    Hi Cassy thank you for sharing!regarding the base, I learned that they assign people based on availability, I am on the west coast, I do aware of the fact that they have some hubs here as well, but what are the chances of me getting assigned here on the west coast?I mean if I have finished training and then they tell me that oh you are gonna be based in Atlanta, that would be the deal breaker for me. So just trying to figure things out here in advance. Thank you❤

    • @CassandraRi
      @CassandraRi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! From my experience, when you're in training, you write down (in order) the top three bases you'd prefer to work out of.
      If the first isn't available, you get the second base (and so on and so forth).
      I've never met somebody who struck out on all three preferences - so long as you don't put Atlanta down as one of yours, they won't assign it to you :). Hope this helps!

  • @_mark_787

    Hi, how much does delta charge for training in 2023? Still researching cost online because I've read that sometimes they cover the training charge.

    Can you tell us how they choose your HUB after training?

    • @mlanaim87
      @mlanaim87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, can you explain like how long is the background, drug tests, etc… before getting into training school? I have F2F this month and I don’t know what to expect if they offer me.. I heard background can take months to a year before they bring you to ATL training

    • @CassandraRi
      @CassandraRi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mlanaim87 hey there! Background check only took a couple weeks for me. If you get a CJO on the spot during your F2F, you'll get drug tested immediately. I don't know when they drug test you otherwise since I didn't experience that. Your hubs depend on your base - so, if you're based in NYC, you have three (EWR, JFK, LGA). Most bases usually only have one or two.
      Hope that helps and wishing you the best of luck on your F2F!

      That kind of thing. We have been so busy we’ve been short-staffed, apparently all the airlines have been. I know you were a cfi, how’s that coming? Did you get your hours yet? I look at the pay, benefits, and incentives to fly an RJ and it’s better than it’s ever been 🙂

    Cars can pull over to the side of a road and wait. Boats can temporarily stop moving on an ocean and wait. Trains on rails can come to a stop and wait. But airplanes for some strange reason need to keep moving at all times or they'll crash. Now tell me how flying is "the safest mode of transport".
