I'm honestly so proud to be Sierra Leonean, our people are one of a kind, so welcoming and understanding. My Mum has always given me the freedom to make my own choices in things dating, work, education etc, she's never restricted me or told me I must marry a person from SL/same tribe like some of my other African friends parents do.
