The Newsboy statue is actually Red Skelton. He used to sell newspapers on the street when he was a boy.

I'm from Vincennes and I feel you did us justice. I love it here and especially our history. Too bad you missed the Harrison mansion and French houses. I could go on. Lol

Great video. Used to work across the river, town of Lawrenceville for a short while. Vincennes was the place to lodge for a few days. 2nd Street pizza was a good treat at night.

Most impressive! I grew up around Vincennes. I currently live a half-hour from here. Indeed quite historical.

9:50 you’re looking directly at the Pantheon theater, it’s still there and recently restored.

I was born in Vincenness. I grew up nearby in Bicknell, Indiana (Just north of Vincennes, also in Knox County.) Unlike Vincenness, Bicknell is a grim, dying coal mining town.

80,000? People? Probably not. You should try Bobe's Pizza. Also- never knew about the fleur de lis.

You hit the highlights, but missed the mark on so many other details of Vincennes, some of which you walked right by. If you are ever in Vincennes again, let me know and I’ll walk with you and bowl you over with details of this great city.

I think Clarksville is actually older although I think it was still a settlement when Vincennes became a town via the fort that was there

Definitely not 80,000 people, more like 25,000
