About Swami Abhedananda:
Swami Abhedananda (1866 - 1939), born Kaliprasad Chandra, was an enlightened yogi and monk. He was a direct disciple of the 19th century mystic Ramakrishna Paramahansa. He was the founder of Ramakrishna Vedanta Math. Swami Vivekananda sent him to the West to head the Vedanta Society of New York in 1897, and spread the message of Vedanta, a theme on which he authored several books through his life, and subsequently founded the Ramakrishna Vedanta Math, in Calcutta (now Kolkata) and Darjeeling.

I really don't understand how can a human mind control, when we are hungry we crave ,the point is to not have hunger,is it really possible,by conditioning we can tolerate pain of hunger but can't remove it
Cannot avoid pain or hunger. They are talking about controlling your mental response
There are several systematic ways to control the mind. The best one I have found is to realise the true nature of the mind. 🙏
As usual the mystic approach is to take a long time in stating the obvious with many false equivalents involved. Clearly people don't analyse what is said.
Why the horrible music?
Don't you see the words? It may horrible to you and sweet to others.
Hari om thank you
