I wish I had known about this stuff before now, and wish I had known how sensitive carbon fiber is! I have a carbon fiber vented hood and it rains often in my city, the hard water in the rain has really started to stain... What can I do to clean it off?! I will definitely be buying this stuff , wish I had known sooner!
Hey! Check out Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover to restore clarity and gloss. www.chemicalguys.com/water-spot-removal-kit/VIR308.html?gtmListValue=Internal%20Search
I know this is an old comment but if anyone else sees this, I was told to put distilled vinegar on a microfiber and wipe it and sure enough that worked perfectly if the water stains haven't sat on the carbon for too long. Not sure what defines "too long" but something about hard water staining down into the gel coat on top of the carbon fiber.
What do u do if ur carbon fibre wing starts to get some white clouding. Every time I machine polish them off, they disappear and the wing is perfect again, but they re-appear with time? What causes this?
Antony V with lots of carbon fiber parts, an epoxy resin is used or often now a 2k clear coat, but when it clouds up or oxidized that means that the UV protection in that area is diminished, or diminishing. You can re clear parts to give new layers of UV protection or I also believe you can (with some brands) ceramic coat over carbon to give some UV protectant. I’m not a chemical guy obviously but I do professionally detail cars and have seen some really damaged carbon over the years. Hope this was possibly helpful to you! Have a nice day
I have 2 carbine fiber Stripes about 12 inch wide going down the hood of my truck and have one one tail gate that's came that way from factory can I use the jet seal on them ?
I've just been waxing my carbon fiber parts. Would it be better for me to clay it off and use Jet Seal instead? I was also planning on trying your new Hydro Slick for my entire car. Is Jet Seal better for Carbon Fiber than Hydro Slick?
@@frankyrg95hotmail Professional ceramic coats like Opticoat are around $1,000 to have done by a shop here in SoCal. Applying the products I mentioned were significantly cheaper.
Hi Jose! Machine polishing will remove a fine layer of clear coat to reveal a fresh, mirror like surface. I recommend using VSS Scratch & Swirl Remover for faded/oxidized carbon fiber. - CG Nick

I went the full mile, Hydro Charge, Hydro Slick, Blacklight, Jet Seal, Lava Wax.

Is there a difference in maintaining matte and glossy carbon?
Hi there! To prevent matte from staining or changing its sheen, use Meticulous Matte Auto Wash and Meticulous Matte Spray Sealant.
Does this prevent clouding?
Yes, add protection against harsh elements as well as gloss by following this video!

Yes, absolutely!!
