It came out beautiful! I've been using using grease to press my hair all of my sixty five years and I will continue to do so. My hair is still long and healthy when the things my daughter and granddaughters do to their hair has really damaged their hair.

Great effort! a tip, next time, I suggest using the pressing oil on it's own and only once for the blow dry and the iron and use a quarter size distributing through your entire hair first before heat styling. You'll see the difference in quality and how silky your hair comes out when you use it sparingly and without other products weighing it down.
Same way! My hair doesn't get straight with heat protectants. Reverts back the next day like I haven't straightened it at all. Going to try some of the oils you can use as heat protectants like coconut oil,argan oil,grapeseed oil etc. My hair tends to get weighed down easily. If that don't work going to try the dax. I really honestly don't know why I straight away from how my mother did my hair when I was younger. She always washed her hair with Alberto V05 then she towel dried it then she greased it with the blue magic and put some sulfur 8 in the grease and then straightened it with a hot comb. That all of that my hair never broke off I never saw my hair on my pillow my hair didn't used to fall out when I combed it you know how you can see it in the sink. I wore the cotton scarves you know the old-fashioned ones that's what they say these days they're old-fashioned. And my hair always grow she never clipped our ends and my sisters and I hair was beautiful all the time. Fast forward to right now they lie and tell you that grease clogs your pores well how did my hair grow they tell you to clip your ends or your hair won't grow well my head did grow. There's so many lies these days concerning products just so the other person can make money. So what I did I'm transitioning back to the way my mother did my hair when I was younger. All these products that I had brought through the years wasted my money on I'm not using them anymore. Even those flat irons that go up to 400 and something degrees. People may call the older generation old-fashioned but they knew what they were doing.

I prefer the greasy look myself. My hair is high porosity and it needs the weight. If I didn't use grease it would poof back up in 5 minutes! Lol heck it barely stays straight with the grease!

I dont think putting grease on every section was necessary, but it definitely helps coarse/thick/dense hair get straighter with less heat and stay straight longer. I just wouldn’t use as much

My mom would wash our hair with egg shampoo and braid our hair,the next day she would press our hair with apex pressing oil with a hot comb,our hair stayed pressed for two weeks .so every two weeks it was washed and pressed,don't remember ever having our ends clipped but we had long hair,I still do the same thing and have long hair.

I haven’t tried pressing with the other Dax other than the coconut pressing one, but the only difference I can say is the pressing oil one is a lot light. I feel the others will be too heavy for pressing.
Wonder if this would work on non african curly hair. I tried everything and nothing works except permanent straightening (relaxer,keratin,..) I'm gonna give grease a go and see how it goes

No it’s fine. These are the results for a day or so, afterwards the hair starts to separate and have more flow. Also I was a little heavy handed with the grease as I used it to blow dry my hair before straightening. 👍🏽

You need a flatirons that's 1.5 inches. You'll finish your hair much quicker.

I used the same products but my results did not come out straight, and today I am poofy in Mobile, Alabama
