reading and she was told in the comments she was fat and lazy for not going outside?!? Like...?
You did it and it worked for you and that is amazing. Considering one for myself now since I get sick in the sun!
😊😃😀
I get sick in the sun also! I bought a walking pad about 2 weeks ago. Love it
I used to think I would only be able to lose weight with high intensity training like running. But went on a walk for an hour a day for two days now and I need a day to rest. Walking is so underrated but so effective. Keep it up girl!! 💖
💜🥰💜🥰
I started walking 30 minutes with my dog every day for the past 9 months and have gone from ~235 at my heaviest to ~194 lbs. What's also helped is being properly medicated for my adhd, which made me stop eating out of boredom and eat only when I'm hungry. Listening to my body has become a lot clearer since I made these changes :)
Love it!
I eat a lot when I’m bored too 😭 or when I’m feeling lonely
Respect. 14lbs in a month is beyond excellent
I love this so much! I admire how much dedication you have to dedicate an hour a day to being stronger. You’re doing amazing
Thank you so much!!
Keep going Keep going! Your consistency is so inspiring. That is the only reason we fail, cause we quit. Thanks for sharing🙏🏾

Walking is underrated. Walking is helping me slim down
I bought a walking pad 2 years ago. I went flying into a table, haven't touched it since. I'm going to pull it out. You've inspired me.
Slow and steady to start!
😂😂. You got this sis!!
lol I’m gonna get one. Thanks for the motivation because I looooooove to walk outside but I need consistency as she said!

Walking pads/mini treadmill are brilliant for convenience, parents at home, those you cannot go out for many reasons, anxiety, dark morning/evenings etc. I have just bought one and I'm happy with it. Paid a little extra for mine as I wanted the one with the larger weight capacity. Seeing your progress has motivated me. I have a bad knee so why can't walk outside for long periods. The walking pad is convenient for me. I put on my trainers and walk in my pjs, it doesnt matter😂. Well done to you. 👏🏾
Thanks for that review! I'm going to look into getting one thanks to you and this great sister in the video!
What walking pad did you decide to go with?
What walking pad did u choose?? Please leave a link or name of the walking pad..I would greatly appreciate it 😊

Walking is my favorite part of the day! It makes it easier to stay consistent if u listen to a good audiobook or watch a movie while walking 👌

I dont like the uneven sidewalks or having to be on guard for any & everything so this is a PERFECT idea. 🎉OMG thanks 😊 ❤
Lol, that's why I don't walk in my neighborhood.😂 I'm always on guard from pets to bad drivers and people so much safer walking indoors on this! ❤
I walk at Walmart. Even track, good "weather" no dogs to worry over. 😁 works for me.
And you're not far from home if there is any kind of emergency!
@@22lyric at walmart I am surrounded by people who will help me if I have a fall, etc. Works for me.
You all got sidewalks???! My town is all stroad. No sidewalk in site. Any that is there is uneven and being lifted by a tree. Or is only in front of a few homes then it stops.
Yep, I'm saving up for a walking pad, too. I live in a hot, humid climate (90 degrees at 6am) in a rural area where there are a lot of stray dogs. Impossible to get a stress-relieving nature walk😅

Thank you for sharing your experience on the walking pad. I was nearly impressed with some of the tips that you had but your resilience you are beautiful inside and out and I wish you nothing but blessings on your health journey.
Very inspirational. Ty for sharing. I can't wait to get my treadmill.
You are doing fabulously ❤ So proud of you. Last May I weighed 285 and I was miserable. Today I’m at 200. Just can’t seem to break the barrier to get below 200. I’ll not give up.
