I'm sure in my entire life, you're the first person I've ever heard someone say "accounting/tax/audits..." And "creative" in a go. I would have never thought being a CA is exciting. Great video 👍❤️

I never wanted to be an Accountant, however my dad sort of psychologically forced me into it lol. Right now I'm doing an Accounting Bridging Course and next year I'm looking forward to starting my Diploma in Accounting. I never did Accounting in high school at fet phase, but I remember I hating ems in grade 8&9 lol. I'm slowly learning to just enjoy it, because I have this big fear it's going to be too hard for me. Watching people like you inspires me and really gets me thinking that maybe I can actually do this. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Hey where are you doing your bridging course and how is it going? Also are you self funded? If not which bursary are you using?
@@kimi7200 I'm doing it at the Durban University of Technology. I guess things are going well so far, we do full time online. I do 4 module (1. INTRO TO FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING, 2. INTRO TO TAXATION. 3. INTRO TO MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING, 4. INTRO TO QUANTITATIVE LITERACY. We have one class each day for each module. I am self-funded, because the institution itself does not allow nsfas for the course (not sure about other independent bursaries)

I would also like to put it out there that it is possible to study for bcom accounting when you did mathlits at school in uj I'm not sure of other universities though but I mostly find that many students who wish to study for this stream and did mathlits lose hope as they think it's impossible... I think most people don't talk about this matter in particular all they have to do is get a level 6/7 and they are able to apply... The difference is they'll have an extended

Heyyy... it's Kele here it's Friday the 16th of December 2022 2:20am...and this day because of you i know where I will be in the next 6years.. I'll be sitting in my bed and studying my butt off...and 3 years in varsity...am 15 in grade 9 going to grade 10 next year and I will be taking commerce...i just wanna say thank you for sharing your journey with us...I mean on becoming a CA...I always had in mind wat typa job I wanted but I never knew if it existed...but now I know and thanks to you...am highly motivated and excited for the challenge that am signing up for...I just wanted to give you a little gift from me to you thanking you for what you doing on this page...educating us...and opening the first door for us to CA...and my gift is that today I wanna thank you and let you know that wat you doing it's pretty good...on my side thank you very much...thank you soo soo much just for telling me about CA...keep on doing you thing ma'am...and always be motivated...am not a person of encouraging others...but today I will say I tried🤪.

With regards to subjects, I actually didn't study accounting in high school. I took Physics, Biology (Life Sciences), Economics, Business Studies, pure Maths.

Hi i might start doing a diploma in accounting will i be able to further study and be an accountant?
I can't believe I used to dream of being a CA one day while I was still in high school (Maths said No) and I didn't know any of the things you covered in this video. More especially the part where CA's are trained to have the potential to lead in corporate. I thought only people who studied vo Business Management are the ones allowed to lead.

Just had a question, can I become a internal auditor and apply to other ca jobs like external auditing, consulting etc
I am not too sure about that.
Consulting is not necessarily a CA job and anyone can do it, really.
When it comes to external audit, I think ask around. Audit procedures (internal vs external) are not THAT different, so I would think you should be able to do the job. Maybe not sign off the audit report but defs be able to do the work.

Awungbuzanga but why not 😂 like she said you need 60% in most universities and yes math is important. I’m currently doing my Honours. But don’t worry you won’t do trigonometry and calculus there 😂 also, look into the CFA designation you might like it more MAYBE, im planning on being a CA(SA) & CFA too
