What's great about Nonon is that upon first viewing one would think she is just a pompous, spoiled brat, but she actually has the skills and strengths to back it up and her admiration and loyalty to Satsuki is both sweet and a pleasing character trait that makes her attitude come across less as "annoying" and more of a foil for Mako much like how Satsuki is a foil for Ryuko.
Oh, absolutely. When I first watched KLK, I thought Nonon was going to be exactly the standard pompous spoiled brat that most stories have, but as the show went on I was surprised by how enjoyable her character was and how restrained, so to speak, the writers were in her implementation. Like you said, she becomes less annoying and more of an interesting foil to the cast. Not to mention that Nui arrived just in time to steal the "pompous spoiled brat villain" spotlight away, which just so happened to be immediately after Nonon's defeat by Ryuko in that arena fight. To be honest, Ragyo's and Nui's reveals as the true sadistic villains really made Satsuki and the Elite Four all the more enjoyable.
It’s obvious Nonon and Satsuki are close. Nonon even referred to Ragyo as “auntie” (I imagine it was a thing from childhood, but became so much harder to do once Satsuki let Nonon in on her true plans).
The audience is completely bonkers. Half of the arena has been completely blown to ashes along with anyone who was sitting in those sections, there are massive cracks in what's LEFT of the arena, Nonon's music has ruptured every single eardrum within a 2000m radius, and they STILL DEMAND MORE OF THE SHOW. I can only assume every single person in attendance was just paying for the privilege of dying in the most spectacular fashion possible.
I don't think it was ever mentioned on the show but I wonder what Nonon said once she realized she was insulting Satsuki's little sister the entire time lol
