Great video, thank you! Just bought this exact setup. Bose TV Speaker + the Bose Bass module 700. Hits hard with the 700’s bass! You’re right, this little soundbar sounds extremely crisp. With the added 700 module this is a great option for those with the $1000.00 or barely over, budget. Only “issue” is that even though the subwoofer hits hard I still want the option to adjust the gain or bass levels via the Bose Music app….which is a requirement to do so. Boss’s customer support confirmed that the app won’t connect or find the Bose TV Speaker however, so don’t even try yet, but they did take the feedback and agreed it’s something they should look into. Not really too big of a deal since the sound and bass are still fantastic but it would be nice to have the Bose Music app updated with this soundbar.

Honestly for your $1000/budget I would’ve gotten the Bose Smart Sound 900 for like $900… has more than enough bass and probably the best Atmos all in one soundbar. Bose used to have issues with high/low but they’ve really stepped up their game with technology and retained that Bose build quality. I’m disappointed you need WiFi with the Bose smart sound soundbars 300/700/900 because the internet where I live (Spectrum) is horrible slow and having to depend on internet to use a wired speaker (Bose 900) is disappointing because I don’t want/need Alexa or a mic in my soundbar. Wish Bose would *sell the 900 without Alexa and need for WiFi* or I would buy it. I’ll stick with my Bose TV Speaker for now. I don’t like/need big bass because it drowns out dialogue in movies IMO. I know audiophiles hate Bose but for me they sound (700/900) the most balanced for all-in-one soundbar. For me… louder volume isn’t better if it’s unable to retain the clarity. I don’t care about “pure” sound that audiophile’s do, I want clarity and balance. I like uniformed bass that doesn’t rattle the sub or walls. I like to feel the bass but not so overdone where it rattles objects. I’ll wait for Bose to possibly release the next Gen Bose TV Speaker that doesn’t need the internet because that’s plain ridiculous to need WiFi for a near $1000/soundbar to work with your TV?!
Love my BOSE 300!! 😍😀😎🤪🤙🦋Bought it yesterday. Use it as my computer setup!! Thing sounds amazing!! Make sure you enable dialogue when setting up. I have it hooked up via wi-fi! Sounds amazing!!! I have my own dedicated home theater room... so I use this primarily for my computer setup... the 300 doesn’t have a shiny top like the 700..but it’s still a gorgeous design ... and fits nicely under my wide screen monitor!! What’s confusing for the average consumer is the re- use of model numbers. Soundbar 700 is a reiteration of the SoundTouch 300. Now we have a Soundbar 300 which is a completely different sound bar than the Sountouch 300. (Discontinued). I would like to compare this speaker to the Soundbar 300. Which has better dialogue? The problem I have had with sound bars is the effects overpower the dialogue. They are jacking up the effects to impress you by bouncing sounds off the walls to get a 5.1 simulation at the cost of dialogue.
I definitely agree the bar names can be confusing. Believe or not the 700 was not supposed to be the replacement to the soundtouch 300. I myself assumed so also. But what is happening now is the full line of soundbars in every price category is being released. The new 300 speaker is the replacement to the soundtouch 300. Bose has to move everything over from the soundtouch ecosystem to the bose music ecosystem. The solo and bose speaker do not connect to a wifi connected home. so now we start at the 300 on the bose music with google and Alexa built in. It gives us customers many different ways and price points to complete the 5.1 surround experience. Now that the soundtouch bars drop off to stop the confusion. its now a choice of 300 500 700 with 2 different size subs and rears to choose but most importantly they can all work together on the same bose music ecosystem. Then all the new home speakers can be added on in addition to the 5.1 surround. So going further it should actually be easier and a better experience for customers. Because now you know all of the wifi connected bars work with the new home speakers for multiple room audio ect. All the bars have dialogue mode that can be activated with the app or remote doing a great job pulling voice front and center but for whatever reason this speaker was the best I've tested yet for dialogue. Hopefully this helps a little

Can you confirm or deny that the smart features of the app allow you to get more power from your bass module than the TV speaker and the bass module alone? I want a TV speaker and bass module 700 just like you have here for gaming but I don’t want to “leave anything on the table” as far as the power of the bass module with only the bass control on the remote of the TV speaker. If you can squeeze more power from the bass module 700 using a smart soundbar 300 with app functionality then I would rather go that route.

🤔 Try the other aux plug location on your sub maybe its in the wrong one? Also if the 500 is connected to any other bose bar? the sub must be deleted from that system first. also only use the official Bose Bass module cable.

Probably the best review I’ve seen for this so far!!! Does this speaker cause sound sync issues with Vizio V-series TV’s? Heard it’s a big issue with Vizio and their TV’s due to an update. Good details that I can use to setup when it arrives. Just won a Vizio V-series v505 from work and the sound on it is absolutely atrocious… I hope this doesn’t cause sound sync issues…

How does this compare to the BOSE GS SERIES II…. I’ve been rocking that for 5 years now and it’s great but if I decide to buy this soundbar does it have the spaciousness of the aforementioned GS SERIES II that’s all I need to know to make my decision.

Meaning soundtouch products will stay soundtouch and never bose music. it definitely seems easy to just change over but it's not as simple is it might seem. the real reason is many features are not supported in the same way especially across the entire line. Example the 300 adjust bass on the bar itself but the 700 bass is adjusted through the software on the app.. also the voice assistant is not built in to the 300 but can be controlled by a external assistant. But bose release the smartbar 300 that runs on bose music app. However the soundtouch system is better still. Remember that the soundtouch line doesn't need a wifi connection the 700 is useless without it.. Had subscribed for the quality review. Have some questions. Is the subwoofer bose bass 500 with the bose TV speaker worth it? How much of a difference is it? If the bose TV speaker provides 100% satisfaction, would you say that by adding the bose bass 500 increases to 300% satisfaction? If not, how much do you think it is? Because the bass 500 is already more expensive than the bose TV speaker. Also, do you think this combination is great? (E.g. the bass won't over power the tv speaker). Personally I like the idea that the bass 500 can be used in future for newer soundbars (to upgrade in future). Thank you.

It starts to be a question of space and how loud you want everything ect. It's definitely nice that the sub can be used with other bose systems. But when i really hit a category for the tv speaker i think max dialogue and small room or tight spaces. I just love true surround sound so if I had a choice i do it. The 500 sub from the bose store refurbished goes for 200 to 250 new packaging full warranty. But paying full price for the 500 or even 700 I would start to say move up to the next teir. But so far bose has not supported atmos on anything. Major snags health problems kids at home since no school then the one i uploaded had copyright issues because a movie was playing with settings. Then a software update hit and changes everything and I have to redo my calculations. So now It has to be re-done But I still do plan on it. You can get a 10 foot 3.5 cable at Amazon for about six dollars. You don’t have to pay $10 for a cable. For the price that those charges for their electronics they should throw in a cable for free.

Bass port. And if Bose didn’t want it close to the wall, why did they make a wall bracket? The Smart Soundbar 300 has EQ correction for being wall mounted. I actually think the TV Speaker has the best dialogue.
The bose tv speaker is definitely a great dialogue enhancing bar. More EQ adjustments are always nice. Having adapt IQ process is a big upside to helping it sound great on my 700. Why bose makes it "money" Manufacturers will always make accessories to meet customers demands. A lot of customers are worried about what it will look like more than what it will sound like. a lot of customers seek to mount their bar right under their TV for the pleasant look it creates or because they dont have a tv stand ect. it's not always about sound but often about function. This of course is the most important thing and that is making customers happy. And if you think about it the whole idea of the Soundbar started with a small Sleek design that sounds better than the TV speaker. Without having massive surround speakers all over the living room. But if your happy with it on the wall that is all that matters. These are just my personal recommendations to get the best performance😇
@@JbTechFanatic I agree. The Sound Bar 300 has a setting for wall mounting, but it makes it sound wonky. Maybe a bass module will cure that issue. I don’t know because haven’t tried it. I’m also disappointed the Bose Universal remote is not supported by the Sound bar 300. The TV Speaker does greatly improve dialogue and the total experience.
Great video, thanks. My wife and I are over 60 and have increasing difficulty with dialog. Even though we have a Roku streaming stick plus, I was looking at switching to a Roku streambar. Supposedly they are great for dialogue.?. We have our tv wall mounted with a latter shelf beside the tv in the corner so not sure if that would work well. Any feedback would be appreciated. In my opinion Roku is mainly a smart tv platform company that is growing their business with other products. Bose is and always will be a audio company. What this means is not that you will not find other great product out there in different brands but it does mean that one bose does something it typically does it very well. Because of what I do I own and test many many sound bars of all different types and brands when it comes to dialogue mode I feel that bose is at the top of its game. And thankfully they have many different levels of systems and price points. I do recommend is buying it from a reputable company that has a good refund policy just in case any product you choose is not for you and please definitely let me know what you do end up with and how you like it feedback from you the viewer is more powerful than anything so that I can share with others😉

Is this a review of just the sound bar or with bass unit. I have sent for one, but having just bought a Qled and a UHD 4k blu ray I don't wanna stump up another £300 for the bass unit at the moment. I only have a Samsung three year old bar that was only £80. Looked at Yamaha 209 but that's about 3-4 feet long. In the USA u guys are lucky to get cheaper electronic. Think just the bar is RRP $299 here is £330 but got mine black Friday £220 but as I said base sub is extra £300 for the cheap one 🤔 PS nice review 👍

If you ever want to add an inexpensive sub check out the base mol3ule 500 under Bose refurbished section typically you can get it for about $200 compared to 4 to 500 retail. It comes at new packaging and has a full year warranty it might be a good add-on sometime in the future but for now this is a great product of course it's not going to thunder your home but it's a crisp clean sounding Soundbar that will definitely enhance your experience.

@@JbTechFanatic yeah will do if I need more base I try a Sub. Btw I'm only using a £80 Samsung HW- J 250 that's four years old with NO HDMI So it HAS to be an upgrade. Btw some folks say use hdmi as I have Arc, but some say with lower end products u won't get Atmos and you need eArc to get DTS which is probably what I'd get BTW I watch a lot of BR and UHD physical media, Any thoughts between optical and HDMI Arc ?. I ordered this because it got the most 5/5 and trust Pilot reviews, sure they sell a Denon HTS and a Sony sudo surround with Atmos but lot of complaints, least Bose have a +++ rep 👍
Hdmi is always the best audio connection. But because no Earc or atmos or true surround sound. It definitely won't hurt just using optical connection and saving a hdmi port for another device 😉💯

Remember Samsung TV u have to enable Anynet HDMI arc, I couldn't find it for ages, Settings ,general device manager = Anynet ( HDMI ) enable , btw if u use Optical just plug in lot less hassle infact probably going back to it as ARC takes over all TV sound options which can be a pain. But it's a great little sound bar, crisp clear amazing bass for summit so small , Enjoy 👍👍👍

Im going to use ARC as I want the best quality plus the sound to be controlled from tv. I'm ready with the settings, does connecting it open up the Dolby + option on your Samsung tv? I've purchased a QED premium HDMI cable to use with the arc sockets, how do you mean the arc takes over all the tv? If you use optical can you use tv and bose? Any disadvantage using bose for everything?
@@liamsandie I've found with the Bose, ( prob because my Samsung was four years old ), anyway went back to optical and the speaker still comes on, only thing I liked about my old one was if you picked optical it would automatically cut out TV speakers do no delay, not s bit deal i just choose optical or hdmi. Seems to be no difference in quality. BTW I nearly went with QVC it was £320 at the time but I don't watch it so don't know about other discounts. I got about four HDMI cables ,2.0 and even 2.1. All seem to be the same just never pay more than £8-10 after all these digital cables either work or they don't an £60 cable won't improve things. Biggest seller on Amazon is Thier £6 basic HDMI 2.0. I'm very happy the bass is sooo deep yet subtle, for the size and even has a kinda spatial quality . Hope u like your as much as I do mine. PS bought a few cables but found best ( well made ) and flexible was 8K stouchi HDMI 2.1, £10.99 at Amazon, QED have a good reputation 👍

I went to Currys yesterday and had a play, was impressed with the sound even compared to the larger Bose units. I have a Bose Wave radio and Soundtouch Pedestal at the minute in the conservatory and impressed with that so hopefully this tv speaker is the same. I originally started looking as got an email from Bose with details of their new product the one with the app and alexa built in, for me that's really not important. Its for the TV. So when i then found this one £100 cheaper i was pleased. Are you saying the speaker goes on and off with optical too? I know with LG tvs you can have sound output as optical and TV, on my Samsung tv as far as I can see its one or the other. Going with arc anyway as figured it should be better i.e more control etc I believe its probably detrimental to overall sound to have tv speaker and a soundbar playing at the same time anyway....?

Oh lol no problem so A software update got stuck on mine a week ago i had to reset my bar then rerun setup. If its a issue with the bar it should fix it. Also check your router as to how many devices you have on one channel if your using qos or have to many items the router can cut it off and prioritize other items also having your mobile device and bar on the same channel helps. That depends on budget but 700 is the best. if you can find the soundtouch 300 acoustimass module it will give you the same as the 700. and then the 500 will be the most affordable but will also give you a little bit more toned-down experience for a smaller environment or if you don't want to wake Neighbors in apartment.
Unbelievable they can’t even supply bass cable ! Ok it’s not expensive but what a pain you unbox the thing then realise it’s missing and back to the shops ! Not cool if you have over a hour drive to shops

You lost me lol. So nothing to do with the sound bar right? Are you asking about a cable provider? If so what one do you have? Most have a limited number of tuners that can record if they are all be used you can pause because when you pause the cable box or dish box is actually recording the content so you can unpause and watch. That is likely the problem 😕

I think it's fine. I personally won't spend another $200 to upgrade to soundbar 300 just to use the subwoofer wirelessly, especially when it is usually placed beside it.
I bought this speaker... personally it is terrible. I am using the optical cable. There is no volume control on the speaker if you lose the remote you can’t control the volume. It has no bass even if you run it up to max setting. If you want to drop hundreds of dollars for a Sub Woofer it might sound better but by itself my TV actually has a better sound. Unfortunately I am stuck with it I waited to long to return it.. I’m not ragging on the review just letting people know Bose dropped the ball on this one. I do not recommend.

You can also connect hdmi arc and turn on Hdmi cec control for the bose speaker to works as one with your tv. Just bought this exact setup. Bose TV Speaker + the Bose Bass module 700. Hits hard with the 700’s bass! You’re right, this little soundbar sounds extremely crisp. With the added 700 module this is a great option for those with the $1000.00 or barely over, budget.
Only “issue” is that even though the subwoofer hits hard I still want the option to adjust the gain or bass levels via the Bose Music app….which is a requirement to do so.
Boss’s customer support confirmed that the app won’t connect or find the Bose TV Speaker however, so don’t even try yet, but they did take the feedback and agreed it’s something they should look into.
Not really too big of a deal since the sound and bass are still fantastic but it would be nice to have the Bose Music app updated with this soundbar.

Honestly for your $1000/budget I would’ve gotten the Bose Smart Sound 900 for like $900… has more than enough bass and probably the best Atmos all in one soundbar. Bose used to have issues with high/low but they’ve really stepped up their game with technology and retained that Bose build quality. I’m disappointed you need WiFi with the Bose smart sound soundbars 300/700/900 because the internet where I live (Spectrum) is horrible slow and having to depend on internet to use a wired speaker (Bose 900) is disappointing because I don’t want/need Alexa or a mic in my soundbar. Wish Bose would *sell the 900 without Alexa and need for WiFi* or I would buy it. I’ll stick with my Bose TV Speaker for now. I don’t like/need big bass because it drowns out dialogue in movies IMO. I know audiophiles hate Bose but for me they sound (700/900) the most balanced for all-in-one soundbar. For me… louder volume isn’t better if it’s unable to retain the clarity. I don’t care about “pure” sound that audiophile’s do, I want clarity and balance. I like uniformed bass that doesn’t rattle the sub or walls. I like to feel the bass but not so overdone where it rattles objects. I’ll wait for Bose to possibly release the next Gen Bose TV Speaker that doesn’t need the internet because that’s plain ridiculous to need WiFi for a near $1000/soundbar to work with your TV?!

What’s confusing for the average consumer is the re- use of model numbers.
Soundbar 700 is a reiteration of the SoundTouch 300.
Now we have a Soundbar 300 which is a completely different sound bar than the Sountouch 300. (Discontinued). I would like to compare this speaker to the Soundbar 300. Which has better dialogue?
The problem I have had with sound bars is the effects overpower the dialogue. They are jacking up the effects to impress you by bouncing sounds off the walls to get a 5.1 simulation at the cost of dialogue.
I definitely agree the bar names can be confusing. Believe or not the 700 was not supposed to be the replacement to the soundtouch 300. I myself assumed so also. But what is happening now is the full line of soundbars in every price category is being released. The new 300 speaker is the replacement to the soundtouch 300. Bose has to move everything over from the soundtouch ecosystem to the bose music ecosystem. The solo and bose speaker do not connect to a wifi connected home. so now we start at the 300 on the bose music with google and Alexa built in. It gives us customers many different ways and price points to complete the 5.1 surround experience. Now that the soundtouch bars drop off to stop the confusion. its now a choice of 300 500 700 with 2 different size subs and rears to choose but most importantly they can all work together on the same bose music ecosystem. Then all the new home speakers can be added on in addition to the 5.1 surround. So going further it should actually be easier and a better experience for customers. Because now you know all of the wifi connected bars work with the new home speakers for multiple room audio ect. All the bars have dialogue mode that can be activated with the app or remote doing a great job pulling voice front and center but for whatever reason this speaker was the best I've tested yet for dialogue. Hopefully this helps a little

Can you confirm or deny that the smart features of the app allow you to get more power from your bass module than the TV speaker and the bass module alone? I want a TV speaker and bass module 700 just like you have here for gaming but I don’t want to “leave anything on the table” as far as the power of the bass module with only the bass control on the remote of the TV speaker. If you can squeeze more power from the bass module 700 using a smart soundbar 300 with app functionality then I would rather go that route.

🤔 Try the other aux plug location on your sub maybe its in the wrong one? Also if the 500 is connected to any other bose bar? the sub must be deleted from that system first. also only use the official Bose Bass module cable.

Probably the best review I’ve seen for this so far!!! Does this speaker cause sound sync issues with Vizio V-series TV’s? Heard it’s a big issue with Vizio and their TV’s due to an update. Good details that I can use to setup when it arrives. Just won a Vizio V-series v505 from work and the sound on it is absolutely atrocious… I hope this doesn’t cause sound sync issues…

How does this compare to the BOSE GS SERIES II…. I’ve been rocking that for 5 years now and it’s great but if I decide to buy this soundbar does it have the spaciousness of the aforementioned GS SERIES II that’s all I need to know to make my decision.

Meaning soundtouch products will stay soundtouch and never bose music. it definitely seems easy to just change over but it's not as simple is it might seem. the real reason is many features are not supported in the same way especially across the entire line. Example the 300 adjust bass on the bar itself but the 700 bass is adjusted through the software on the app.. also the voice assistant is not built in to the 300 but can be controlled by a external assistant. But bose release the smartbar 300 that runs on bose music app. However the soundtouch system is better still. Remember that the soundtouch line doesn't need a wifi connection the 700 is useless without it.. Had subscribed for the quality review. Have some questions. Is the subwoofer bose bass 500 with the bose TV speaker worth it? How much of a difference is it? If the bose TV speaker provides 100% satisfaction, would you say that by adding the bose bass 500 increases to 300% satisfaction? If not, how much do you think it is? Because the bass 500 is already more expensive than the bose TV speaker. Also, do you think this combination is great? (E.g. the bass won't over power the tv speaker). Personally I like the idea that the bass 500 can be used in future for newer soundbars (to upgrade in future). Thank you.

But when i really hit a category for the tv speaker i think max dialogue and small room or tight spaces. I just love true surround sound so if I had a choice i do it. The 500 sub from the bose store refurbished goes for 200 to 250 new packaging full warranty. But paying full price for the 500 or even 700 I would start to say move up to the next teir. But so far bose has not supported atmos on anything. It seems like a battle about money in my opinion. 2 subs definitely add to your experience making it Dolby 5.2 but I honestly hardly leave 2 subs on mine as its mostly overkill. Major snags health problems kids at home since no school then the one i uploaded had copyright issues because a movie was playing with settings. Then a software update hit and changes everything and I have to redo my calculations. So now It has to be re-done But I still do plan on it. You can get a 10 foot 3.5 cable at Amazon for about six dollars. You don’t have to pay $10 for a cable. For the price that those charges for their electronics they should throw in a cable for free.

And then flip to whatever still available & not being used for other sources like Bluetooth yes. But you can not plug the hdmi from any source for video into the bar only audio connection to the bar itself 😉

Can you use the Bose 1200 subwoofer? A lot less expensive. the 700 and 500 cost twice the price of the soundbar itself.

A great way to get the bose 500 sub is Bose official eBay store they sell it for 250 it's manufacture refurbished but is in new condition in original packaging and has a 2 year warranty from bose😉

Bass port. And if Bose didn’t want it close to the wall, why did they make a wall bracket? The Smart Soundbar 300 has EQ correction for being wall mounted. I actually think the TV Speaker has the best dialogue.
The bose tv speaker is definitely a great dialogue enhancing bar. More EQ adjustments are always nice. Having adapt IQ process is a big upside to helping it sound great on my 700. Why bose makes it "money" Manufacturers will always make accessories to meet customers demands. A lot of customers are worried about what it will look like more than what it will sound like. a lot of customers seek to mount their bar right under their TV for the pleasant look it creates or because they dont have a tv stand ect. it's not always about sound but often about function. This of course is the most important thing and that is making customers happy. And if you think about it the whole idea of the Soundbar started with a small Sleek design that sounds better than the TV speaker. Without having massive surround speakers all over the living room. But if your happy with it on the wall that is all that matters. These are just my personal recommendations to get the best performance😇
@@JbTechFanatic I agree. The Sound Bar 300 has a setting for wall mounting, but it makes it sound wonky. Maybe a bass module will cure that issue. I don’t know because haven’t tried it. I’m also disappointed the Bose Universal remote is not supported by the Sound bar 300. The TV Speaker does greatly improve dialogue and the total experience.

Great video, thanks. My wife and I are over 60 and have increasing difficulty with dialog. Even though we have a Roku streaming stick plus, I was looking at switching to a Roku streambar. Supposedly they are great for dialogue.?. We have our tv wall mounted with a latter shelf beside the tv in the corner so not sure if that would work well. Any feedback would be appreciated. In my opinion Roku is mainly a smart tv platform company that is growing their business with other products. Bose is and always will be a audio company. What this means is not that you will not find other great product out there in different brands but it does mean that one bose does something it typically does it very well. Because of what I do I own and test many many sound bars of all different types and brands when it comes to dialogue mode I feel that bose is at the top of its game. So we can this is just my opinion if you were to ask me what do I recommend Roku or Bose I would say boes and it's not even in the same conversation but that doesn't mean that you would not enjoy and get use with a Roku bar. I do recommend is buying it from a reputable company that has a good refund policy just in case any product you choose is not for you and please definitely let me know what you do end up with and how you like it feedback from you the viewer is more powerful than anything so that I can share with others😉

Bose music app keep searching for new device but it fails to detect Bose tv speaker. ( Bluetooth was on tv speaker) is Bose tv speaker comparable with Bose music app?
The bose tv speaker doesn't use any app 😕 all you have to do is follow my setup instructions and you are ready to go 😉

Is this a review of just the sound bar or with bass unit.
I have sent for one, but having just bought a Qled and a UHD 4k blu ray I don't wanna stump up another £300 for the bass unit at the moment.
I only have a Samsung three year old bar that was only £80.
Looked at Yamaha 209 but that's about 3-4 feet long.
In the USA u guys are lucky to get cheaper electronic.
Think just the bar is RRP $299 here is £330 but got mine black Friday £220 but as I said base sub is extra £300 for the cheap one 🤔 PS nice review 👍

But i cover all the details as well as sub setup. and being able to add a bass module at a future date is a plus. If you ever want to add an inexpensive sub check out the base mol3ule 500 under Bose refurbished section typically you can get it for about $200 compared to 4 to 500 retail. It comes at new packaging and has a full year warranty it might be a good add-on sometime in the future but for now this is a great product of course it's not going to thunder your home but it's a crisp clean sounding Soundbar that will definitely enhance your experience.

Btw some folks say use hdmi as I have Arc, but some say with lower end products u won't get Atmos and you need eArc to get DTS which is probably what I'd get

I ordered this because it got the most 5/5 and trust Pilot reviews, sure they sell a Denon HTS and a Sony sudo surround with Atmos but lot of complaints, least Bose have a +++ rep 👍
Hdmi is always the best audio connection. But because no Earc or atmos or true surround sound. It definitely won't hurt just using optical connection and saving a hdmi port for another device 😉💯

Good price , Mine was £200 but always get done in the UK . Remember Samsung TV u have to enable Anynet HDMI arc, I couldn't find it for ages,
Settings ,general device manager = Anynet ( HDMI ) enable , btw if u use Optical just plug in lot less hassle infact probably going back to it as ARC takes over all TV sound options which can be a pain.
But it's a great little sound bar, crisp clear amazing bass for summit so small ,

Im going to use ARC as I want the best quality plus the sound to be controlled from tv. I'm ready with the settings, does connecting it open up the Dolby + option on your Samsung tv? I've purchased a QED premium HDMI cable to use with the arc sockets, how do you mean the arc takes over all the tv? If you use optical can you use tv and bose? Any disadvantage using bose for everything?
@@liamsandie I've found with the Bose, ( prob because my Samsung was four years old ), anyway went back to optical and the speaker still comes on, only thing I liked about my old one was if you picked optical it would automatically cut out TV speakers do no delay, not s bit deal i just choose optical or hdmi.
Seems to be no difference in quality.
BTW I nearly went with QVC it was £320 at the time but I don't watch it so don't know about other discounts.
I got about four HDMI cables ,2.0 and even 2.1. All seem to be the same just never pay more than £8-10 after all these digital cables either work or they don't an £60 cable won't improve things.
Biggest seller on Amazon is Thier £6 basic HDMI 2.0.
I'm very happy the bass is sooo deep yet subtle, for the size and even has a kinda spatial quality .

@@rikaardyyz3039 just goggled the best price and came up with qvc, didn't actually watch the channel as such. Still waiting of delivery. I went to Currys yesterday and had a play, was impressed with the sound even compared to the larger Bose units. I have a Bose Wave radio and Soundtouch Pedestal at the minute in the conservatory and impressed with that so hopefully this tv speaker is the same. I originally started looking as got an email from Bose with details of their new product the one with the app and alexa built in, for me that's really not important. Its for the TV. So when i then found this one £100 cheaper i was pleased. Are you saying the speaker goes on and off with optical too? I know with LG tvs you can have sound output as optical and TV, on my Samsung tv as far as I can see its one or the other. Going with arc anyway as figured it should be better i.e more control etc I believe its probably detrimental to overall sound to have tv speaker and a soundbar playing at the same time anyway....?

Oh lol no problem so A software update got stuck on mine a week ago i had to reset my bar then rerun setup. If its a issue with the bar it should fix it. Also check your router as to how many devices you have on one channel if your using qos or have to many items the router can cut it off and prioritize other items also having your mobile device and bar on the same channel helps. That depends on budget but 700 is the best. if you can find the soundtouch 300 acoustimass module it will give you the same as the 700. and then the 500 will be the most affordable but will also give you a little bit more toned-down experience for a smaller environment or if you don't want to wake Neighbors in apartment.

You lost me lol. So nothing to do with the sound bar right? Are you asking about a cable provider? If so what one do you have? Most have a limited number of tuners that can record if they are all be used you can pause because when you pause the cable box or dish box is actually recording the content so you can unpause and watch. That is likely the problem 😕
The Bass Module does NOT work wirelessly??? I thought it was a wireless subwoofer?

I think it's fine. I personally won't spend another $200 to upgrade to soundbar 300 just to use the subwoofer wirelessly, especially when it is usually placed beside it.
I bought this speaker... personally it is terrible. I am using the optical cable. There is no volume control on the speaker if you lose the remote you can’t control the volume. It has no bass even if you run it up to max setting. If you want to drop hundreds of dollars for a Sub Woofer it might sound better but by itself my TV actually has a better sound. Unfortunately I am stuck with it I waited to long to return it.. I’m not ragging on the review just letting people know Bose dropped the ball on this one. I do not recommend.

I'm Just trying to help any way I can. If it helps at all you can use your tv remote to control the sound bar by following my settings in this video. You can also connect hdmi arc and turn on Hdmi cec control for the bose speaker to works as one with your tv. Also be sure to turn dialogue mode off and bass to max to get the most bass out of the bar. Also if you want to add a sub it will make a massive difference and I found a amazing deal. bose ebay store sells refurbished bass 500 module for only 250 comes in new packaging with full year warranty here's a link if you're interested.
