Cost of living and politics are indeed bad, but the main thing that makes me wish I could leave and never come back is the bloody weather! Seriously, it hasn't stopped raining for the last 18 months in my area. Just low pressure systems one after the other. July and January are indistinguishable. it's never warm, never cold, just grey, wet and utterly miserable 24/7/365. Everywhere looks filthy due to the incessant rain leaving all the roads and pavements coated in mud and sludge, everything in my house feels damp all the time due to the moisture in the air thanks to there never being a chance for things to dry out. It's enough to drive the most ardent teetotaler to binge drinking!

For the low crime rate statistics, likely due to police resources being at an all time low, and people simply aren't being prosecuted for "non-fatal crimes". Basically burglaries are no longer being investigated, let alone reported, so there's a huge dip in what would normally be considered punishable offenses - with a focus instead on traffic crime, as these are usually low-effort (sit around with speed cameras) and high reward due to fines.

If you want a preview of how it will be, live inside the M25 for a year - indigenous UK ethnic people are less than 40% of the population ! You can walk down many high streets and see few white people and those that are white speak a foreign language.... I was recently complimented by a chap on a building site about how the way I speak is so clear, he asked me where I learned English. When I told him that I am English he couldn't quite grasp what I was saying - there are so few people who speak English as a first language, and fewer still whose English is not poluted by what is percieved to be American/West Indian slang.
Immigrants are trying - and managing - to displace all the native people from our homeland. Some radical Muslims want to install a Sharia State situation.

That depends a lot on your circumstances and preferences I’d say. Work opportunities is usually a major consideration unless you’re retired. For example many professionals of working age have moved to UAE while many retirees move to Thailand. Some prefer Portugal as it’s close to home. One thing for sure, it’s not a decision to take lightly and it’s important to research each option thoroughly.

Its not correct to state Tax is needed to pay for essential services. Many would be much cheaper and better if run by private companies...one notable exception would be the water supply which would be better off managed by the State but for normal things like roads, rubbish collection etc it's 30+% cheaper if farmed out directly to a private company. The govt adds unnecessary cost and bloat for most essential services
