The Captain Tom Foundation Launch Day, September 2020

“After all that we have achieved over the last few months, and with the world still in recovery, it made sense to us to create a legacy. To raise money and push towards our vision of a more hopeful world. So, together with my family, we have created The Captain Tom Foundation. Now we can all stand shoulder to shoulder to make sure Tomorrow will be a good day”.
In summer 2020 Captain Sir Tom united the nation and gave hope when it was needed most. Carrying on his journey, and as a result of the unprecedented support he and his family have received, The Foundation has been set up to continue to inspire people and ensure Tom’s message of hope becomes an enduring legacy.
Captain Sir Tom and his family have identified causes close to their hearts which will benefit from the newly formed Foundation:
- Combating loneliness
- Supporting people facing bereavement
- Championing education and equality
- Supporting friends overseas
And they have chosen four charities with whom they will work to provide support and bring hope where it is needed most:
