I started laughing from the very beginning. Not only have I found this guide engaging and hilarious, but it has also been the most helpful one I have found on the internet after hours of searching. I think it’s quite cool the way you keep managing to make things easy to understand at the same time that you get a smile out of your viewers throughout the whole video. I concretely laughed my head off when you made that family or self joke, at 0:47, or at 3:10, when you answer the printer back. I also got to understand resins printer much better. I would love to see you showing us more of your creations with the 3d printer, like the figure you show us at the end, it was amazing. I would also love to see you explain how to work with other materials, as PTG or PLA, or ASA. Congrats on your channel. Thank you :)
Thank you for your kind words it means alot, I'm glad my sense of humour is shared sometimes I will find something hilarious but wonder if maybe it's just me. theres alot more coming soon and I'll definitely think about adding those to the list😁
Great vid as always Ed.
Cheers Russ, more on the way
Nice recomendations. Please would you mind to share a buy link of the fermentation belt ot fermentation mat?
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CJKZ89ZP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share this is the one in question, although its great for automatically turning on when it gets cold it's not hot enough to warm up the resin during a print Id recommend putting the belt around the vat for that
@@edwardpeak01Excuse me. What fermentation belt would you recomend getting?
@@thecameraman8648 my one I got from a shop near me but I think you won't go too far wrong if you were to buy one by the same company as the link I posted above, they all do the same thing so you can't really go wrong. Although having one where you can set the temp will be an advantage
The fermentation pad doesn’t overheat the electronic components? And I’m guessing that can only work with an enclosure like you showed?
It doesn't get that hot, its designed for direct contact onto bottles but most printers like mine are on legs so won't touch it directly anyway. I only use the pad as a way to automatically avoid the printer freezing. Any enclosure with some level of insulation will work but I have found the ones already made for growing plants are very easy to work with as they have all the holes for wiring
Say hypothetically all the space I have to use it would be my bedroom could I get away with an enclosure, some filters ventilation from the enclosure to the window and a respirator?
Id say no, because even if you had a state of the art enclosure which is completely airtight and ventilated. When it gets opened it will release fumes anyway so no for your safety I wouldn't.
If you have any other options do them
Enjoyed the video and all it had to point out about toxic fumes. The sense of humor just keeps me wanting to watch more. I myself have a Uniformation GKtwo and would like to know the size Comgrow enclosure you use.
That's great I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the gktwo is a great printer. The size I have is M
What do you do with your left overs. Like the supports and misprints.
I put them in a big box that I pretend I'm going to use later on 😂 although saying that supports are useful for doing a vat clean so it's worth holding onto those for that reason.
If your crafty you can try and use failed prints for other projects but in my case they end up in the bin
Do you need a window in the shed or can it just be one with built in ventilation? I’m a beginner and I’m freaking out because I’m getting my first 3D resin printer as a graduation gift and I don’t want to overly expose myself or others to toxic carcinogenic fumes.
First of congratulations on graduation 🎉, and this is a reasonable concern. Bare in mind you don't want any sunlight to get in and you'll always need to be wearing a good mask preferably with a carbon filter built in. Realistically unless your family intend on sitting right outside the shed for long periods of time there should be very little risk if you just plonk a printer in there without any additional measures, but this does mean no one should go in there without a mask so it can't also be where Dad keeps the lawnmower or anything like that. More ventilation would be good as it'll mean youll have a less concentrated amount of fumes.
Limit exposure
Use Protective equipment
It's still pretty new so nothing is certain in terms of how harmful it can be or what long term effects will be but for now all we can do as hobbiest is take every precaution we can.
Hope this helps
