  • Friday 30 April would have been Captain Sir Tom’s 101st birthday. We hope you are planning on joining us to celebrate his life and legacy by taking part in the Captain Tom 100.
To help set you up, take a look at our new video featuring Captain Tom's daughter Hannah Ingram Moore - we hope you and your children find it informative and inspiring!
Remember, all you need to do is take on a challenge based around the number 100, then complete it on Friday 30 April or continue the challenge at home right through to Monday 3 May.
The challenge can be tailored to suit all ages and abilities: it could be to read 100 pages in a book, give 100 compliments, run 100 metres, learn to count to 100 or solve maths problems to do with the number 100. Raise money for The Captain Tom Foundation or your chosen good cause, or just do your Captain Tom 100 challenge for fun!
You can find more ideas and resources on our website and in the schools resource area - posters, certificates, flyers and more! The Captain Tom Foundation has also teamed up with White Rose Maths to create a Captain Tom 100 maths activity for every year from Reception to Year 11, and with the National Literacy Trust to give you lots of literacy ideas for primary and secondary schools. Visit @ for everything you need.
Finally, whatever you choose to do, don’t forget to share your 100 challenge on social media using #CaptainTom100.
