DIY Arched Bookshelves | How I Made Bookshelves for my Home Office

It's been my dream to have a wall of bookshelves, so I decided to put them in myself in my new home office! I got the actual bookshelves from Walmart (you can also find similar ones at Ikea) and made the arches with hardboard. Overall it was a pretty simple project but it did take a little while since I worked on the project in the evening!

This is such a good idea!! I always loved the look of arched bookshelves but thought it would be out of my price range. This is an amazing budget friendly way to achieve a really sophisticated look :))

They look sooo pretty!!! I've seen people add lights and things on there! so pretty!
Looks great! I think something that would help elevate it is if you're happy with all the shelf heights, use some wood filler to fill over the other holes on the inside of the bookcases so you dont have all the different heights so visible :)

Looks great but I think a better solution would have been making face frames out of whole pieces to eliminate the joints👍

That’s how my dad taught me! You don’t have to buy a caulk finishing tool this way 🤷🏻♀️
What bookshelves did you use? Everyone seems to use IKEA's Billy bookcase but my room is 1.5" too short to use them. The ones you used look thinner and I neeeed to know lol help mee
