Thanks for the comment. Yes I agree, Firefox seems to work better for some reason.. Sometimes the sync process just stops in Chrome. It should usually work when redoing the whole process though.
When I load my bookmarks from my saved HTML file.. it loads but not the last 2 years! it shows on the bookmark manager.. Imported (1) Imported (2) up to 7. I click to open it but it just shows bookmarks bar, just now it said open all 45 , so I did that. but there are 2 years worth of bookmarks i am not seeing. 2022 and 2023 are missing. why did they not load? I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. Now I will say.. this is a NEW PC, HP OMAN 45 L , But the computer before that, which I took back for issues, it did the same exact thing and another lemon computer before that, did the same exact way. I am baffled.. why did it only load my bookmarks up to 2021, a little from 2022 but where is all the rest of them? Thanks for any help and or advice thank you !
Mh that is indeed a bit strange. Have you checked that the HTML file contains the bookmarks that seem to be missing when you import them? Another solution that you could maybe try is to split the HTML file into smaller, individual once and upload them?
I wonder, the bookmarks are very large. could it be its TOO large? I noticed it happened on the last 2 computers I tried..but I took those computers back to best buy when they were not working like I wanted. this HP Oman is doing very good. how do I split the HTML file into smaller ones? Very clear thank you. I assume this method will maintain the chronological order the bookmarks were saved in? As opposed to automatically sorting them alphabetically for example.
I just want to know why this is necessary. Why is it that when I log into my chrome account on another computer my bookmarks aren't just there. What is the point of having an account if it doesn't not give you access to these things across multiple devices automatically. Why can't things just... work 😤

Yes you assume correctly. The bookmarks get saved/imported in exactly the same order as you originally had them in your browser.
