He is so right, why do we say we love India so much if as a prople we do not respect it ourselves. We are just too insulated in our own selfish wants and needs to look around to see we are the problem. We chant Jai Hind but to what end.

Increasing tourism 10 fold will require at least 5-15 fold improvement in infrastructure and clean up of India’s prime monuments and places of interest.

    A very hopeful talk!
I do hope that there is, somewhere in the national plan, a grid-connected electric vehicle charging network. This would help solve two problems in one. Power and Transport. The batteries of the charging points and the connected vehicles (both having their own computers) would volunteer a variable amount of power (say 20%) and at peak time this would help meet the extra demand. This would also allow "unreliable" (not available 24/7) but sustainable sources of power (like solar, and wind) to supply power. Mitigating the cost and giving us a distributed, smart, power, grid. :-)

Just tried to visit India from San Francisco USA few months ago. India's VISA process sucks! "On line" VISA application process is shame to Indian technology. After three weeks and 2 visits to CKGS I gave up on plan to visit India. For any proud Indian Consulate officer- here is my request- Please make your VISA process so simple that even grand mother can apply and get it in a day or two.

All those interested in reviving India's cultural values and seeing back India as a great nation, do the following:
    1. Stop telling lies and teach your children not to lie. For long, we have all been telling lies to each other. It has seeped into our genes, no doubt as a way of self-preservation during foreign rule. This needs to stop now.
The moment you stop lying, you get self-respect. God's grace starts to flow. This cannot be seen but it happens.
The implications of telling the truth are vast indeed and can't be discussed here. This means paying your taxes, not hoarding money etc etc.
    2. Start taking pride in your civilizational values. This is not easy as we do not even know what they are. Most of our great teachings, discoveries, inventions are hidden from us and are in a language most Indians either don't know or don't care to know. I am talking about Sanskrit. If you learn this amazing language (which is not difficult as many Americans are doing it), you will enter a different world which will make you feel proud to be connected to this "Indic" civilization".
With self pride and truthfulness, everything else falls in place. A cop in New York will feel insulted if you offer him a bride as he has pride in his work and feels insulted. Why does the same not happen to a cop in say Delhi or Bangalore? It is not just the salary. Cop in New York does not earn that much in comparison to say at IT guy in US.

Mr. Goyal coalition governments are better than majority-dominated ones. The latter type tend to be totalitarian. You can verify this from the post independence history of India.
