at the 6:32 mark I just poked a good length of wire into the engine bay from inside the car, located it (easy since it's a bright blue wire) and fished it out with my hands. If it's a little cluttered under the hood you can use one of those things old folks/people with disabilities use to grab stuff to grab onto it and pull it out too. Maybe I'm just lucky though, because despite it being a mini van it was easy enough, albeit a little uncomfortable and cramped, to just grab the end with my hand after I poked it through the grommet.
This is my first time installing subs. I have an aftermarket radio, will I need to cut all the wires for it still? That’s the only thing I’m confused about in this video. Why did you need to cut all the radio wires?
34:10 is sound test for anyone looking for it but I was going to get a set of 12” but the same manufacturer what do you guys think should I get 8” or 12”
So the speaker wire from amp just has one woofer speaker wire connection? I was thinking on getting this system, but removing the speakers and mounting them in the left / right side panels in a 73 ford pinto, It's a trunk model Pinto, I have 6x9s in the rear panel near the back glass already, If I set it up as i said here, can't I use the rcs outs and run them to each speaker? It's weird how it has 2 speaker in the box, but only one speaker connection on the back
I have a question, do you believe these will fit in a 93 s10 pickup/tahoe? The truck has had no speakers since I purchased it and I had it sitting because I been waiting to get my permit since last year in April, just been looking to get a nice somewhat system for a nice price.
I’m having a problem with the amplifier, all the wires are wired correctly and connected to the amplifier but it wont turn on? i’m not sure why, I thought maybe I didn’t wire the car correctly so I tested out a different amplifier and it worked just fine. Any clue why the Rockville amplifier wont work?
on the Rockville amp? I have not touched any of them since i received the amplifier. The gain id to 6V Bass eq to 0dB LP to 50Hz FR to 10Hz and Crossover Mode to FR
I did everything in the video and im getting power to the amp but my sub woofers wont work I tryed a second set of speaker wires and still nothing. Any tips ?
@@DrivenbyGears what would be the best settings for the amp I've never touched one or seen one really for a sub that is, or should I look up videos telling me how cause I listen to more to hip hop/rap and idk if you listen to that type of music so idk if my anp tuning should be different
Do you know where the rca cables hook up on the radio? I have a Sony radio that has 2 black ports, 1 red, 1 white, and then 1 blue one that says “sub rear audio out.” But there’s 2 rca cords so I’m a little confused. If you know anything that can help me I would really appreciate it!
Honestly I picked up a 10' Rockville sub with that same amp and it really sounds nice.
Very good, it is sound this is subwoofers rockville, perfect sound The bass.silvio from Brazil.
I just bought mine and got it installed. It does sound good.

Sorry I’m a bit slow and wanna make sure it’s all right, so to be sure, the blue wire just connects to the blue wire from your stereo correct?
yes as long as it says remote wire or power antenna

I didn't cut all the wires I did a new head unit so the wires were never wired up. So no don't cut anything just hook up rca cables and remote wire .
@@DrivenbyGears ahh ok. That makes much more sense. I was thinking why did he cut all the wires just to solder them back together? Ha

@@DrivenbyGears oh one more question what video has that song on it
Okay question, to be clear, you got a new radio harness setup and just normally wired that but added the blue wire?
No blue wire comes from factory its the remote wire or power antenna wire, it's basically a power wire from the key
i know im late, but i had heard that you don't want to mount amp t box. Any thoughts?
Yeah a lot of ppl do but it could mess up the amp and also cause distortion
Never run your rca on the same side as your power it causes interference

Beautiful install, 1 thing though, never attach your amp to your box, it will greatly shorten the life of your amp due to the excess vibration
So you do hook up the REM? And what did you wire it to
When you received your package did the subwoofer already come in the box?
Yes
@@DrivenbyGears okay thanks !
Do you need a extra battery or one of those things that hold power to run this more then a hour at a time
You should get a capacitor
Do you just wire the remote wire to an auxiliary wire?

hey i don't have RCA outputs in my factory radio, can you maybe make a video on how to set up the high low wiring onto the factory radio?
Sure
OK but how are there two remotes? How'd you wire it? And mine came with an independence converter with the exact speakers.

No it sits like that and has the vent on the bottom
I have the same amp but with 12 inch subs and mike does not bump like this. How could I make it hit harder? The little knobs on the AMP?
