Love Jeff falling to his knees at the end for Imeldas vocal on a song sacred to Irish people. Lovely to see a sensitive and talented Irishwoman and a sensitive and talented English man working together with such mutual respect. Gorgeous and powerful.
Michael McLoughlin This is great version of a great song. I've been hearing this song all my life. It never fails to amaze me how many great versions I've heard of this song' It just takes feeling.
This could easily be one of the cheesiest songs of all time - but performed by such great musicians it is nothing but 6.42 minutes constant goose bumps! I hope Jeff Beck and Imelda May work together ASAP!
Absolutely outstanding from the Guvnor🎸+ the rest of this amazing band 👏😃 Missing you Jeff-heartbroken 💔 RIP, I’ll always listen to you playing be it any guitar as you can play them all in my eyes you are indeed “The Guvnor”🎸👍
So absolutely brilliant! I wish we just had a few more seconds of video at the end….Wow that was terrific. Thanks for uploading… Beck, the drummer, Imelda May, all stunning. ❤❤🎶🎶🙏🙏
I was told something once that really sums up any "best player" debate. A friend who knew how said that Jimmy Page's solo on 'Stairway to Heaven' isn't that hard to play once a musician understands what Page was doing. Then he added, "but there's a million guys out there who WISH they'd thought of it". Jeff Beck constantly comes up with approaches that are singularly unique, until he's done it and the followers kick in. By then he's developing something else.

If Jeff Beck can't play it it is only because Jeff Beck doesn't want to play it. The guy is the absolute Mt. Everest of guitarists.

Imelda is just letting Jeff's solo cascade over her body.

This is the Jackie Wilson version
clearly Imelda's vocals inspired by the Tom Jones version arrangement
