Have you ever tried spray on polyethylene?
It's a good option and it becomes a hardener and protector.

Hey Rybonator! Every time you make these shell-mode dice, I'm gonna ask: if you fill the inside with solid black, you can get some hyper color-shift powders from somewhere like Solar Color Dust and put that on the outside. I think that would look amazing.
Oh I could do that! I've done some color shifting stuff before, but doing it on a surface like this would be pretty easy I'd imagine. I'll order some!
That paint looks gorgeous! They turned out so well. The “subtle” friend ribbing was also hilarious. I hope you had an easy recovery. The virus definitely sucks.

I adore these!! The black and yellow work SO well together and they look a bit like black marble or those cracks that you fix with gold.
I really had to hold myself back from putting gold inking on them, but I think in the end it looked better without it :) Glad you like them!

If you want the lines to reliably connect, you could paint onto the shell dice after they've cured, wait for that paint to dry, and then pour the outside on 'em. Shouldn't interfere with your cast if you don't paint too thick, while giving you full control over where the paint goes on the dice.

I love Destiny 2. It saved my life at the height of my depression. I would love to get a set of Hunter themed dice. This was a great video.

I've just got into Destiny 2 & Main Warlocks, it's become my new Obsession
If you want lines to connect lines, I would paint the internal die after they cure so I can connect the lines and once dry put them into the second mold.
Damn son! Jarrod MUST be a work horse! You rode him all the way into town and back again 3 times! (He may just return the favor and leave YOU a present at the stable door!) (Here's to happy shoveling!)

I saw something in a dice group that I'd love to get your take on. It was dice using a two part mold like yours, but the insert was decorated with washi tape.
This video looks great but I'm a bit busy right now, I think I'll have time to watch in hmmm. About 4 days?
(I love the painting on this one! It gives a lot of energy to it which helps the two tone pop even more)
If you have trouble with painting straight lines try some fine tip posca markers. They're basically paint markers, really easy to do fine lines.

Gorgeous gorgeous dice! I have a video request to go over "minking" it's a type I've seen a few times on the dice making reddit and they look pretty darn cool.
To make straighter lines, I would have made plain black inserts and painted the yellow lines after, but before the glitter shell
I have a fun idea for you, it would essentially be a magic 8ball, but a large dice, with a larger then average dice inside, suspended in a murky liquid (maybe two types of oil based liquids that don't mix), with the smaller dice saying things on its sides, per say, Yes but it's a mimic, Find Out and Roll, NO!, The Opposite of what you asked, Ask Again Later, I Don't Know ask the DM, just funny little tid bits, to play around with in the tavern or random questions you don't wanna answer whist doing something, so you say ask the Arch Dice or something lmao
Also, a video trying different types of ash in dice, per say, charcoal, paper ash, red holo glitter and charcoal together for maybe a ember effect, and any other forms of ash or types of coal ish items to use

sick color combo! would probably be easier/cleaner if you painted the lines on the blanks after casting tho (if that's the look you want, of course). that way it won't separate weird like it does on the silicone of the mold 👍
