Awesome! You gotta love Kato, its brand and its products. After a 40 year hiatus, COVID lock-down has gotten me back into modeling. Really enjoying n-scale. Cheers.

Nice! We can we see the Empire Builder come back into production? That would be an amazing release! An addon set with additional 46-seat vista dome cars and sleepers! It is a long consist but should be done right!

This is amazing, I really hope you produce a dreyfuss hudson to go with it, it was one of the most iconic locomotives ever, and, in my opinion, is more unique than a mass-produced EMD diesel. Awesome job though!

The Hudson type was the first streamlined steam locomotives that were standard after 2 earlier streamlined streamlined steam locomotives were rebuilt from conventional steam locomotives. The era of streamed steam locomotives built new was only from 1935 by the Milwaukee Road to the Norfolk and Western in 1950 in the J3 type class of 1950 numbered 613 to 615.

My review: I've had this for a couple of weeks. Absolutely beautiful to look at. I just ordered the four car add-on. The observation car derails at the same spot on my layout and I can't find the cause. I ran it backwards and it worked ok for a few runs and then it would derail again. I added a lead weight and it still derails. I added my Kato Santa Fe observation car and it worked smoothly, no derailing. Also, the E-7 diesels would derail on a certain curve. I changed their positions and they're operating well for now. I also ran my Kato E8 PRR diesels and they were very smooth in towing the NYC. I have Kato's PRR Broadway Limited, California Zephyr, Santa Fe Super Chief and they all worked flawlessly out of the box. I'll probably purchase another NYC observation car to see if that will make a difference.

Try checking to see if the axles are in Guage....for the ob car I would just buy new trucks on the website spare parts page....its a lot cheaper than buying a whole car....

Any chance to do a P or T motor? ( I think the EF11 Japanese electric is bo-bo and has the long end Platforms so could be painted as a NYC electric if you pull the pantographs...). While not as accurate as a real NYC P or T motor its better than nothing and a lot cheaper to do.. I want to model the Grand Central to Harmon run and the engine swaps there...
