- The much anticipated TOA wiki guide is finally here. This is by far the hardest TOA related challenge I have ever completed, taking almost 8 hours of total attempts. No fang, no shadow, not even an occult necklace. This was NOT possible without a keris, even though it wasn't mentioned in the Wiki guide.
The main thing that made this harder was the lack of ruby bolts, as the wiki stated diamond bolts are a downgrade. This was also where I discovered how powerful mixed hide was, as the budget version was complete night and day for much cheaper.
This is likely the last wiki guide as I’ve gone over most content and it is getting a bit stale. I may come back at some point and run a CM in wiki gear for fun, I can’t currently because the mage thrall is still broken and won’t turn olm head properly.

FYI mixed hide chaps were at 16k for a little and then promptly went up to 100k several days ago. Since then they keep dropping to 40k then back up. I’ve been chillin at pyre foxes making like 3.5 mil an hour crafting them

Hey, this is finally the series that got me into watching more of your content. You obviously have all the stats for the videos and such, but I imagine many others enjoyed them aswell. Started enjoying your other content as well, as I previously imagined it was too ''tryhard'' for someone as casual as me. Keep up the great content:)

this is top tier pvm content, the crusty switches with rainbow vomit inventory tags are chefs kiss. Shame I only found out about this series as it was seemingly ending for now.
Why do I keep having to fight the warden that uses melee and not the one you fight?

i don't think these are getting stale tbh! they're very entertaining and it's a novelty to see rarely used gear in general. if it's getting boring to you tho then fair enough, would love to see more otherwise
Stale as in the wiki doesn't have many bosses for me to do anymore, it was indeed very fun to do!

ToA Advanced Tactics has a lot of indepth info that should help. It takes a lot of practice, don't be afraid to go into a 0 invo and just practice butterflying Ahkka or Insanity only Warden etc

Don't frown because it's over. Smile because it happened. Wiki guides are both humbling for any skill level that content is achievable much as we dunk cheap or bad gear. You don't need full Torva or Bandos as a low lv im or PvM/raids noob, it can be fun
Is zebak 0 damage if you do everything correctly? More specifically on the attacks where you get hit with a blood barrage and a range hit together? A friend of mine swears you can pray against both 100% of the time . Am I just doing it wrong?
A level 2 or 3 zebak can be perfectly prayed against, lower or higher level has the blood barrage align with the ranged hits during enrage 50% of the time and are unflickable

The abby dagger is so bad, before i had a fang i was using hasta as when toa came out i didnt even have 82 attack 😅

Check out the rankings for Blade of Saeldor and Blade of Saeldor (c) on the wiki. If you look at use where they rank them they use them interchangeably as if using the non-corrupted version is better than the corrupted. Wiki should fix this. But Gnomonkey shedding a better light on that they should rank setups as in best setup 1, best setup 2, etc instead of best and their downgrades.

are we sure about mixed hide being better than karils on nex? definitely better damage but youre losing a lot of mage defense. Eclipse top & bottom seem better & generally better depending on strength bonus breakpoints

this whole topic is ironic from the very start (it isnt actually a BUG!)
i know most of the viewers here wont appreciate a pking ramble but hey-ho... without the background nobody would be able to present a decent fix for this issue
they have purposefully done this because lets say you were pking with the 3 tick hunters sunlight crossbow you can just wait for an xp drop and then ballista or dbow or rcbow 1way
and because 3tick is so quick (and because the person sending the crossbow attack gets an xp drop to notify them even earlier to switch to a spec weapon) they have essentially removed the element of fair pking and made it into a latency vs latency situation
the irony comes from the fact that if they didnt make such a stupid 3 tick weapon that hit 35's in the first place they wouldnt of had to implement this stupid feature to stop people 1waying in pvp
its same scenario as the atlatl special effect and the bloodmoon armour, making attacks hit 1 tick sooner than they should was deemed "cool" when it was presented to people but all its caused is a ruining of the combat system where people with higher latency are further punished... which is again ironic considering the devs actually expect people to PK or learn to PK on and off world rota's..
(and fyi i play on 15ms so im not complaining out of spite im complaining so that it gets fixed for those sorry souls who dont have 15ms)
so long story short its like "oh go play and pk on 200ms" "oh but gl surviving against attacks that hit you faster than your internet connection can process the eat"
but it wont get fixed until some popular streams HCIM dies to it and outrage happens
and if they "fix" this like you and i would both hope you are going to get innocent pvmers who get barraged, then hunters crossbowed, and before the hunters xbow hitsplat has even appeared theres already a darkbow spec heading towards you
oh and lastly i would like to add the reason the only other 3tick crossbow with similar attributes to the HSC is the bone crossbow... they made that thing hit 10's and 12's for a reason, then the new devs come in with less comprehension of the overall game and make a crossbow that hits 3x that.. unreal.
@@SHERMA. bone crossbow is actually 4t on rapid, which makes sunlight hunter's even more busted by comparison

Turning it on and off? Not sure what you're referring to, flicking it as you attack with a protection prayer absolutely saves prayer
@@GnomonkeyRS nah man. record yourself 1ting piety with a protection prayer on, and then compare it to a video with leaving both prayers on.
this goes with any prayers btw. leave a slow draining prayer like prot item on while 1ting piety and watch how fast it drains.

He only ever used items that the wiki told him to bring, besides keris (Which is fair, as he isn't doing the 0-150s that the worst gear is meant for. I don't think it is possible without keris).
The quote that you have for him saying that he has to cheat is him using the blowpipe for something other than a spec. Which is because anyone with that gear isn't using blowpipe only for the spec.
@@somerandomashellperson7130 Then why was he so insistent on using the serp helm as his ranged helm? With that same logic, he should've only been able to use blowpipe for a spec weapon. The fact that he picks and chooses what to apply the rules to is, as he puts it, cheating lol

At this point I think the wiki should hire you to replace all of the recommended gear downgrades or they just need to implement gearscape into the wiki
The problem isn't that the downgrades are wrong as in there being better options to downgrade, it's that they go 4 downgrades deep in slots where you realistically should never be using worse than 2nd bis
@@dclikemtndew The issue IMO is that a lot of the setups use the downgrade chart to demonstrate that certain gear is worse than other options, instead of writing a footnote. Like instead of just writing "slash bonus > strength bonus > defence", the Vardorvis setup shows the elysian as the minimum recommendation to get across that it's a really bad option, but all that does is communicate that it's a reasonable downgrade because why else would it be on the chart?
@@astrosurfer I think they include so many downgrades in an effort to be as exhaustive as possible, but i agree they should cut things down to just the downgrades that are reasonable and leave out reccomending stuff like the power ammy for dt2 bosses lol
