    The man was being a true father. Even in the face of death. In my opinion

    I could legitimately believe Anthony Hopkins himself the actor could pull the scene off with actual death

    You can smile in the face of Death, challenge Death, fight Death and even joke About Death.
    But you can Not Mock Death, ignore Death or Avoid Death.
    Of all the things in LIFE, only Death is Certain.
    So, get Comfortable with Death.
    Meet Death on Your terms so that when he comes for you, as he does every living thing.
    You leave the world knowing you did your best to leave it a better place for having had you in it.
    Be excellent to each other.

      ""And the last to be overcome will be death." 1 Cor. 15:20,22, 25,26 Of course! Without the idea of death there is no world. All dreams will end with this one. This is salvation's final goal; the end of all illusions. And in death are all illusions born. What can be born of death and still have life? But what is born of God and still can die? The inconsistencies, the compromises and the rituals the world fosters in its vain attempts to cling to death and yet to think love real are mindless magic, ineffectual and meaningless. God is, and in Him all created things must be eternal. Do you not see that otherwise He has an opposite, and fear would be as real as love?" A Course in Miracles

      I find it sad that you miss the best performance of his life only to objectify him. ever since EVE women demonstrate the child like fascination with shiny baubles. JUST KIDDING! go ahead and enjoy you some young Brad Pitt. I just wanted to see what it felt like to take everything so seriously as seems to be all the rage these days.

      yeah they don't make them like they used to when character developement and wonderful writing took precedent over how many people of color were in the production staff. I can only assume you are very young or was raised by a recently discovered Amazonian tribe who live 6000 miles from the nearest theater. everyone I know saw this film. it won awards. IT WASN'T WOKE! I wonder if its AI or some being created without any idea of these human concepts. It creeps me out that some things created by god have a job 'forever' in which they hardly know what we do or know.

    That s how you know that the human imagination as big as it can be it will always still related to the life we know on earth linked to the flesh and blood and desires ,the day we start to see beyond this body that contain our soul which is just a costume used to adapt to our world that day we will understand why the Creator created us and what does HE want from us .

    Why does death have a gender? I mean are there supposed to be other "deaths" and that they are not immortal implying a need to procreate? Great movie with the personification of death, but the movie would have been better had they not try to introduce the silly romance between death and Susan.

    • @AoifeL93
      @AoifeL93 7 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      It's to do with the body it's in. Death isn't a person, a man or a woman, it's an element. He said so himself, he's just taking human form by possessing someone's body- and while it's in that body, it has the human instincts and desires of that body. Death has no need of food, and yet in this body he likes to eat- some things more than others, which is to do with the body that he's in. While he is flesh and blood, in this body, he is under the influence of human needs, desires, passions etc. Animals have a desire to procreate- it's the body not the soul. While death is human it makes total sense that he could become attracted to someone.

      Did you see the beginning of the movie? It is explained there. It was the body available at the time for death, and death took what was available. Besides all that, Brad Pitt was superb in the role :-)
