@@raghibphotography Hey Ali Raghib, We had a theater in my home town of Magee,Mississippi back a few years ago and I actually worked there for 3 months tearing movie tickets before it went out of business.. For now it is to be remodeled and opened up as a children's autism mental facility.. But yes the theater was my very first job and if I ever wanted to open up my own theater one day, where would I buy my theater seats and how would I get the latest and greatest movies? I know they are displayed on a projector, but how do they get there? How big should your basic theater in a small town be? The one in Magee was 7,500 Square Foot and featured a three screen cinema and arcade with mostly claw machines and pinball machines when I worked there.. The theater movie rooms were color coded, blue, red and yellow and it corresponded with your ticket color
@@raghibphotography Also at the theater in Magee, we had popcorn and nachos and all that good stuff.. It was open in 1985 and closed officially just a few months after I started working there as the year was 2010.. For 13 years it was left abandoned

Room is incredible. You're clearly put time and passion into it. Most important thing about any home theater (or anything else for that matter) is who you share it so until they make a seat that is double wide so my dog can curl up against me like he does on my leather sofa, will have to pass on those :)
Thank you so much! I figured I try to be as informative i can. I rem watching so many videos and making so many mistakes.. had bought the wrong Amp first.. did not know if I should get box speakers or in wall lol. So many things

If the screen is not wall to wall, I don't consider it as theater, it is more like wall mounted tv. I build my HT in my garage - my screen is stretched wall to wall 16 feet wide, curved and in 2:35 aspect. It gives you real theater experience.
Hey man, sorry I just saw this today. I made another video about the costs... All the products I used are in the description... But Also.. do check out this one I posted today: th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
All that work. And you have...A TINY SCREEN! If I was putting that much effort in, that screen should be twice as big or more!!!!!! I have seen countless home cinema videos and they often go to these lengths, with incredible extras, posters, lighting, sound and then the whole point of the exercise, the screen is not much bigger than a TV!!! Its just mad.
www.audioadvice.com Punch in the numbers: 19 length 15 width 8 height Pick this projector: Sony VPL 325ES If any professional video/audio advice people out there are going bigger, let me know. The projector dimensions of the room can not handle. It would be stupid to turn your head left and right throughout the movie. Yes, you can still go ahead and install bigger. I mean, i still can. But I will lose the picture quality. I went with the basics. To make the screen bigger, I have to change my projector and re adjust the speakers. This means I have to make more renovations as well. If I was to do it all over again, then yes. But this was my first built. I made some mistakes, yes. But it's still a 9/10
I never thought of creating the movie theater atmosphere in the hallway with the decor, snack bar, and everything else. That's next-level. I don't want to think about how much this must have cost.
Why thank you so much! It was necessary. Haha my family made a joke at first. Are you going to sell tickets and make it like a real cinema? I said YES! Haha and now it actually feels like that :)
Bro This is so good i bet even a normal video or movie with poor sound design would sound epic in this room everything is well Managed the best part is sound proofing does great impact if audio is going outside the room not good your explantion was nice too thank you so much for showing you home thetre brother loved it its epic just epic i would never get outside this room if i have it
Amazing theater room and basement design…subscribed. I’m in the process of remodeling our basement and would love to see the tour of your whole basement. Seems like a lot of thought and planning went into it and folks can get a lot of ideas from your build.
Thanks for subscribing as well Sridhar! and yes; that was the main point of the video. im glad it helped you! I made another video as well . Here's a link if you want to get more tips! th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
Amazing setup and explanation, if I see this 2 years ago I would have designed my theater much better :) And overall your basement looks awesome. A couple of things: - Can you please explain in detail how you did for Ceiling Fiber optics lighting? - Details about the door - more details on how did you do with the black fabric, etc?
Thanks Ragu! I am working on another video to help others who are designing for the first time! So please subscribe and spread the word :) 1. Ceiling fiber optics were done on MDF sheets. Just bought a motor off amazon that is easily accessible and replaceable. Drilled each and every hold to achieve a custom pattern on that MDF and sticked the lights through. It was a very long tideous job. Took almost 5 days but totally worth it! I didn't want to pay someone double the cost and most were doing it with fabric. I am glad I went with MDF it makes it more shiny too. 2. Door was also custom. Have some experience in family who make restaurant booth chairs with tufting style using the gun. So first we worked on a small piece of vinyl (leather look) wrap and made a sample using different type of buttons... When we got comfortable and were satisfied... we decided to do it on the whole door ... Im actually amazed how well it turned out!
Thanks for the response with details Ali, For the ceiling fiber optics lights, I wanted to do it as you did. Since I was doing it for the first time and my theater room size is bigger 15W X 26L, so I did two round shape ceiling fiber optics lights. I will make a video and share it with you.
Hey man how's the star light coming? I made another video.. Hopefully you enjoy this one too! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!!! I just uploaded another detailed video literally 10 minutes ago. Please watch this and subscribe for more detailed videos ;) th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
I tried to do that already actually. I put them for the front channels when I had the x4700 denon but then I upgraded to the x6700 receiver and all the channels have great sound..no pre-Amplifier needed after that.. basically all height speakers are connected into one receiver as well as the other speakers. Unless I'm missing something else?
If you're happy with that, OK. Adding power amps (or a single three-channel power amp for the front and center channels, which contain 90 percent of the useful music, voice, and overall audio information) will dramatically improve the sound of your system. Home theater receivers use the cheapest possible built-in power amp assemblies and minimally adequate power supplies for too many channels. You can make that tradeoff and let the receiver amplify the surround channels, which will also sound better.
Beautiful theater and very nicely done. One thing I noticed at the 11:35 mark is your AVR is in eco mode. It's typically recommended not to use that since it could be robbing you of power when the speakers demand it.
Thank you! And omg really??? I have been using it like that since day 1🤣🙈Does it really effect the sound?? What does it actually do?! I thought it was just for heating purposes to use less power and I was saving electricity🤦🏾♂️
@@raghibphotography it's probably not extremely noticable especially with efficient Klipsch speakers but might as well let the AVR run all out. Gene at Audioholics has done a video or two on this. If I can find it I'll link it here.
@@raghibphotography It only affects the sound when driven hard and ECO then limits wattage to the speakers. However, if you run the speakers at volume levels of around 70% then ECO is just fine. ECO has another serious advantage in protecting your amp capacitors from overloading and reducing their efficiency. ECO Mode will protect your AVR in the long run. Your money your choice :)
Just awesome Ali. Love both the theater room and the basement. We are about to get going with our basement soon and have plans for a dedicated media room but I am finding out more and more how much stuff I have to think about. Thank you for all the ideas. Great job!
great job getting the most important things right from the beginning rather than putting tons of money into the gear rather than the room - you can always upgrade the gear but you can't upgrade the room without starting over
Thanks man!!! First person to actually understand what I keep saying below.. lol it's just an entry level for those who are starting out. By no means it's the high end stuff here. The wiring is done. The upgrading will be easier but the room/layout and everything else in the basement can't be changed. I had no bedrooms/kitchen/Plumbing or anything down there. It was a giant empty space. Thank you for your comment:)
@@raghibphotography absolutely - this is how i advise my clients all the time. most people building home theaters or 2 channel systems want to simply throw all their money to the gear but high end AV equipment without a properly built and treated room does not yield results that are anywhere near as quality as those from a room done right with modest gear.
The only way to do it right man! I agree 100%. I made another video and talked about what you said in it. Hopefully you enjoy this one too! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
Very cool theater! I agree with some other posts, I would get an external amp. The sound quality and power is just so much better. Plus it reduces load on AVR so that it lasts longer. I only have a denon 3800H, but the extra amps made a huge difference.
i just went with an emotiva BasX5 5 channel for bed layer plus one of those fosi amazon 1 channel amps for $50-100 for my bass shakers and wired series. I would have loved to power my heights with another external amp but i dont have the space. But i like emotiva gear, it is good quality, affordable gear.
Also, amp and power obviously depends on your needs, speakers and size of your room. My room is 9x12 feet, so a small amp is all i needed, i dont have speakers that need a ton of power, so thats why i went with a budget amp, it gets the job done.
That was my first job. I worked at a full-service gas station. The owner of the gas station made me work for a whole month without pay. At the end he said it was a "job experience opportunity" and it was not paid.. I forgot to ask him about the pay since I was 15 years old lol. Learned a lot....
Thank you! It took approximately 6 months from start to finish. Theater, Washroom/Plumbing/Full Kitchen, 2 Bedrooms. And all the living space and getting all that electrical work done right and certified. Almost 2500 sq.ft...My entire summer basically lol
@raghibphotography I actually saw it about an hour ago. Great video of showing all of the planning, attention to detail, and the time you put into it. Don't think I've ever seen someone soundproof the door. Nice.
I don’t understand why you need an acoustically transparent screen if the frontal acoustics are not behind it! In my opinion, this is a mistake! The screen looks like a ratio of sides 16: 9 {1.78: 1}? Or maybe it would be better if 2.35: 1?
Actually I was only putting the centre channel behind the screen and getting two towers to put on the side. I had already got the screen and later I realized that towers would be too low. I am actually upgrading my screen to a 135 or 150 with a 2:35:1 scope. So the front speakers will no longer be seen. This was the final look but I wanted to show what I have and maybe give everyone am idea when they are planning. But yes I could have gone with a normal screen too but wouldn't be able to have the centre channel behind the wall.
This is math. Based on your main listening position, you’ll position your speakers a given distance apart to get a good sound stage. Beside that, the second piece is about the center channel height, which he explains. What he has done here is not a mistake and, in fact, the correct way to do it based on what I’ve seen in his room and the room dimensions.
Thank you Geri! means a lot :) Have you watched my other videos? I did more detailed videos/tours of my theater .. you can find the videos here :) th-cam.com/play/PLbf9vIKh2Zxe_scn2ti4hozKdOjRNLrXD.html

One of the best investments in a HomeTheatre is to make Individual Home Runs from the Electrical Panel to Major Components. And use high quality outlets and breakers and good grounding and 30 amp breakers and appropriate wire gauge for Power Amps and Projector
This is beyond lovely, I want to create this once I find a new home to buy. Thank you for sharing sir, this is both informative and inspirational for me!

Its just mad.
www.audioadvice.com
Punch in the numbers:
19 length
15 width
8 height
Pick this projector: Sony VPL 325ES
If any professional video/audio advice people out there are going bigger, let me know. But it's still a 9/10
Omg this is amazing!!! I would never leave
haha thanks Devin!! Here's part 2 of the movie theatre if you haven't seen it already. I will post a link..

Do check out this video if you haven't already!

Congratulations, I can see that you really put a lot of effort and thinking to build this, I really appreciate that.

You are living my dream 😎
Well done 👍
Thanks buddy!
Amazing setup and explanation, if I see this 2 years ago I would have designed my theater much better :) And overall your basement looks awesome.
A couple of things:
- Can you please explain in detail how you did for Ceiling Fiber optics lighting?
- Details about the door - more details on how did you do with the black fabric, etc?
Thanks Ragu!
I am working on another video to help others who are designing for the first time! So please subscribe and spread the word :)
Thanks for the response with details Ali,
For the ceiling fiber optics lights, I wanted to do it as you did.
Great great great video! Learned a lot, thank you!
Thank you!!! I just uploaded another detailed video literally 10 minutes ago. Please watch this and subscribe for more detailed videos ;)

Looks awesome but you’re definitely missing external amplification. Especially with a room that size.
Wow amazing best one yet.. :0
Wow nice man cave I wish one day
Thanks, Jay. I put more videos of the man cave, too... I'll make a full one just if the basement next :)
Really like the mini TV in the bathroom, that's a nice touch
Glad you like it!
Hey buddy! I made another video.. Hopefully you enjoy this one too! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
@@Darkside_C7 Awesome! Thanks for the info buddy and yes do send me the link. I am going to turn it off today and watch a movie to see a difference
@@raghibphotography th-cam.com/users/shortsMjyybxwdbrY?feature=share
@@raghibphotography It only affects the sound when driven hard and ECO then limits wattage to the speakers. However, if you run the speakers at volume levels of around 70% then ECO is just fine. ECO has another serious advantage in protecting your amp capacitors from overloading and reducing their efficiency. ECO Mode will protect your AVR in the long run. Your money your choice :)
Thanks, Ali, for the great tour of your amazing theatre as well as fantastic narration!
Thank you so much Rodney! Glad it helped!!... Here's part 2 if you are interested...

Hi check this one also seems a good home theatre th-cam.com/video/1DQnHcddXLs/w-d-xo.html
Just awesome Ali. Love both the theater room and the basement. We are about to get going with our basement soon and have plans for a dedicated media room but I am finding out more and more how much stuff I have to think about. Thank you for all the ideas. Great job!
Awesome!!! If you have any questions do comment or PM me! & You're very welcome!
Hi check this one also seems a good home theatre th-cam.com/video/1DQnHcddXLs/w-d-xo.html
Wow !!!!! Far better than any theater I’ve been in
Thanks so much
great job getting the most important things right from the beginning rather than putting tons of money into the gear rather than the room - you can always upgrade the gear but you can't upgrade the room without starting over
Thanks man!!!
Hands down this is a "Top Ten" home theater!! Only flaw is Polk sounds better than Klipsch and is on-par for prices
Thanks man!
This guy made his heaven at home
Haha, Thanks Farid!

Incredible setup! The only thing missing are life sized figures of iconic characters on the walk way towards the theater.
haha yes i thought about getting those!! thank you again :)
He even have the right movie to play it in.. beautiful setup!
Hey man Thank you! I made another video.. Hopefully you enjoy this one too! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
Very cool theater! I agree with some other posts, I would get an external amp. The sound quality and power is just so much better. Plus it reduces load on AVR so that it lasts longer. I only have a denon 3800H, but the extra amps made a huge difference.
Thanks for the tips Chris! Yes, I will be doing some homework on it:)
Good luck and i hope it blows you away! you have an amazing room!
I have your same receiver. What are you using as your external?
i just went with an emotiva BasX5 5 channel for bed layer plus one of those fosi amazon 1 channel amps for $50-100 for my bass shakers and wired series. I would have loved to power my heights with another external amp but i dont have the space. But i like emotiva gear, it is good quality, affordable gear.
Also, amp and power obviously depends on your needs, speakers and size of your room. My room is 9x12 feet, so a small amp is all i needed, i dont have speakers that need a ton of power, so thats why i went with a budget amp, it gets the job done.
thanks for the guide, ill get to work as soon as ill finish my shift in 7-11
That was my first job. I worked at a full-service gas station. The owner of the gas station made me work for a whole month without pay. At the end he said it was a "job experience opportunity" and it was not paid.. I forgot to ask him about the pay since I was 15 years old lol. Learned a lot....
My phone paused the video when he said Hey Google
Lol. im sorry !
This is so dope!! I have these seats XL so comfy.
Thanks buddy!
Amazing ...simply amazing !!!
Thanks a lot!
Great video. I love to see how nothing turns into something. How long did it take to build?
Thank you! It took approximately 6 months from start to finish. Theater, Washroom/Plumbing/Full Kitchen, 2 Bedrooms. And all the living space and getting all that electrical work done right and certified. Almost 2500 sq.ft...My entire summer basically lol
@@raghibphotography 2500 sq ft. Unbelievable! I wish my basement was half that size.
Hey buddy! I made another video.. Hopefully you enjoy this one too! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uZaoL3-UZPU/w-d-xo.html
@raghibphotography I actually saw it about an hour ago. Great video of showing all of the planning, attention to detail, and the time you put into it. Don't think I've ever seen someone soundproof the door. Nice.
Wow - simply superb.
Also ......... your vlog, delivery etc.
All perfect.
My compliments young man!
Thanks a ton So nice of you
I don’t understand why you need an acoustically transparent screen if the frontal acoustics are not behind it!
What he has done here is not a mistake and, in fact, the correct way to do it based on what I’ve seen in his room and the room dimensions.
omg this is what im talking about.. love love loove ur theater
Thank you Geri! means a lot :) Have you watched my other videos? I did more detailed videos/tours of my theater .. you can find the videos here :)

Wowww
Beautiful
Thank you!!!
Ali, I've watched a lot of home theater videos, but yours might be the best, man. It's incredible, yet doesn't seem like you're showing off.
That has a lot to do with your personality, I think. You come across as a really nice guy, which just makes it even better. I like seeing nice people who have nice things.
If I ever have the dough to do a proper home theater set-up, I'd probably just try to copy yours. Ha!
Ah, Bill, you made my day. Thank you so much!!!! I'm actually just about to gear up and make another video today :) I will definitely keep your nice words in my mind today. And if there is onething my parents taught me well was to never ever show off. Things like money come and goes. I REALLY wish everyone who loves movies like me have this in their homes.... If you ever decide to build something like this feel free to send me a message..my email is raghib.photography@gmail.com and not sure if you checked out my other videos but I'm slowly making them more and more to help people ans share...over the course of building this even I have learned so much just from the comments people are posting..I have picked up a lot of ideas and I will be making some changes to it in the future so stay tuned!! And if you would be so kind.. please watch my other videos and share it with your friends and family.. it really helps! I want to grow my audience, haha :)
Thanks again. Have a wonderful day!!!
@@raghibphotography will do, man! It sounds like your parents are good people who raised you right, and it comes across.
I'll definitely be checking out your other vids, and reaching out with questions when the time comes.
Have a great day!
Love that T2 poster! Hell yea
haha, I just watched T2 like last week in this theater! So weird you commented lol - One of the best movies :)
Usually when us theatre owning wannabe’s, drool over FU money and their theatres….they literally only know how to turn on the lights and hit power on remotes. I give this guy props for knowing the how’s/ why’s his was built. And sharing knowledge. 👍🏻
Thanks Riley! haha I still have lots to learn :) Working on my next big build currently :)
Please be my friend 😂❤ Awesome! Happy for you. 😊👍
Deal! haha thank you!
The setup is so expensive usually by people who don't know stuff about tech but damn you know all the details. Great decision!
That means a lot! I am not a professional at all but I did a lot of research on just TH-cam to achieve this myself. Glad I did not have to pay a professional and I know some professionals out there reading this might hate this statement. But this video is for those who have a small budget and want to achieve something that looks professional :) Glad you liked it and hopefully this helps everyone!!! My wish is that everyone has nice things Life is short!
Fantastic Space and theater!

Great setup. I used to have a Samsung 7.1 in my living room. Sold it, been missing it ever since. :( Those ceiling speakers are new to me. Can't wait to get it going again. 😎
Thanks Mikey! Yes the ceiling speakers are atmos speakers :)
One of the best investments in a HomeTheatre is to make Individual Home Runs from the Electrical Panel to Major Components. And use high quality outlets and breakers and good grounding and 30 amp breakers and appropriate wire gauge for Power Amps and Projector
Absolutely, You are right! :)
This is beyond lovely, I want to create this once I find a new home to buy. Thank you for sharing sir, this is both informative and inspirational for me!
So nice of you, Thanks again!
